Hi all ! This site is great , like myspace for preggers lol. Anyways I am working on my third baby here. I have a 14 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. My husband and I will have had a child (together believe it or not) in our teens , 20's and now 30's. It's round three and we are so looking forward to it.

Monday, 10 Dec

so I am still stumped for baby girl names that flow well with Skylar and Dylan......suggestions.....
also what do you guys think of Stella , Cheyann , or Ashlyn?

Friday , Jan. 4th

So I feel as if I'm in the full swing of pregnancy now. The heartburn is here , the swollen ankles , and all that weight gain. However my favorite part is here too.....feeling my little girl move around all over the place ! She seems to be shy though. She'll be rockin' and rollin' in there and as soon as I have my hubby or daughter try to feel...she stops ! Everytime ! She is so active and nobody but me seems to be experiencing it. Thats kind of frustrating. I have been feeling so overwhelmed lately because I won't be having my shower until Feb 10th and we have nothing for my little one. Not one thing. We haven't even started on the nursery yet. Luckily for me my daughter moved out of her old room and we redid a new more grown up room for her so the nursery is already painted pink and green. If I can find coordinating bedding she'll only need closet organizers put in , things on the wall , curtains , a changinf table , and crib as she will be using my daughters old furniture (dressar etc.) Still , I feel an urgency to get started. I'm going to register for the shower this weekend and am really looking forward to doing something "baby". Sometimes I just feel fat and not pregnant because the baby really hasn't been the focus here lately with so much other stuff going on. Guess thats just how it goes when your hubby has a new position/title at work , you have a teenager , and an overly social daughter as well as the college class I was taking and I do housecalls ( I'm a hairstylist) on the side. Anyways , I'm really starting to get excited for my new baby girl to arrive. I have dr app on the 10th and will be going every 2 weeks after that. I'm measuring right on target for my due date and have had 2 unltrasounds that both put me at March 14th. I'm going to be a crazy person and go with my daughter and her Girlscout troop to her 1st weekend camp in Malibu next weekend. It will be so tiring but a special memory for the 2 of us before baby. I've been batteling a cold that has left me even more tired than usual but that will pass. Unfortunately it's just a little more misery/discomfort to deal with. I'm not one of those people who loves being pregnant. I pretty much hate everything about it EXCEPT feeling her move and knowing that I am growing a beautiful child in there ....thats pretty amazing. Well , I felt the need to blog today so there it is. Happy Pregnancies to all..lol

Hubby's name picks :

Carly Rae

Cheyanne (maybe Elizabeth ? What goes w/ this one?)

Let me know what you guys think............

my prego brain just can't nail down a name. It was sooo much easier with the other 2.

So I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow and I can't believe how fast it's going by. Things have been moving along well lately. My husband bought me a glider without me even asking for it or seeing it first. It was so nice to see him take some interest on his own. We have stepped up "date night" knowing time is running out and he's been shopping online for the nursery furniture , which we finally ordered last week. I hope to get it this weekend. We went to Babies R Us together and he helped pick out a stroller and a mattress. I have been so happy about his interest level. Now that it's getting close he's really getting excited and int o it. My son who is 14 had a great experience wit the baby the other day as well. She was moving a lot so I had him touch my belly and she kicked. He thought it was crazy so I said do it again. She wasn't moving so he leaned in and sain "Baby" in a deep voice and she kicked his hand , so then he put both hands on my belly and said "baby, baby move.." and she jumped all around in there making my whole tummy bounce. He was so pleased with himself and said that the baby likes him ! I am so happy that my family is finally feeling her move ! It took forever. She would always go still before. Now when she hears their voices she moves all around. It's like she wants to play ! I was hugging my daughter this morning and she felt the baby kick on her tummy because we were pressed up close like that. She thought that was funny. This is the part of preganacy I enjoy most. When the belly is big and everyone can feel the baby moving ! I have been suffering way more aches and pains that my previous pregnancies which is a bummer but hey , at least I'm not throwing up like I did with those ! I get the numb hip , it hurts to roll over in bed , the round ligament pain , I had the pain under my right rib that prompted a dr visit and now the pain on my side/flank that prompted another dr visit , the heartburn , swollen hands, feet, ankles etc. (heck it's all swollen) and on top of that I fell pretty hard recently. Luckily all is well though and all in all I'm so much happier pregnant at this stage that I have been the whole rest of the time. I can't wait for the baby shower and to start decorating and putting away baby stuff. Now if only I weren't so tired.........................

Ashlyn

Carly

Shyann

Lily

These are the top contenders. Still welcoming input and comments on these names.......yes STILL undecided.

Well she is here...........

baby Ashlyn Rayne

born 3-14-08 8lbs 9oz 21 inches

She is a sweet baby. Not too fussy , very alert , smiling, loves being held........we are over the moon with her. Her big sister is a huge help and has so much love and patience with her , she has Dads heart and big brothers as well. Life was a pretty big adjustment the first 3 weeks but now we are pretty much settled in and enjoying every minute of it. Definately starting over for us but knowing she will be the last baby makes it a very special time. She loves being in her Bjorn carrier and we take walks every morning in it. She hates baths still though. Nights are for the most part pretty good , she eats and falls right back asleep. Its amazing to see my pregnant photos and now a pic of her and know thats who was in there all that time!

hey, reese loves sitting in her bumbo chair when the trays on it because she can play with her little toys better...she'll also watch tv for about 30 min on occasion which i sometimes desperatly need. can you imagine how hard it'll be to entertain them when they start moving?!! lol! Also, your not crazy to want another one or i am too...but we only have a 2bedroom condo right now and it's a walk up so it would be tuff! we're thinking maybe when reese is between 9mo & a year though (hopefully by the time the next babys born we'll be on our way to a new home, haha).

Metabolife was the greatest thing that ever happened to women!! That was the stuff I always took to lose weight. 5 pounds or 15 didn't matter, it came off. Your right, though, it was before they pulled Ephedra from the market. Thanks for the tip on that other stuff.

mizzsnazzy - Wednesday, 18 June
Hey, my son is 4 months old and eats between 4-6 oz, he sometimes eats only 4 times a day, recently now 5 times a day, and sometimes even gets like 22 oz...he just isn't a big eater. He was born 6 lbs and is now 15 lbs, so I guess he's getting enough. At least that's what the pediatrician told me. I think 6 oz is a good amount. Babies don't starve themselves, so you're fine.

mandapnda025 - Tuesday, 17 June
i just read your feeding question. My son is 4.5months and eats anywhere between 6 to 8oz every 3-4 hours however he will sleep 8 hours at night before wanting a bottle and majority of the time when he wakes up there is a 4 to 5 hour window before he wants his first bottle. So i just figure he will tell me when he is hungry. As long as she is still gaining weight i wouldn't worry. my son went from 13lbs 14oz to almost 17lbs in a matter of 2months.

frigomom - Tuesday, 17 June
Just read your feeding comment. My son is almost 5 mnths and eats the same amount as your baby, 6oz 4 times daily, I will give more if he wants more but if he is happy then i just leave it, So I do think you are feeding enough - just be willing to give more if she is still hungry!

laura14 - Tuesday, 17 June
hey i just read your comment on the bottlefeeding forum...my emma has eaten the same 5-6oz every three hours since she was two months old shes 6 months old now. and weighs what your baby weighs now lol! if babys happy and not hungry and gaining nicely aswell aswet daipers it shouldnt be a problem its maybe just the norm for your babe like it is for emma but as tehy say all babies are different if your worried though ask your doctor:)i think those times and amounts are fine. emma wll sometimes wait 4 hours for a bottle depending on sleep etc. she normally has 5 bottles a day and eats a total of between 24- 28oz she has solids now too though... hope this helps:))

srm31---I'd ask your doctor about how many oz. of formula or breastmilk per day is good for your baby's weight. In all honesty it does seem low because I've heard 2-2.5oz per lb. of baby's weight. I'd definately call and ask today. The nurse should be able to answer that question. I know it varies from one baby to another so I'd ask what the range is for how many oz. per lb of weight.

Hi! I read your post and had to comment because I am feeling so much of the same stuff you are. I too had to have a c-section and although I had plenty of milk, made the decision not to breast feed. I had a huge blood clot in my leg and had some major complications. However, I understand how you feel because if I had tried harder then I may have been able to breast feed too. I had to finally get to a point where I decided that taking care of myself was better for my son and if I breast fed, I would not be able to to take care of myself as well. PLEASE don't feel so guilty. You are doing the best that you can and that is what matters most.

momoffive - Tuesday, 10 June
Oh my goodness....your post sounds like you are really stressing out. I think the older we get the harder we try with parenting. Your page says you have 2 older children. Did you stress this much with them? Of course we as mommys want what is very best for our babies but our babies can really sence our stress. Bottle feeding your baby while relaxes and calm is a million times more important than breastfeeding while constatnly worrying about whether or not there is enough milk. A wonderful mother is a mother that feeds there child, it really doesn't matter where it comes from. Children have been getting supplimental feedings since the beggining of time. Of coures it was packaged different but there have always been enviromental contaminats. Before it was chemicals it was bacteria. I noticed someone posted that even breastfeeding moms take in chemicals in the foods that are eaten. For me, having a baby at 30 has been so much more enjoyable. I do worry about more becasuse I have better educated myself, but at teh same time I am much more relaxed. This is an amazing time in our lives to be mommies again try to relax and just enjoy it with time and experience under your belt....
Oh, and your pictures are amazing!

1blessedmomma - Monday, 9 June
srm31---Honey do you think every mom that breastfeeds their baby is watching every morsel they take into their mouths? Think of the pesticides and hormones they're eating and then possibly passing on to their baby. I'm not trying to upset any breastfeeding mom's out there. I'd be doing it myself if I could. My point is that we can't let scientists and the media terrify us into believing we are killing our babies. We can only do OUR very best for our little one's. The very fact that you are worrying at all means that you're doing a great job as a mommy!! ;-} Keep it up!

Jo-Mama - Monday, 9 June
You are giving her the best because she has a mom who cares so much for her! That is the most important thing. I started crying reading your message. You are a great mom - don't beat yourself up. You are doing your best and that is so much better than many other moms.

CRAZYEIGHTS - Sunday, 8 June
Thanks!! As far as weeks vs. months, it's months on the site but until babies reach around six months moms tend to talk in weeks too. Then you'll hear moms talk in months until about 2 years old. For months I go by the date. Nate was born March 5th, so, June 5th he turned 3 months. I have 30 pounds left too. It's bothering me a lot. I don't feel like myself.

havana*luna - Sunday, 8 June
hey hun just wanted to let u know that the dr. browns come wide neck also...u can check them out on handi-craft.com and yes i changed from playtex to dr browns and it was totally fine.....

jennyoaces - Sunday, 8 June
my goodness you have some beautiful pictures here!

jennyoaces - Sunday, 8 June
hey i saw your question about weeks/months...i think we're doing it by calendar months here. if you were to do it by weeks it would be really mismatched in a while...

mom2boy - Tuesday, 3 June
Or don't put her in her crib until she can put the pacifier back in her mouth herself.

mom2boy - Tuesday, 3 June
Your pictures are amazing. About the pacifier, I would start trying to get her to sleep without. Maybe just start with naps. I am no expert as Jamison would never take a pacifier and get angry whenever I tried but if he was hooked that is what I would try. Just naps first.

dannie - Friday, 30 May
Hey there! I am not sure how the napping situation is going, but my mother-in-law suggested a book to me and it's philosophy on sleep seems to be working with my son. He is falling asleep much easier and stays asleep for much longer periods of time. Go check out this website and if you decide, get the book! Hi! Wow...I love your pictures, they are beautiful!! Sorry it has taken me awhile to respond to your comment regarding delayed vaccinations. This is how we are doing Mia's vaccinations: 6 months- meningitis vaccine only. Two months later remaining 2 month vaccines, two months later the 4 month vaccines, and so forth. We are just delaying them until she is 6 months old so that her immune system has had more time to develop and strengthen. The literature I have looked at into the connection between SIDS and vaccines, was inconclusive, yet there are lots of reports of infants passing suddenly after receiving vaccines. Some studies say that anything that can cause a baby to have a fever and potentially overheat them can be problematic (and many babies develop fevers after their shots). Others discuss the fact that there are just too many vaccines too early and that some babies' bodies just can't handle it. It is just something that I feel nervous about and really can't explain why. If you google SIDs and Vaccines you can find many articles to read. Good luck!!
