Hello! I'm Sarah. I'm 19 years old, a sophomore at UMD in Duluth, MN. I am in the Early Childhood Education Program. My fiance and I have been together since May. We are pregnant with my first child and his third. This was a surprise baby. The day I took the test and called my mom was Grandparent's Day haha. Even though it is unexpected, Jason and I couldn't be more excited! Plus, my best friend just had a daughter, and now she will have a playmate! We are debating whether to find out the sex or not. I don't want to, but Jason and pretty much everyone else want to know lol. My due date is May 12th, 2008, but we're hoping baby will wait at least a few days because Mommy has finals that week lol. But, like I said, we are so excited and can't wait to meet baby in the spring!

I felt baby really kick for the first time 3 days ago! It was the craziest feeling! I was at work, and all of a sudden, it just started kickin the crap outta me! lol Jason's in Kentucky for the Army until the 15th but I called him and told him. He can't wait to come home and feel baby kick for himself!

Well I went to the doc yesterday! All is going well. My mom came with me since Jason's still out of town, but she was happy cuz she got to hear the heartbeat. It was still right around 150 so no real clue as to the gender from that anyway. She couldn't get an exact reading tho, cuz baby was moving around so much lol. I said I told you it moves 24/7 now! She also said my tummy's measuring more at 20 weeks then 18, but it might just be the way the baby was positioned... hopefully lol I don't wanna go any earlier than May 12th! But at least everything is good so far! I have my ultrasound on monday so we'll see how that goes!

I finally got the ultrasound pictures scanned in and put on here! There `s one on my page and the others are in my photobook. The ultrasound was so fun! It was so cool to both see and feel baby moving around at the same time! I gave in and we tried to find out the sex, but baby was being a lil stubborn. The tech said she was 70% sure its a girl but we `re gonna definately go in again and try to see for sure. Everything else is all good. I finally broke down and bought one pair of maternity jeans lol. And i `m past the midpoint! lol woo! only 19 more weeks!

23 weeks! I can `t believe I `m almost 6 months along already! We went to the doc last week again, everything is fine and dandy. Baby `s heartbeat is still right around 150. I found out that the ultrasound people put my due date at May 5th tho! That `s a full week early! I think I `ve accepted the fact that she/he will probably come early and I will have to figure finals out lol.

I am starting to accept things. I am to the point now where I am really excited for her to get the hearing aids so we can start this journey! She will get them on the 28th of this month. The sooner the better. Our major concern is it can ultimately effect her speech. Baby's, especially at her age (6 months) are starting to understand words and sounds. There is a whole other world we are starting to live in. It's crazy how you don't realize (it's hard to explain) other ways of living (with disabilities) until something like this happens to some one you know. It is very unfortunate that most people don't think about disabilities until it happens to someone close to them. You know? I feel bad that I never really thought about the MANY different disabilities out there and how I can help... until this happened to Rae.

Age is nothing but a number! I still feel like I'm 19! Your dad is to funny!

Well.. The hearing exam didn't go so well.. They have determined that she has mild/moderate hearing loss. and will have to wear hearing aids for life... I am just in shock right now. I just can't believe it.. why Rae, ya know? I will do everything in my power to make sure she knows she is completely normal. I want her to be confident. Those are my major concerns right now. I picked out cute hearing aids that are clear with purple sparkles.. it's cute! Again I am still kinda out of it right now... I just love her with all my heart!

Ohhh you are toooo funny! Waking her up to eat! I know I used to get worried too. But then I decided she will let me know when she wants to eat., and she does! As far as for the 'routine' it just happened. However our evening are the sae every night.. she eats, plays, bath time, eat again and then she generaly goes to bed. I think if you keep the same routine they realize when it's time to go to bed. I'm glad to here Hailee's doing good! Yah Raegan didn't pass again, but the speacialist says her ears look fine from a visual exam... soo round 4 tomorrow... I hope she passes.. I KNOW SHE CAN HEAR!!! lol When do you go back to school or work? Are you enjoying your time off? I know your birthday is coming up.. on the 5th right??? If I don't talk to you HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Awww poor lil girl! Constipated and all... that's not fun... probably the switch to formula. That happened to Rae too. I can't believe she is already a month old too! Well 1 1/2 months now! How much does she weigh? Rae is already up to 17lbs and 27 inches. She's a hefty size girl! It sounds like Hailee is a good sleeper... you can't ask for more! Rae is a friggin champ, she sleeps from 7-9p till 5-7am.. generally 9-11 hours a night. I absolutly LOVE her for that! How are you holding up? Its kinda like sticker shock when you first start huh? Then you get into a routine. I am little worried about Rae.. when she was born she didn't pas the hearing exam and she failed again 2 weeks ago... They think she may have some sort of hearing impairment... because I know for a fact she hear... i know she can. I go in tomorrow to see a ears/nose/throat specialist for her. We'll see what they say! Well I sure do miss ya.... I really want to see some pics of hailee!! The one on here is too tiny lol.. Muah!

AHHH I am so happy for you!! She is BEAUTIFUL!! Isn't it a amazing having a baby! I was so friggin scared to give birth.. and it wasn't so bad.. given you get a FABULOUS epidural! Good choice! Aww nothing better than a dad and their lil peanut.. lol! I still get teary eyed when I see the pics of chris when she was born! I love the pic of you and jason with Hailee, it's so sweet! You look great! I was a friggin mess.. I also pushed for 2-21/2 hours and I had a perma frown from pushing so hard in all of the pictures.. I swear I was smiling... lol! I'll have to send you one.. I didn't send them to anyone... they are horrible!! Ahh you friggin had a tear?? Me too.. I was feeling it for 8 weeks! Don't feel guilty to give up breastfeeding... are you gonna pump and give from a bottle? I tried that but it is sooo time consuming and ughh I hated the pump.. I gave up when she was 2 months.. I was going crazy working full time.. You are sooo lucky to have the whole summer! How did finals go for you??? Let grandma be grandma! My mom is still watching Rae during the day... It's good for the both of them. Psst grandmas love to by all kinds of shit for the baby! It's great.. lol.. I wish we coulda been there. Add pics here or myspace or send them as you can.. believe me I understand the "time" issue thing! Miss ya and HAVE FUN!! :)

Hiyah!! Before you know it you will be holding your baby and she/he will be 5 weeks old.. That's how old Raegan is today! I can't believe it, time goes by sooo fast! I can't beleive you are already 28 weeks!! How are you feeling overall? Probably like an alien has taken over your entire body huh? I so miss being prego, I miss the anticipation of it all.. so I will live through you.. what am I going to do once you have your lil turd? lol Raegan is awesome she really is a very good baby! I forget how lucky I am sometimes.. she is very easy to figure out, she really only cries if she is super hungry or bored. She has already slept 7 hours a few nights.. I woke up like, did I accidently sleep through something?!.. I seriously doubt it.. lol. I am breastfeeding and it is getting much easier to deal with.. It's really hard when you are the only source of food for the baby.. It can be very tiring.. I might give up soon once I go back to work.. It will be nice to be able to share the feeding responsibility with Chris.. If you plan on breastfeeding and you have the time off work and school I say go for it. It really is best for the baby.. But if you don't plan on it don't feel guilty at all!! I really wish we could make it up there too .. I miss all yall.. I will be sending some more pics in a bit.. I need your email address or your mom's so I can add yall to my address book, then I can send them to you guys directly!! Do let me know what they say at your next ultrasound!!! Talk to you soon!

Aww you look great!!! If you feel huge now, talk to me in 16 weeks! LOL! Raegan is doing great! She is such a good lil girl. It's so hard to believe sometimes that she is really mine! I admit I have had my crying moments.. It's just so overwhelming sometimes. Chris is great he helps out when he sees me getting a little stressed. Are you going to breastfeed? I am, and it is a lot of work, but so worth it I think in the end (Cheaper too!). I think that is what can break me down.. she's a lil fatty she eats soooo friggin much!!! I can't believe you only have 16 more weeks... They go by so fast.. and the last 4 go soooo slooow! You'll see!!

Yah no baby yet! I am sure my mom will spread the word fast, they are so excited! Yah the scrapping of the membranes wasn't so bad.. All they do is sweep the insides in a circular motion with their finger. Some women think it's so painful but some don't I didn't think it hurt at all, just a little pressure and uncomfortableness lol that's all. So your baby is just kickin it havin' a good ol' time? Just you wait your almost there! Oh me and my mom were looking through pics from back in the day and I found one of me and you when you were a baby, it's crazy to look back and see that! I will have to put it on myspace or somethin... lol! I am hoping she comes this tuesday the 15th cause that was grandma pilchers b-day!!! We'll see!!!!
