My husband and I trying to concieve, we've been trying a couple months now. Well see how it goes. I'm really excited, and cant wait to finally be pregnant. i have this saying, since I ahve so many neices and nephews, "always the auntie, never the mom"... I want to be the mom now. Im so nervous about not getting pregnant, I feel like everyone around be gets pregnant so fast, but me. Let me know any advice, wish me luck, and good luck to all of you!

Hey everyone my docotor called me he said my second set of labs came back, and that they look great, I havent spotted for 2 days so Im feeling better again., My boobs hurt, and Im really sleepy, and a little nauseas. I have my first OB appointment on Thur the 23rd, wish me luck, I think he'll be doing an Ultrasound again and some labs and a pelvic, and pap.

TODAY IS THANKSGIVING, ITS AMAZING BEING PREGNANT FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I FEEL THE BABY KICK ALOT NOW, AND ITS SO AMAZING SHE MOSTLY KICKS AT NIGHT,A ND AFTER I TAKE A BATH OR SHOWER. I CANT WAIT MY ULTRASOUND IS ON TUE, AND I REALLY EXCITED FOR MY HUSBAND TO SEE, I CANT WAIT FOR HIM TO SEE OUT LITTLE MIRACLE, I JSUT SCANNED MYSELF YESTERDAY AND SHE WAS DOING FINE. IM SO EXCITED, I ALSO PICKED OUT MY BEDDING FOR KOOLROOMZ.COM ITS THE PEBBLE PINK, CANT WAIT TO BUY EVERYTHING FOR HER ROOM

12/12 (wed)

Starting to show now, I gained 13lb so far, yuk I hate gaining weight, because it doesnt come off easy for me and I gain everywhere, my legs, arms, Im pretty proportional when it comes to weight gain. The baby has been lazy lately,, must be going through a growth spurt... cant wait for her to be here.. saturday I will be 23 weeks :)

yesterday I went to labor in delivery for increase vaginal discharge. The doctor was worried for amnion leakage. So the Dr. did a pelvic exam, used stripes to test for fluid, and one under the microscope. It was just vaginal discharge, thank god. They had me on the monitor for the entire time. Tested my urine, and did an ultrasound to check for fluids. Me and the baby were healthy.. Thank god :)

Are you getting excited??? That is only 2 or 3 weeks away! I am thinking that I will go at 37 weeks, as soon as they take me off the terbutaline, but I might go to 40 weeks...LOL Just because I have been on bed rest since 20 weeks!
Have an awesome weekend!!

mavy143 - Friday, 7 Mar

How are you feeling?

momoffive - Thursday, 6 Mar
I had my oldest child at 37 weeks and she was almost 8lbs and wonderful, strong and healthy. Your body sounds like it is done being pregnant. I think that sometimes these things come up to let us know baby needs to come out. Many people 'cook' there babies at a faster rate. I know of a couple of different people who have delivered healthy 5 lb babies at 35 and 36 weeks and others that were induced at term only to find out baby still has sucking issues and jaundice. Our bodies do let us know in one way or another that they need to be done. I am sure that your little one is going to be just fine at 37 weeks and once they are out will have a healthy mommy. Good luck and I will keep you in my prayers over the next few weeks. I'm sure you will update us all on baby's arrival :-)

Susi, obviously you are incredibly stressed about your new found situation (only natural) and I bet the preggo hormones aren't helping you calm down either.
I think the thing to try and remember is that your doctor has more knowledge of your condition than you do and would not risk your babies life or yours (even though it's hard to trust at this point). I'm sure now that they've diagnosed you, they are going to keep a very close watch on you.
I don't know if you believe in God or not, I do. I always try and remember that He has known about this baby before you were even born and no matter what happens it is part of His plan. He'll give you the strength to deal with this if you ask. When it's all over, you will be a source of strength for someone else going through a similar situation.
Don't know if that helps you at all. Take what you like and leave the rest!

FeliciaC - Wednesday, 5 Mar
Have they said how big they think she is? or is that what they are doing the u/s for tomorrow?

africhardson - Wednesday, 5 Mar
Hi Suzy~ yes, I took the prescription everyday, it made the itchiness a little bit better. How bad is your itching? I remember having my 'itching rituals' every night, even my husband would brush my hair because my scalp was so itchy. I'd wake up with bleeding arms from scratching them too much in my sleep. Is that how bad you have it too? Cold baths/showers really helped me out. I remember being in tears over the itchiness. They were going to induce me at 2 weeks before my due date. They actually made me get an amnio! My body went into labor on its own though, the night before I was to be induced. After having the baby, the itching went away immediately. It may sound funny but I actually got MORE sleep having a newborn than when I was pregnant with the cholestasis! My daughter is now 18 months and totally fine. ~Allie

Hello! I just saw your post on the Skin Forum... Itoo have had some inssane itching, went to the Dr yesterday and she did blood work to test my liver. I have a question for you....did your itching include a rash...I notice on my arms and legs and belly.
She also prescribed me Zyrtec-D for the itching in the meantime and told me to use hydrocortisone cream to relieve itching.
Has teh Dr prescribed you anything to help relax teh itching?
wishing you all the best

FeliciaC - Wednesday, 5 Mar
i'm sorry to hear that! I guess I really should mention this to my Dr. too so they can rule that out for me. Atleast you'll be considered full term! Are they going to do an amnio to check for lung maturity? That's what i fear the most is an amnio!

ladobruk - Wednesday, 5 Mar
I just looked up the cholestasis of pregnancy. Thank God you looked into your symptoms and they caught it! You could have easily attributed it to dry skin, pregnancy hormones whatever, itchy skin is such an obscure symptom of something so serious. Mommy instincts kicking in already!
Wow, you are going to be a Mommy in 2.5 weeks! Take care and good luck!
P.S. how was your exam; did you get the results yet?

R@ch@e! - Wednesday, 5 Mar
awww girl, it'll all be ok...i'm a high risk mommy, and have found that doc's these days are so wonderfully overcautious...but for good reason...i've had sooo much negative told to me, and above it all, my little man is 'passing with flying colors'...:)...i'm sure all will be ok with u and ur little one..take care!

africhardson - Wednesday, 5 Mar
Hi suzy, I just saw that you were diagnosed with the lovely Cholestasis. I'm so sorry you are experiencing it and hope your itching isn't too horrible! I got it with my last pregnancy and am crossing my fingers that I don't get it again. Please feel free to message me if you want to talk about it. I'm sure there is more info on the internet now, but when I had it, I was scrounging around for anything and there were very few resources. Good luck!
