Saturday, 12 July Funny, I too have had a hot dog obsession this pregnancy-Oscar Meyer Cheese dogs to be exact, I had one plain as a snack earlier and felt so ashamed that I was just eating a plain hot dog on the couch at 4 in the afternoon LOL. tiredmommy -
Saturday, 5 July I saw your post on 35 weeks about getting close to feeling "prepared" for your new arrival. Not long ago, you said you understood how I felt about feeling so behind in getting things ready. Well, my husband finished our bathroom and has painted our daughter's new room. He now has to paint her trim, and paint the nursery - which we just bought the paint for. So things are beginning to come along for us too! However, today I had to take him to the ER for kidney stones. He still hasn't passed the one that is working it's way out. I feel so bad for him! He was in extreme pain earlier!!! I'd rather be in labor 10 more times than to see him go through all this again! So once he feels better, he can do the painting - but I'm not going to rush him! Everything will get done soon enough! Good luck and I'm happy to hear that things are working out at your house too. jessnkirk -

Tuesday, 1 July If you go to a health food store you should be able to get something called "acidopholis" this is the active good bacteria that is in yogurt..the same stuff they are talking about in Activia Yogurt. The stuff at the health food store though is a much much much higher concentrate. I would get the liquid form rather than the capsules. It really does work to rebalance the flora in your stomach. Its also really good at preventing yeast infections. I use it whenever things in my stomach aren't quite right and it really makes a difference. Be warned though, the first bit you take may cause you to have diarrhea as things rebalance themselves. tetera -

Monday, 30 June hey sandra, do you have any friends or family that can help with painting while your husband is gone? you can throw a painting party. tiredmommy -
Friday, 27 June Don't you hate feeling behind? It drives me nuts! This will be a long story...but here it goes. We are moving my 3 year old daughter into a different bedroom to give the nursery (our smallest bedroom) to the baby. She's excited b/c her new room is bigger. This room has an attached bathroom b/c it used to be considered the master bedroom of the house. However, the house was added on to long before we moved in, and now it has a separate bathroom in the hallway. We remodeled the master bathroom, and our hallway bathroom has been un-useable for several years now. However, since we are moving her into that room, we had to remodel our main bathroom in the hallway - so that we are not always coming in and out of her room to use the restroom. I bugged my husband from the start of my pregnancy to get working on this bathroom, but he kept putting it off. ALSO, the bedroom she is getting also has a closet which we use for our things. Our room doesn't have a closet. So once he finishes the bathroom, he has to build us a closet in our room, so she'll have one of her own in her room. He is still working on the bathroom, but it should be finished this weekend!!! Then he'll paint our daughter's new room and we'll move her things into there. Next, we have to paint the nursery and organize it. Finally then, he'll be able to build our closet. (In the meantime, we'll keep our things in her closet and just make-do for a short while.) There's SO much to do. I have 3-5 weeks left, and am so worried about not being prepared. I feel so helpless that I can't do these things on my own. My husband is wonderful, but SLOW! I would feel so much better if he just would have started sooner. I'm just looking forward to the future when our new little guy will be here and all of this work will be done! I hope you are able to get your work done too. It's a good feeling to wrap things up and just focus on the new baby! Good luck and thanks for the kind words! noodle -
Friday, 27 June I hear ya girl...two of mine were 8#10 plus and had a harder time getting out. I think I'm going for epidural this time as I will relax better. Remember those u/s have 10% margin of error. Mine was breech about 33 weeks and I read on here to get on all fours, put face on pillow (on knees) so rear end up and rock forward and backward, really weird but I did it, just once and it felt like that evening that he flipped. When I went back a week later, he was in the right position. who knows? mumofsix -

It's such a relief to sign on and read about ppl having the exact thing going on and even better that some of it is stuff we won't talk about to every day people. thanks for posting. shilah -
