I'm really excited, and cant wait to finally be pregnant. i have this saying, since I ahve so many neices and nephews, "always the auntie, never the mom"... I want to be the mom now. Im so nervous about not getting pregnant, I feel like everyone around be gets pregnant so fast, but me. Let me know any advice, wish me luck, and good luck to all of you!

I CANT WAIT MY ULTRASOUND IS ON TUE, AND I REALLY EXCITED FOR MY HUSBAND TO SEE, I CANT WAIT FOR HIM TO SEE OUT LITTLE MIRACLE, I JSUT SCANNED MYSELF YESTERDAY AND SHE WAS DOING FINE. IM SO EXCITED, I ALSO PICKED OUT MY BEDDING FOR KOOLROOMZ.COM ITS THE PEBBLE PINK, CANT WAIT TO BUY EVERYTHING FOR HER ROOM

Starting to show now, I gained 13lb so far, yuk I hate gaining weight, because it doesnt come off easy for me and I gain everywhere, my legs, arms, Im pretty proportional when it comes to weight gain. The baby has been lazy lately,, must be going through a growth spurt... cant wait for her to be here.. saturday I will be 23 weeks :)

yesterday I went to labor in delivery for increase vaginal discharge. The doctor was worried for amnion leakage. So the Dr. did a pelvic exam, used stripes to test for fluid, and one under the microscope. It was just vaginal discharge, thank god. They had me on the monitor for the entire time. Tested my urine, and did an ultrasound to check for fluids. Me and the baby were healthy.. Thank god :)

My little girl is on Zantac too, I feel for you. How is she doing on the formula? I am breastfeeding right now but will have to switch over to formula at the end of the summer. Is the Zantac helping? What dose is she on? My daughter is only taking .3 ml three times a day and I don't think that is enough to really help.

If I were you I'd sell them on ebay. You can get a lot more for thm there. I just looked for you. Here's the link. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=enfamil+nutramigen&category0=

We just started the Prevacid last night. They said to give it at least 5 days to see the effects. He's had a really rough morning. Hoping things get better soon.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with your little one. I hope you work it out soon. Take care.

My son is on a milk based Target brand formula. We've asked if we should switch him but the doctors don't seem to think so yet. I don't know, if we switch, that would suck because my mom just bought us 5 cans and we can't really afford Similac. Where I'm from, its $30 a can. But the doctor said the Target stuff is essentially the same stuff but its half the price. I don't know...I'm thinking we should switch him. Is your daughter on a special formula?

I feel your pain. I don't think the Zantac is working for us either. Seemed to improve things for a while, but now he seems worse. I got my doc to prescribe Prevecid. (I'd read a lot of posts where people said it worked for them) We just gave his first dose tonight. I hope it goes well. If it seems to work better after a week, I think I will try rice cereal too to see if that helps. My son is only almost 3 months, so I didn't want to do rice cereal too soon. I hope your girl feels better soon. Its so sad that our babies feel this way when they should be laughing and learning all they can about the world. Please let me know how your appointment with the GI doc goes.

with Rosie it lasted about 7-8 months but...every baby is different and it was fine once i figured out how to help her..then its a breeze, like they never really had it.. My new baby Grace is having problems now, seems like shes in pain after she eats recently and cries ALL nite long...going bonkers!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!

how are things with the baby? did the meds start working yet?

sarahjay - Tuesday, 6 May
Yeah. Its really frustrating as a parent to not be able to help, to stand by and watch it unfold. but even though they reccommended stronger medicine for my girl, I chose not to put he ron it and shes doing a bit better, not throwing up as much....So Im hoping shes finally starting to outgorw it, although it seems she goes throgh periods of better and worse. Sometimes I think shes grown out of it and then the next week its as bad as ever..... But As long as your lil one is gaining weight I would not try to worry and maybe invest in a steam cleaner for the rugs, like i did. Oh, and also the spraynwash gel, in the tiny blue bottle is the absolute best for set in stains, if you dont get to laundry often, adia seems to throw up on everything i wear....

jennyoaces - Monday, 5 May
ya I guess we just have to put up with it until they've outgrown it - that's pretty much what her ped said to me...."it just means extra work for you" were his exact words. actually as i was typing that she just had a huge spit up LOL. gotta go!

cko1522 - Monday, 5 May
I'm sorry it is so hard for you and your little girl. I HATE THIS! I feel so bad for my boy and all little babies that suffer with reflux. I was reading some of the posts on your page and everyone seems to think Prevecid worked well. I think I might try to get my boy to the doc tomorrow to see if I can get a prescription. My son has been on Zantac for only a week, but what the hell, I am tired of waiting around to see if the Zantac will work. Doesn't seem to work for anyone on this site so far. Anyway, take care, our babies will get through this.

jennyoaces - Sunday, 4 May
Hey Suzi, yes she does fuss and cry alot with the reflux. And she won't lay flat on her back to sleep, she sleeps best on an incline - like in her carseat or rocker chair. Her ped didn't want to treat it with anything since she's growing and otherwise very healthy...and his advice to me was pretty much the same as what you got. That she'll grow out of it and it'll eventually get better.

sarahjay - Sunday, 4 May
gerd is the same as reflux. I think that if the zantac seems to help, even if only a little bit, then its probably the best solution, but if it doesnt help at all i would push fo rmore

SARAHBABY3 - Thursday, 1 May
Hi- I can't believe your ped is going to make her see a GI for Prevacid or another reflux drug- that is insane, reflux is so common in infants. Also, I have never heard of a ped NOT recommending rice in the bottle for a reflux baby- and seriously, I just read the other posts, and your baby won't die- LOL. They even make 2 formulas with rice starch if you feel too guilty adding cereal- Enfamil AR and Similac Sensitive RS- check out the websites for more info if you are interested, they are just for spitty, miserable reflux babies. Good luck, I hope she feels better soon :)

Hollygirl - Thursday, 1 May
Hey girl. Aw thanks. Yeah he does have big kissy lips like his dad lol. We're doing ok. Slade has been chucking up a bit after meals though and he has baby acne atm too. Last night was rough we got about three hours of sleep so yeah we have good and bad days lol. Keep me posted on you. :-) Have fun.

Hollygirl - Wednesday, 30 April
I realise it must be tempting to add cereal to her food but I've read cases of parents accidently killing their newborns from doing this. They aren't able to handle the salt content in particular. I know a lot of babies are fine too but you're doing the right thing in listening to your doctor. In the meantime I pray your little angel starts feeling better soon. I don't think it hangs around too long. Try to rest when you can. best of luck! :-)

karenc - Wednesday, 30 April
I saw your post about the reflux - your poor baby! idk if you've looked into the tucker sling, but some of the moms on this site use it -- you may want to look into it and talk to other moms that have used it. http://www.tuckersling.com/

dawnp - Wednesday, 30 April
how you making out today??

sarahjay - Tuesday, 29 April
I did, just make it a super small amount, but enough to make the liquid a little thicker, maybe 1 tablespoon or two. Just remeber that the rice will clog the nipple hole so periodically shake it or squeeze the nipple together to get the little rice flakes out.
