I'm 22 and deeply in love with my to-be daddy. I found out on Nov 7 I am pregnant for the 1st time and on Nov 29 that we are having twins. I feel so lucky to have naturally conceived twins because it's rare for women my age to do so. I'm nervous, excited, happy, and scared, but I'm looking forward to this crazy process!

TUESDAY, JANUARY 29

Today, I'm 17w2d. My belly is very evident at this point! I'm finally wearing maternity clothes. I'm anxiously awaiting the babies' movements, but I haven't clearly felt any at this point. It could be because I'm not sure what to expect. I have high energy, a healthy appetite, and am enjoying my pregnancy right now. =) I'm hoping to find out their sexes next Thurs, Feb. 7, but I may have to wait til next time. I'm very anxious to find out their sexes. We've picked out a few names, but I'm sure at least a couple of the ideas will change when we know for sure...

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7

I had my 3rd dr appt today at 18 weeks 4 days. I've gained 5 more pounds for a total of 7 at this point. I saw the babies on a portable ultrasound, and they were so cute! One's head was pointed down and was sucking its thumb. The other was hangin out, moving just a lil bit. The heartbeats were about 150. It's relieving every time I see them, but I can't wait til the next appt to find out the sexes! I go back Feb 21 for an hour long ultrasound. I'm very anxious!! =)

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21

It's a boy and a girl!! I'm 20w 4d today. Both babies were very cooperative, and everything looked good. Growth is very close to symmetrical, with my lil boy at 20w 3d, and my lil girl at 20w 1d. He's lower, so if I were to have them vaginally, he would be older. I don't know how it will happen though b/c I'm def having a c section. Baby boy's h/b was 146, and the lil girl's was all over the place. It went 158 to 144 to 150 to 146 within one minute's time. I gained 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks for a total weight gain of 11 pounds so far. Now that I know where they are in there, it is easier for me to pay attn to their movements. Twice yesterday I felt tiny movements on the inside followed by larger movements felt on the outside. I feel them a couple times a day and only when I'm relaxing. Once again, I feel lucky. To be having a boy and a girl in my first pregnancy is as perfect as it could be. I'm enjoying feeling good right now and looking forward to whatever the future may hold...
