After 10+ years of infertility we are blessed with the miracle of life! We decided to see a fertility specialist and discovered that I have a unicornuate uterus (1/2 uterus) with one tube, and POS. We're amazed that I was able to conceive after 2 miscarriages, and two failed IUI's. There is nothing impossible for GOD.
I had a sonogram yesterday, I `m having a girl!!!

I'm starting to feel the baby move more and more each day. It feels as if she's snuggling in one area for a while and then moves to the other. Call me crazy, but I think she has her "LAZY" days ;) since there are days that I just don't feel her move. She moves more while I'm driving (with music on) or when I'm singing, (I guess she can hear now) and when my hubby talks to the baby she moves closer to the voice, it's an amazing experience.

My belly is getting big and pretty obvious to others. The baby kicks more often now. I felt her kick from the outside yesterday for the first time.

We had our anatomy sonogram yesterday. Everything looked normal. Our little one showed her jewels with pride and now weighs 10 oz. I have posted two sono pics.
My cervial length is being measured regularly to make sure it doesn't shorten before time. Two weeks ago it was measuring 3.4cm, yesterday it measured an amazing 4.6cm. GOD is good, and HE sure does answer prayers.
Fri, Jan 25, 2008 ****5 months**** ( 20 weeks, 4 days)
Wow, baby is kicking hard now. Last night hubby spoke to the belly (as he does every night) and she had a party in there. We can now feel some of the kicks when touching the belly. She loves to kick at night when we're watching TV. It's kind of weird, but I think she kicks down on my groin area LOL.
Someone is having fun in there!!! I love to feel her move, It brings an aoutomatic smile to my face.

My husband and I went shopping for baby furniture yesterday. It was amazing. To my surprise I was able to find the perfect crib right away. We got the Natart Madison Crib. (It looks much better in person). I know it's a bit early, but it takes 12 to 16 weeks to get the furniture. I can't wait to go shopping for clothes.

After 2 days of minimal movement our little one kind of snapped out of it and started kicking and punching (that's what it felt like). As soon as I laid down she started her party. I felt movement as high as 2 inches above my belly button. It was the first time I ever felt her kick that high. My hubby felt her move also, he was amazed at how hard she kicked. My hubby put both hands on my tummy in order to catch as much movement as possible. She was all over the place.

I had a sonogram yesterday to measure my cervical length. My cervix measured 4.4cm :) We also had an abdominal sono and the baby is weighing 1lb. & 2oz!!! She also opened her legs and showed us once more that she is a GIRL (I posted the sonogram picture). My cervix doesn't need to be measured anymore, everything is looking normal.
GOD is good.

6 months pregnant!!!! I put my headphones against my tummy last night and played music for the baby to hear, she started kicking like crazy, she was super active. My hubby just looked at my tummy in shock, she was all over.
I had a dream with the baby last night, she was so beautiful and I loved her so much. She was born a few weeks early but she was as healthy and strong as a full term baby. I still remember her face, she was so cute. I guess I will find out if what I saw in that dream is real!
Tue, March 4th, 2008 (26 weeks 1 day)
I had my monthly ob appointment yesterday along with the glucose test. The baby is growing at a normal rate and everything seems pretty normal. My little one is kicking like crazy. I can feel her all the way up by my right rib. I am able to feel bone now, but I love every second of it. My DR gave me the ok to walk and to do very mild exercise, and this gave me such a releif, now I feel a bit more in control of my weight. I still can't beleive I'm soon going to hold my little miracle in just a few weeks.
We are going to have my 3D/4D sonogram on the 15th, we want this day to come now! Our next regular ultrasound will be when I'm about 34 weeks to determine the size of the baby. I'm shocked that I've made it this far with no complications, so I feel that it's very possible that I can make it to 34 weeks.
My hands are staring to swell a bit and they go numb easily when I sleep. But I guess it's a small price to pay.
I had a small family baby shower this weekend. It was an emotional surprise. I thought it was a bit early since I'm just 26 weeks, but I guess my hubby was afraid I would run out of time due to my high risk pregnancy.
Thursday, March 13, 2008 (27 weeks, 3 days pregnant)
My little one is kicking so hard now that you can see my belly change its shape.
I went for my second glucose test yesterday (since i failed my first one) and it was not a pleasant thing. Blood was drawn 4 times, I got light headed and my arms are so soar. I hope that I pass this test cause it's going to be hard to give up sweets.
On another note, my hubby gave my a surprise baby shower on 3/1/08. My family was there and it was very nice. I got a few gifts and saw people that I had not seen in years.
My 3D/4D sonogram is on Saturday, March 15, 2008. I can't wait to see my little baby's face.
Wow, 10 weeks and a few days till my due date!!! I failed my second glucose test, so I have Gestational Diabetes :( I can no longer have my sweets... But it's ok, I'm managing my meals quite well and my sugar levels are under control. Baby is very active. I feel as if my right rib cage is getting crushed by the growing placenta and baby, which at times can be very uncomfortable. I'm having a hard time sleeping through the night, just can't seem to find the perfect position. My pelvic bone gets very soar when I sit or lay for long periods of time. I'm also starting to wabble when I walk. My belly is getting so big now, and I've noticed that people are starting to stare at me. I'm not used to the attention, but I guess I have to get used to it.
We will have to share the nursery with our office, so we will start to arrange the office furniture for when the baby's funiture comes in. We already have the baby's cradle and we will probably put it together mid April just in case.
Today is my 14th year anniversary, and we're both very happy that on this anniversary we're longer wondering when will I get pregnant.
May 17, 2008.
My little miracle was born 5/12/08 @ 12:55PM. She weighed 5lb. 2oz. Janelle came into this word exactly 4 weeks early. She was breathing fine and gave mommy and Daddy a scare. I went for a fetal assessment test and at the sonogram we learned that the amniotic fluid was 3.7 (minimum would be 8) and since Janelle decided to flip at the last minute she had to be taken out via C-section. It was such a shock to hear that I was going to have a C-section by 12pm. My hubby and I cried our eyes out when we heard her cry. She's perfect :) Janelle was taken to the NICU because she was having feeding problems. I was released on Fri, but my little was stayed. I've never cried so much in my life. A piece of me was ripped out of me. I called the NICU a few minutes ago and Janelle is feeding like a champion, we might be able to bring her home very soon.
awww, she is so pretty, hows she doing.
awww she is absolutely beautiful!! congrats! i bet its weird not being pregnant anymore huh? im so jealous!
Congrats! What a cutie! Did she come home yet? |
