My name is Sally and I'm pregnant with my first child. My due date is Oct 18 but i will be having a C-section at the end of September or early in October. In September 2006 I had an abdominal myomectomy to remove a large (the size of a baby's head) fibroid tumor from my uterus. Because of that surgery my uterus is badly scarred and it would be dangerous to go into labor.

I took a pregnancy test the day before i missed my period. . . I just had a feeling and I was right! So far I've been feeling exhausted and nauseous, throwing up just about every morning. I'm hoping the sickness will pass in a few weeks (or now would be good too)! I'm looking forward to week 19 when my doc says we can see the sex. I feel sure that its a girl, I don't know why, just a gut instinct I guess. I hope I'm wrong but as long as s/he's healthy I really don't care.

That's how we are going to be this weekend, I went out today to get some ice cream and came back with bags of clothes for her. It's like I am obsessed with buying stuff for her, but I guess that is a good thing too:) Our new place wasn't ready when we got here, so everything is spread out everywhere, so it is good that we didn't have any of her stuff b/c I have no idea where it would be. We are going to name her Gianna, we haven't come up with a middle name yet, we are working on it. I was thinking of Gianna Peyton, or Gianna Renee, but one minute I like it and the next I don't like it. We will see what I can come up with before she gets here.

The CPR class here were full so I will be taking it after she is born. We are going this weekend to get the rest of her stuff. Procrastination has been the key word during this pregnancy, I think it is b/c we moved when I was almost 6 mons and just adjusting to everything and figuring everything out. My in-laws said they were getting the crib so that will come whenever they decide they want to get it, but I might buy one this weekend b/c there is a sale at babies r us, and I want to have her room set up. Have you decided on a name yet?

I know the feeling, I am scared but I think once she gets here I will be okay. That's good that your parents are coming to help you. I;m sure once you get into a routine things will fal into place and you will be fine:) I haven't taken any classes yet, I take the breastfeeding class on the 15th and we missed the last session of lamaze classes so we can't take them, but I think I have read enough to kinda know what to expect. We watched a few videos about child birth and etc, so I think it will be okay. Have you taken any classes?

That's good that they were able to put you on medicine. I hope things continue to get better for you, I will keep you in my prayers. I have been fine just getting ready for her to arrive in Oct. It's getting to be a lil overwhelming but I think we will be fine, I am just a lil nervous:)
