November 18th, 2008 - As of tomorrow at 8am I'm going to be induced. I'm scared out of my wits. I really can not wait to see him, but I'm sooooo scared that I'm not going to the best mom, or could i handle the labor? what if something goes wrong? What if the daddy isnt there the moment he comes? Am I going to be able to breastfeed? How am I going to manage my time? Will I ever think of being the best at work like I always have now that i have a baby? Will people think of me differently because I'm a mother? Will my fiance ever think I'm attractive again? I'm all mixed emotions right now. I think i'm feeling everyone that is in the book. I dont know what to expect from an induction, like will it make me sick, will it hurt more than natural, will it work, what does it feel like, what are the side effects? OMG my mind is racing a million miles an hour. I absolutely hate hospitals, and i'm going to be stuck in one for 2 days. I'm trying to breathe....this is really really scary.

I've been really emotional also. Usually I keep everything all bundled up but that has been impossible since I got pregnant. Talking about crying out of nowhere-My tenant was two days late for paying rent and I totally freaked out because we need that money to pay our mortgage. On the train to work with my husband that day I say to him "I'm such in a bad mood" He's like I can tell. And I just started crying in the train aha. I was just so scared the lady wouldn't pay this month. A non-pregnant me would have just asked that afternoon if there was a problem.

It definitely makes getting ready very interesting. I do crack myself up a lot!! LOL I feel huge all of a sudden, it's like one day it just pops out and never goes back in....and I still have 11 weeks to go, oh my!!

Hey, i am VERY emotional and ill myself so you are not alone!!! Yesterday i snapped at pretty much my WHOLE family for no reason then i left and cried for 2 hours when they didnt even do anything wrong!! I snapped on THEM! And my poor boyfriend..... i think i am making him lose his mind lol! One second im HAPPY and next min im down in the dumps..... if i wasnt pregnant i would think that i had become bi-polor because i swear that my moods just change outta NO WHERE! I need to sign to wear that says "please stand at least 10 feet back.. harmonal pregnant woman could snap at any moment" lol! but THEN if people stayed away from me i would be sad about that too lol! so i guess its a lose lose situation lol!

Hi, the shots everyone is talking about is the anti'd' shot, you only need it if you've got RH Neg blood group, its to prevent your body from building up a restiance to positive anti bodies so your blood doesn't attack your babys. Your first pregnancy shouldn't be to affected but future pregnancys could be affected, and the injection tricks your body not to reconise positive anti bodies. x

no problem, I rented a pump from the hospital for 2 weeks and it worked just fine but it cost $40, so that's $80 a month. I figured $150 was a pretty good deal and it works just as well as the hospital pump. I hope that helped. Good luck!

the regular u/s screening revealed slightly bigger kidneys. most times it resolves itself before birth, sometimes it stays and baby may need to take antibiotic. it is also a soft marker for down syndrome. but both my regular doc and the genetic counselor are doubtful it is down as i don't have any other markers. usually kidneys are dilated due to an obstruction, but we can't find one...hmmmm. Another u/s late Sept may reveal more....

Do not beat yourself up about your weight gain. No need. You are well within the healthy limits of gaining....right on target. I think as of the 5th or 6th month we're supposed to gain 1 lbs per week!! Look at me: I've gained 30 and still have 3 months to go!!!!!! Off to see my doc today for regular appointment. Glucose test, and i've got all these pains and aches that i need to talk to her about...plus the situation of the baby's kidneys being so dilated ;-(
