My pretty baby!!!!!! Trinabear18 -
Sunday, 29 June hi I just wanted to let you know all the milks are excellent. But we use enfamil lipil with iron. You have to make sure to pay attention to what your baby likes. and enfamily sent me to big cans in the mail. and they always send vouchers. Enfamil lipil with iron was also the milk they suggested and started with in the hosiptal. My kids has had only two spit-ups and he is 10 weeks. I hope you find a good milk and remeber do not rush it and try to sopen at least two weeks on one paticular milk before changing. I was alos breast feeding but milk dried up on it's automatically. crazy I know!! hotlipsmommy -

Sunday, 29 June hi there! beckett drinks similac advanced with the blue label. when we had to supplement in the hospital, they gave him the similac ; i figured i'd stick with it since he liked it. i think that whatever works best for you and brooklyn is best, no matter what brand. don't feel bad about feeding brooklyn less breastmilk; as much as i think we'd like to give the babies nothing but breastmilk for 6 mos or more, it's actually very difficult, esp if you're working. i went back to work in mid-May and it was HARD, but it gets better. i used a breastpump and mixed the milk w/ formula up until last week; i miss the breastfeeding, but beckett's doing so well and just growing like crazy
he's started solids and will be 5 mos next week -- wow! and brooklyn is 2 mos, congratulations!! can you believe how much the babies change and grow in such a short time? i have to tell you, it gets to be more and more fun; every week just brings more surprises and you find yourself looking forward to them so much. anyway, enjoy the rest of your leave with brooklyn and don't worry about going back to work -- it will work itself out and you'll learn all kinds of new ways to spend great quality time with brooklyn.

Thursday, 5 June hey, miss lady! sorry you guys are still having crib problems but so glad to hear brooklyn's growing up so well -- around 6-8 weeks you may notice she really gets big; they look like different kids! her photo on your page is beautiful -- she is just a doll
as far as how much she should be eating, the guideline is 4-6 oz at a feeding. some kids want a little less, some a little more, so try giving her 3 oz and see how she does. if she's content, then 3 oz is perfect. if she acts fussy after the bottle is gone, or seems hungry again just a short time later, give her an extra oz and then at her next feeding, try giving her 4 oz. she'll let you know if she wants more or less.beckett turns 4 mos tomorrow, and I can hardly believe it! he just started eating cereal in the morning and is just a plump and yet tall little guy and so SO fun to be around. even when he's raising hell, you just hve to love him, haha!
hope this helps and let me know how it goes! xoxo's to you and brooklyn

Monday, 19 May did i really send it to you 3 times? horrible!! lol, sorry about that. i use a PDA to get online a lot and i think it does weird things that i don't even realize. anyway, so glad you guys are having better luck getting Brooklyn to bed -- it stinks when your baby is screaming and you know they should be sleeping. outside of a doc's appt, i waited about 3 weeks to take my baby out to places, mostly b/c it was february and cold and so many people were sick with colds, etc. but once that 3 wks was up and the weather got better, i started taking him out all over, every day i could, even if just for short periods. my take on that is that the more situations you expose your little one to, the easier they adapt to new places and things. so far, that is the case with my baby and he's very easygoing. i also keep hand sanitizer and wipes on me at all times so i can keep my hands (and other peoples') clean when we're outside of the house.
take care and feel free to message me anytime! karenc -
Saturday, 17 May okay, I thought about it some more and just wanted to pass on some suggestions:
~ some babies don't like the coolness of cotton sheets. you might try a flannel sheet or pad over the fitted mattress shee. we did this w/ my son b/c the cool sheets kept waki.g him up.
~ some moms put a shirt they've worn in the crib w/ baby, so the baby can smell you and feel comforted
~ after being nice & warm for so long inside mom's tummy, babies can find the big, open crib scary. try using rolled up towels around your baby to make a little 'nest' that will be comforting in it's closeness. and try swaddling if you haven't -- my son LOVES to be swaddled & sleeps like a rock... still! karenc -

Saturday, 17 May ugh, that's tough! okay, does she only pitch a fit in the crib? or is it whenever you put her down anywhere, like a bassinet or the car set ot swing? I wonder if it's something about the crib or even the room. and do you swaddle her? you may have said before, but my brain is oatmeal :) karenc -
Thursday, 15 May I talked to my mom about this issue you're having and she thinks that, until the baby is old enough to cry it out (6 mos), you should have your husband put the baby in the crib after the changing and feeding. but keep trying -- let her cry for 5 mins or so, then pick her up and let your husband do it. do you think your husband would be cool with that plan? karenc -
Tuesday, 13 May hi there - re your post about putting your baby down; are you breastfeeding? I ask b/c some babies associate breastfeeding mom w/ meal time, not sleep time. NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
