Monday, 10 November They know what is causing it. When you are on blood thinners your blood doesn't clot. With a normal period your blood will clot, keeping you from losing too much blood. Since I don't have the blood clotting properties right now my period is out of control. Normally if a woman is losing too much blood they would give estrogen (birth control pills) to ease it up. I cannot take birth control pills on blood thinner, it can cause another blood clot and stroke. And they can't take me off of the blood thinner because the blood clot in my arm is not gone yet. If my blood is allowed to thicken again before the blood clot is gone, it can move to my brain or lung and kill me. It's a delicate balance to figure out what to do about this bleeding. The doctors hands are tied, and there is very little they can do. A D&C is even very risky because it's a surgery, and I can lose too much blood during it. I appreciate your prayers, it's overwhelming. judesmama -

Friday, 7 November It just takes them some time to get used to the nipples on bottles...can you go to daycare and nurse on lunch? I'm sure that she'll be fine, if she's hungry enough she'll eat from the bottle. I know it sounds mean like she's going to be starving but she'll get used to it. Good luck!!! judesmama -
Friday, 7 November Oh, I'm so glad for you! You will feel so much better leaving her with someone who you know loves her! Let me know how things go when you head back to work...and if you end up deciding to stay home with her after all. judesmama -
Friday, 7 November Hi! I'm sorry, it's been forever since I've been on...way too busy. Jude is awake much more now and the kids are homeschooled
I really don't know what questions you should ask a childcare provider. I've seen too many nanny shows where they were secretly taped abusing the child. No one is going to come right out and tell you they are an abuser, they will lie to get the job. Your best bet is a female relative (mom, sister, best friend), other than that I trust no one. Good luck, and let me know if you find someone! scorpgrl20 -
Thursday, 6 November We now got referred to the physical therapist. The physical therapist said that Chloe has a very mild case because she has good range of motion. She is able to turn her head in both directions, but on one side she needs to tilt her head a little more to be considered "normal". We are doing our exercises at home and have physical therapy once a week. Only thing is she isn't following toys on both sides. That nerve also controls sight and torticollis can effect sight if it isn't corrected. I hope she starts following things to the other side after we do all these exercises :( I really feel horrible that this little girl that is so innocent has to go through this. I wish there was something more that I could do. How is Tavia doing? How is her sight on the side that needs to be stretch out? Where are you guys from? hetibelle -
Thursday, 6 November Should children witness childbirth?
Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call.
The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl to hold
a torch high over her mummy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby.
Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked.
Heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born.
The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom.
Connor began to cry.
The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-yr old
what she thought about what she had just witnessed.
Kathleen quickly responded, 'He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place...
smack his arse again!'
If you don't laugh at this one there is no hope for you

Thursday, 6 November Knock, Knock I knocked at heaven's door this morning. God asked me...'My child, what can I do for you?' And I said, 'Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message.' God smiled and answered...'Request granted'. If you believe, send this to seven people and the one who sent it to you. By doing this, you have succeeded in praying for eight people today. 'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.' sweetpeaz -

Wednesday, 5 November that is such great news, you must be so relieved!!...
Most times it works great when family help with child care, you already know and trust that person, and so you can relax....
however make sure you both know exactly where you stand right from the start...it can be difficult to say that there is something you are not happy about when it's a relative, so you let things go that you wouldn't if it was a nanny because you don't want to rock the boat etc....
I'm sure your sil is lovely and that this will be a great solution.....and if she has girls already then she will totally know what she is doing!
so you have a free night now.....you and your hubby should take tavia out to celebrate!!!...lol
