Hi all ! This site is great , like myspace for preggers lol. Anyways I am working on my third baby here. I have a 14 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. My husband and I will have had a child (together believe it or not) in our teens , 20's and now 30's. It's round three and we are so looking forward to it.

Monday, 10 Dec

so I am still stumped for baby girl names that flow well with Skylar and Dylan......suggestions.....
also what do you guys think of Stella , Cheyann , or Ashlyn?

Friday , Jan. 4th

So I feel as if I'm in the full swing of pregnancy now. The heartburn is here , the swollen ankles , and all that weight gain. However my favorite part is here too.....feeling my little girl move around all over the place ! She seems to be shy though. She'll be rockin' and rollin' in there and as soon as I have my hubby or daughter try to feel...she stops ! Everytime ! She is so active and nobody but me seems to be experiencing it. Thats kind of frustrating. I have been feeling so overwhelmed lately because I won't be having my shower until Feb 10th and we have nothing for my little one. Not one thing. We haven't even started on the nursery yet. Luckily for me my daughter moved out of her old room and we redid a new more grown up room for her so the nursery is already painted pink and green. If I can find coordinating bedding she'll only need closet organizers put in , things on the wall , curtains , a changinf table , and crib as she will be using my daughters old furniture (dressar etc.) Still , I feel an urgency to get started. I'm going to register for the shower this weekend and am really looking forward to doing something "baby". Sometimes I just feel fat and not pregnant because the baby really hasn't been the focus here lately with so much other stuff going on. Guess thats just how it goes when your hubby has a new position/title at work , you have a teenager , and an overly social daughter as well as the college class I was taking and I do housecalls ( I'm a hairstylist) on the side. Anyways , I'm really starting to get excited for my new baby girl to arrive. I have dr app on the 10th and will be going every 2 weeks after that. I'm measuring right on target for my due date and have had 2 unltrasounds that both put me at March 14th. I'm going to be a crazy person and go with my daughter and her Girlscout troop to her 1st weekend camp in Malibu next weekend. It will be so tiring but a special memory for the 2 of us before baby. I've been batteling a cold that has left me even more tired than usual but that will pass. Unfortunately it's just a little more misery/discomfort to deal with. I'm not one of those people who loves being pregnant. I pretty much hate everything about it EXCEPT feeling her move and knowing that I am growing a beautiful child in there ....thats pretty amazing. Well , I felt the need to blog today so there it is. Happy Pregnancies to all..lol

Hubby's name picks :

Carly Rae

Cheyanne (maybe Elizabeth ? What goes w/ this one?)

Let me know what you guys think............

my prego brain just can't nail down a name. It was sooo much easier with the other 2.

So I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow and I can't believe how fast it's going by. Things have been moving along well lately. My husband bought me a glider without me even asking for it or seeing it first. It was so nice to see him take some interest on his own. We have stepped up "date night" knowing time is running out and he's been shopping online for the nursery furniture , which we finally ordered last week. I hope to get it this weekend. We went to Babies R Us together and he helped pick out a stroller and a mattress. I have been so happy about his interest level. Now that it's getting close he's really getting excited and int o it. My son who is 14 had a great experience wit the baby the other day as well. She was moving a lot so I had him touch my belly and she kicked. He thought it was crazy so I said do it again. She wasn't moving so he leaned in and sain "Baby" in a deep voice and she kicked his hand , so then he put both hands on my belly and said "baby, baby move.." and she jumped all around in there making my whole tummy bounce. He was so pleased with himself and said that the baby likes him ! I am so happy that my family is finally feeling her move ! It took forever. She would always go still before. Now when she hears their voices she moves all around. It's like she wants to play ! I was hugging my daughter this morning and she felt the baby kick on her tummy because we were pressed up close like that. She thought that was funny. This is the part of preganacy I enjoy most. When the belly is big and everyone can feel the baby moving ! I have been suffering way more aches and pains that my previous pregnancies which is a bummer but hey , at least I'm not throwing up like I did with those ! I get the numb hip , it hurts to roll over in bed , the round ligament pain , I had the pain under my right rib that prompted a dr visit and now the pain on my side/flank that prompted another dr visit , the heartburn , swollen hands, feet, ankles etc. (heck it's all swollen) and on top of that I fell pretty hard recently. Luckily all is well though and all in all I'm so much happier pregnant at this stage that I have been the whole rest of the time. I can't wait for the baby shower and to start decorating and putting away baby stuff. Now if only I weren't so tired.........................

Ashlyn

Carly

Shyann

Lily

These are the top contenders. Still welcoming input and comments on these names.......yes STILL undecided.

Well she is here...........

baby Ashlyn Rayne

born 3-14-08 8lbs 9oz 21 inches

She is a sweet baby. Not too fussy , very alert , smiling, loves being held........we are over the moon with her. Her big sister is a huge help and has so much love and patience with her , she has Dads heart and big brothers as well. Life was a pretty big adjustment the first 3 weeks but now we are pretty much settled in and enjoying every minute of it. Definately starting over for us but knowing she will be the last baby makes it a very special time. She loves being in her Bjorn carrier and we take walks every morning in it. She hates baths still though. Nights are for the most part pretty good , she eats and falls right back asleep. Its amazing to see my pregnant photos and now a pic of her and know thats who was in there all that time!

My husband and I are thinking about getting Kenzi a bigger carseat also. She is still pretty little only weighing about 17 pounds but I'm with you on the comfort. she just seems a little too uncomfortable in her infant seat.

In CA the law is that babies must be at least 22 pounds AND a year old before you put them forward facing. So I don't know where you live or if the laws are the same. And the longer they stay rear facing, the safer it is in case of accident. So try to hang in there as long as you can.

There's a huge difference. Malone eats the pureed food I make her, but she's not even close to finger foods or meat or dairy at all. We'll stick with fruits and beg until at least 8 months. She's happy with what she has, so we won't push her. But other babies on here eat ice cream and spaghetti, so we're all different.

UPDATE ON OUR DOG:Thanks so much to everyone that commented on Pulver our dog. We had a lot of possible buyers, and or takers. However with every text or phone call that I got, Brandans heart would break a little more. He was soooo incredibly sad, I mean he seemed like a different person! So Saturday we went to his moms house after going to the block of Orange to walk around and ponder what to do. He went out back to spend time with Pulver, and his dad fallowed. About 15 minutes later his dad walked in and said “Nan, your son doesn’t want to get rid of his dog.” She says… “I know, but I don’t want to be responsible if he falls and drowns in the pool.” He says… “I don’t want to get rid of him eather.” So after a little scuffle back and forth, Brandan got what he wanted! He gets to keep Pulver.

I’m so glad that he didn’t have to go through the pain of losing him. I know what it feels like I had to give up my American Bull dog. THE BEST DOG IN THE WORLD. And to this day it’s still hard for me. If I ever found her I would snatch her from her owners! Ha ha. (Turned out that the person I GAVE her to sold her for $500.
00 to some crack head! UGH sucks)

SO thanks again! I REALLY Appreciate it!

I read your carseat question. I have the Britax Regent. It is front facing only. It is a great seat and allows my boys to be in the seat until they are about 80lbs/8yrs old in a 5 point harness. I love the Britax brand seats. I have done a TON of research (and would be happy to answer any questions) and found that the britax are not only safe but very easy to install and use. As for moving out of the infant seat. I moved my son at 3 months old (into a convertable seat, the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite) b/c he hated the infant seat. He was a much happier baby. He use to cry constantly while in his infant seat, but once we changed he loved the car! The main thing ot remember when buying a seat is that you want a 5 pt harness for as long as possible. So when buying a seat that claims to go to 60lbs or more make sure it is with a 5pt harness and not with the car's seat belt. When my older son was ready to move out of his infant seat we bought the alpha eliete b/c he said it went ot 60lbs. We never thought to check but it only went to 40lbs in a 5 pt harness. Also if you are getting this seat for before your LO is 20lbs AND 1 year old you want to make sure that it will work both front facing and rear facing. Good Luck! Happy Shopping!

Hi -I noticed your question under car seats. We bought the Marathon for our son. He was a preemie and around 8 months he was ready to exit his Peg Perego car seat -he just ran out of room. The Marathon has been fantasitic and I would highly recommend it. He is now at the age and weight where he can face forward and only complains once in a while about getting into it.
My cousin has the Roundabout but, its too large for our car and the Marathon's weight limit is now the same. This car seat is worth the money and it does recline slightly so, the transition was no problem.
Hope this helps with your decision.

Malone eats three meals a day, plus about 6 bottles (24 oz). It varies though. Some days more, some days less.

Knock, Knock I knocked at heaven's door this morning. God asked me...'My child, what can I do for you?' And I said, 'Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message.' God smiled and answered...'Request granted'. If you believe, send this to seven people and the one who sent it to you. By doing this, you have succeeded in praying for eight people today. 'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.'

Malone's nose is runny all the time. We just wipe and wipe. She's not congested at all. We have a humidifier in her room, and I think that helps.
