My Birth Story

I went into the hospital to be induced Monday, Nov 12 at 5 am, due to slightly high b/p. Got started on Pitocin at 6am, i didnt really feel any contractions the the doctor came in and broke my water around 8: 50 and thats when the contractions really started to happen one right after the other, i got my epidural, i could only take 30 min of those contractions. At noon the nurse checked me and i was 5 cm, 1 hour later i was 9 cm and getting ready to push! I got to have the mirror at the foot of my bed to see what was happening and before i even started pushing i could see her head with a full head of hair. I only pushed for about 30 min and Jordan Danyelle was born at 1:59 pm weighing 7lbs 5.9 ozs 18 3/4 inches long.

The day after Jordan was born i woke up and noticed that the the left side of my face was pretty much paralyzed, i called in the doc and he said he believes that i have Belles Palsy, he said it had nothing to do with the pregnancy or drugs administered, it just happened, but i would have to see my primary care doctor to get a diagnosis and treatment, well my doc diagnosed me and started me on steriods and antivirals, and told me to be prepared it could take months before i regain function if i did, he said some people do not regain function, and some people only recover partially, so it has been 3 weeks since Jordan was born, i have regained some movment but not completly, so im patiently playing a waiting game to see what plays out

Wow! i cant believe Jordan is already 8 days old, and i gave birth to her a week ago! She has changed and grown so much in those few days, i just sit and start at her sleeping because i cant believe i created something that beautiful. She is a very good sleeper too, she lets me get about 4 1/2 hours straight at night i put her down usually at 11 and she'll wake up once around 4:30 and then again when her daddy goes to work at 7 and during the day she eats about every three hours, she's mommy's very special angel!

Well last night was not a good night poor Jordan has gas so i had to sit up with her untill 2am then she went to sleep, i felt so bad for my little girl but she is better today, Matt's little sister wanted to feed her mashed potatoes yesterday, then got mad when i told her hell no! She is only 11 days old! I swear that girl has no clue had to watch her all night just in case she tried somthing stupid.

Jordan had her 2nd dr. appt today, she now weighs 8lbs 9 ozs and is 20 in long! She is growing so fast i cant believe it. She had been crampy the past few days she wouldn't pass gas or burp enough so i had to change her formula to a soy based formula, so far so good. Im so proud of my baby , she's starting to get her a little personality already!

Wow, i cant believe how big she has already gotton, i was just looking at her relizing that i can no longer put her in her bassinet, she has outgrown it! She's not even one month old yet. I already find myself say things like 'i remember when you were that little' . Jordan is already eating some cereal in her bottle, about 1 tsp for 3 oz and she gets a cereal bottle every other feeding, regular formula was just not satifying her, thats probably why she has grown so much!

Well Jordan is almost 2 months old and is a chunky monkey! She eats alot, she now gets a 5oz bottle with cereal in it and eats every 3 to 3.5 hours, but she sleeps all night now which is fantastic. She goes to bed at nine and wakes up at five to eat and naps throughout the day, She goes to get her shots on the 10th and im dreading that, i hate to see my girl in pain , i think im gonna ask for a sucker and a sticker at the end of it lol!

Well it's been a while since i updated, Jordan got her shots on the 11, and cried her first real tears, it broke my heart! She weight 13lbs 2 ozs at that appt, she is at least 15 pounds now and started to teeth, i tried to use the baby orajel on her but she hates it she cried and cried, so i tried it, and i dont blame her that stuff stung my mouth! So right now she gets tylonel but that only helps so much, and she cant really grip onto things to chew them she ends up chewing on her hand or my thumb

Well it has been a sad night last night, My little sister who just found out that she was pregnant miscarried her baby. She went to the hospital last night because she was spotting and then it started to get heavier, well the doc said that she was getting her period and the reason she was late was bc she was pregnant but the baby never implanted, i feel so horrible for her, i heard her crying this morning, i just wish there was somthing i could do for her, it makes me realize how fragile a new life is and maked me love my daughter even more ( if that is possible). My mom has been through the same thing but words can only help so much.I feel terrible

Jordan went for her first real pictures today, she did very well untill she got hungry then we had to take a break to eat and she was all smiles again! Cant wait untill they are done. She had a doctors appt on the 11 and more shots : ( she didnt like it very well but i gave her a little bit of juice and she went straight to sleep. She weighed 17 lbs 15 ozs 25 in long, she is getting so big!

Pregnant again! Jordan is 6 months old and im preggers! scary and exciting !

MY NAME IS SAMANTHA I AM 18 WILL BE 19 IN JULY, MY FIANCE' AND I ARE EXPECTING A BABY GIRL IN NOVEMBER, WE ARE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THAT. MY PARENTS ARE VERY SUPPORTIVE AND EXCITED SINCE THIS IS THE FIRST GRANDCHILD! I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL IN '06 AND WENT TO COLLEGE TO BE A NURSE BUT LEFT THAT SCHOOL AFTER LOTS OF COMPLICATIONS. I PLAN ON GOING BACK AFTER THE BABY IS BORN.

MY FIANCE' , MATTHEW CANT WAIT TO HAVE HIS LITTLE GIRL HERE, HE ACTUALLY SEEMS MORE PREGNANT THAN ME HE HAS GAINED THE WAIT AND A WEIRD APPETITE! HE WORKS VERY HARD FOR ME AND THE BABY.

BELEIVE IT OR NOT I DONT THINK IT REALLY HIT ME THAT I WAS PREGNANT UNTILL I HAD MY FIRST DR'S APPT. HE ORDERED A VAGINAL ULTRASOUND AND I GOT TO SEE HER FOR THE FIRST TIME MY MOM WAS WITH ME AND WE WERE CRYING AND LAUGHING. WHEN I TOLD HER I WAS PREGNANT I WAS SO SCARED I LEFT MY HOUSE TO TELL HER AND CALLED HER AND SAID I WAS COMING AND I HAD SOMETHING TO TELL HER WHEN I GOT THERE, WHEN I GOT THERE SHE ASKED WHAT IT WAS AND I DIDNT WANT TO TELL HER SHE LOOKED AT ME AND LAUGHED AND SAID "WHAT, ARE YOU PREGNANT OR SOMETHING?" I BURST INTO TEARS AND HER INTO LAUGHTER (TOTALLY UNEXPECTED) SHE ASKED IF I HAD TAKEN ANY TEST AND I PULLED OUT 4 POSITIVE TEST AND SHE LAUGHED HARDER, TOLD MY DAD AND TOLD ME THAT EVEN THOUGH I WAS YOUNG WE WERE GOING TO MAKE THIS A HAPPY EXPERIECE AND THEY ACCEPTED IT RIGHT AWAY....

Well today was exciting! I was my fiance's birthday and i got to give him the best present, he got to finally feel the baby kick! i got to feel her kick through the skin about 3 days ago and i've been trying to catch it so he can feel and he finally did, he was very excited.

In other news i have not been able to sleep at night...i don't know what it is i dont sleep all day, but i guess its a good thing bc she is most active at night and that was when i first felt her move.

Im getting a little worried because at night i can still feel her move but not as much as she used too. It's probably not a big deal because i can still feel her kicking but i wish i could feel her as much as before. I have a dr. appt on the 12th so i will bring that up with him. In other news i can no longer eat Ci Ci's pizza the last two times we went i got so painfully sick...i guess she doesnt like pizza! Oh well, i seem to have an appetite now for cheese, not just any cheese but sharp chedder cheese, weird bc i didnt really like it before.

July 12,2007

Well i had my doctors appt. today nothing special, just routine check up saying that everything was normal, i finally gained my weight back, 9 pounds, in total i lost 10 pounds before i started to gain it back. Everything is well doc says tha baby is growing fine i have to do a glucose test on aug. 6 so hopefully that will go smoothly as well , other than that she's been kicking regularly and is healthy, i pray that it stay's that way :)

I dont feel much movement today kinda sux i know there are lots of reasons why i cant feel her i just miss the feeling. nothing really new , i seem to find myself even more drowsy, there are some days i could never get out of the bed!

I called my mom into my room last night to ask her about the baby moving she basically told me the things that i already knew but it makes me feel better since it came form her.

Well lots of movement today very excited about that plus tommorow is my birthday yay!! Now all i hav to do is find a cure for my poor nipples, they are dry and hurt and itch!

Well today i did my glucose screening, i'll know in 2 weeks what the results were hopefully its all normal...The doc also is starting to see me every 2 weeks rather than four since im getting into my 3rd trimester, other than that everything has been going great heart beat was 156bpm

Well i had another dr's appt today everything is normal, my blood glucose came back normal and her heart rate was 147, pretty boring dr's appt, but im not complaining boring means everything is going smoothly, She is actually kicking a lot more i started to be able to tell when she is sleeping or awake, it's very cool! well untill next time!

Well Had a doc appt yesterday, again all he did was measure and listen and said "see ya in 2 weeks!" so everything is going great, matt finally got his vacation time from his job yesterday and is taking off one of those days to come with me to my next doc appt and then to the hospital to fill out all my paper work before i finally pop this baby out he'll be saving the rest for when the baby's born, i'll be 30 weeks tomorrow then hopefully from what i hear that time goes by quick, i hope so bc i feel like i've been pregnant forever! Sitting around the house all day is driving me nuts i've raided my brothers room for video games, and decided i was going to beat final fantasy 12 before the baby's born! I love those games but just never finished that one so that will give me something to do untill my baby arrives

I have just had a revalation, i realize now how bad my mood swings were when i got them, i didnt believe anybody when they said i was overreacting and it was just the pregnancy talking. One night Matt was going to the bathroom to take a shower and i was kinda in a blah mood and he shut the door "too hard" and i flipped on him, i yelled at him and told him to chill out (funny i was the one who needed to do that) and he didnt understand why i was so upset so i started crying because he didnt understand, i eventually got over it but i just thought it was funny because it is only now that i realize that i really do overreact, but im excused for now ;)

Had my doc appt today, again everything is normal her heartrate was 140 :) i went to try to pre-register at the hospital and im not pregnant enough yet lol! im supposed to go like 45 days before my due date, but it was a good little practice run for matt to find the hospital and the entrance where he has to bring me, the doc says about 35-36 weeks i'll get another u/s to check the position and size of the baby! yay! so i guess when i get my u/s i will go back to the hospital!

Went to the doc yesterday everything the same, normal, they had to do more blood work the woman said it would be the last time untill i go into to labor, i got an u/s scheduled for the 18th to check the weight and position of the baby and then it's off the to hospital to register :) i got a car seat from a cousin of mine and a stroller and bouncer, come to think of it i haven't had to buy anything for her everyone has given it to me, my shower im mostly expecting shampoos and diapers, well untill next time!

Got a call today to reschedule my u/s for monday, the u/s tech had a death in her family and had to reschedule all her appts so i have to wait untill monday to get one. I just cant wait i wanna see my little girl again!

UGH!! Im gonna be pregnant forever, still 1cm dilated, i know i've still got 2 weeks left, but i feel like im never going to have her! Im going nuts! i guess once you get down to the wire with only a few days left you get a little stir crazy! got another check up next week maybe i'll be a little more progressed by then.

Well had a regular check up today, the doc said my b/p was kinda high and i had no protien in my urine and he sent me over to the hospital to be monitored and decided 3 hours later i was okay to go home but i will be induced monday at 5 am due to my b/p. Cant Wait!!!
