Hi....

as you can see my partner and I have 3 beautiful children Jayc (my step-son) who is 13 yrs old, Lilli our daughter who is 6 years old and our latest addition, Jackson who will be 6 months old on new years day.

Jackson is growing up too quickly...he now sits like a pro and has started to crawl (still pretty unco-ordinated but he is crawling none the less!)...where has my little baby gone.................

I have the same jumperoo.....I didn't bring it w/ me to work today because it wears Ava out so much that I wanted to give her a little break :) I did have a good day off....got alot of stuff done....no resting for me! lol It was nice though :) Yes, my mom loves having Ava every Wednesday...she looks forward to it! Wow, you parents are very helpful too.....that is going to be so nice for you to have a break this weekend! Enjoy :) No, Ava hasn't settled just yet....she woke up twice last night screaming.....I knew she wasn't hungry...I just had to comfort her and give her the pacifier and then I had to rub her gums once and then she fell right back to sleep. I think she might be getting longer....she looks really chunky right now so maybe she's getting ready to stretch a little? She's still not bad, it's just difficult some nights to get out of bed and run across the house. How is Jackson doing? He's as cute as can be! Did you see my updated photos of Ava? I downloaded them a couple days ago. I woke up this morning and it was 70 outside....YES, cooler weather coming our way! yipee! lol Ok, back to work for me! xoxo

Lena - Tuesday, 25 Sep
LOVE the new pictures!! Jackson is just getting cuter by the day and Lilli is such a doll! You must be so proud :) I got Ava a bouncer, slightly different than Jackson's. She gets exhausted after about 10 min. and cries for me to get her out! Then she sleeps for awhile and then when she's all happy and smiley I put her back in....she'll get used to it I'm sure! She still doesn't like being on her tummy....she is not yet strong enough to lift her head and shoulders up.....I use the boppy for now so her face is not smushed into the blanket! She gets so mad....poor little thing! She didn't sleep very well this weekend.....but, last night she slept 10 hrs. which was so nice. I actually went to bed early since I wasn't sure how my night was going to go! I'm off work tomorrow....yay! My mom is still watching Ava (she watches her every Wednesday) so I get somet time to myself!! I'm just going to get my nails done, shop a little and I have to pull a permit so we can fence in our backyard....then maybe I'll go help my neighbor w/ some cleaning or some errands since she just had a baby a week ago (she had a c-section). I will keep busy....I'm so looking forward to it! My weekend was nice....I wasn't in the best of moods since Chris has been working so much and has hardly been home :( Sometimes I just want a break......now he's sick so he can't be around Ava until he gets better...uggh! That's just the way it goes I guess! lol I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your weekend and I bet you are excited for summer! I'm excited for some cooler weather....hopefully it comes soon! Right now we have 'love bug' season....it's horrible. They are these little black flies that are all over the place.....they are very acidic and you have to wash your car everyday to get them off because it will eat the paint....they come very May and September....yuck! lol Anyway, I hope you are enjoying your week! xoxo

Jess G - Tuesday, 25 Sep
honestly, I'm not that excited about our trip. I would much love to be going somewhere else...me, phil, and Regan...I mean, it was ok when they weren't gonna be out here...but Sarah, Kelli and Taylor have been here since the 16th, they stayed here 2 days...and Adam will be in tomorrow...and they don't go home until OCTOBER 1st....then we have to leave 4 days later to go out to see them!?!?!?! I mean, I love them and all...but darn...Haven't we seen them enough...Phil doesn't get that much time off...I'd love to have this vacation to ourselves....especially since the last one wasn't really a 'vacation', I was giving birth! LOL! Phil tried to tell Adam, 'hey, man, if you're gonna be out here, we aren't coming out there!'...Adam says 'nooo, daddy, you ARE coming!!' so, no, not looking forward to so much anymore. But the kiddies come first, ya know. How was your weekend? Have you started Jackson on cereal yet? I tried Regan on cereal at 12 weeks, she wasn't quite ready, she did ok, but alot of days didn't want anything to do with it. Well, she done(and doing) alot of changing the last few days and was just acting ready...trying to grab her bottle some, pulling out of her mouth and putting it back in over and over and over...and she's started putting her hands and our fingers in her mouth and chewing, and watches me intently when I eat..lol...so I gave it another try and all the sudden she does great...she likes the oatmeal and opens her mouth for the spoon.

Jess G - Friday, 21 Sep
oh, I can't stand seeing a kid walking around with pacifier in their mouth. If you're old enough to walk, you should have a paci in your mouth! Sounds like a fun weekend! Enjoy!

Lena - Friday, 21 Sep
Wow, 12 months of leave! lol You are a lucky girl :) As for me....I had to go back because I run my father's company and I don't have anyone to really fill in for me. I had my sister working for me part time, but she owns a permanent make up business so she had no time at all to herself. So I had to come back after 6 weeks. I bring Ava w/ me so it was pretty easy to come back because I didn't have to leave her. I don't really have to work either, but I love having my shopping money! LOL Important stuff, I know!! lol Your daughter is so adorable....I love the new picture!! And little Jackson looks like he is full of personality! Is he holding his head up really well? I want to put Ava in a bouncer soon, but I'm afraid her head isn't steady enough....hmmm....and she is starting to hate being on her back for very long.....she wants to see everything and sit up like a big girl...so cute :) I hope you have a great weekend!! I'm cooking dinner for my neighbor who just had her baby on Tuesday....it's her third and she doesn't have family around here so I am making her family dinner tonight. Then Saturday I'm going to a baby shower and Sunday is football! I will be busy!! xoxo

cassandrans - Friday, 21 Sep
I didn't know you could do that with the hieght at 2 years old. I'll have to remember that for Lily also. Yeah, AF showed up for me too. I should have never mentioned it! lol. I've had aches and pains. My backache was as bad as being 9 months pregnant again!!!! The weather here is so strange. I live in Oklahoma and they say if you don't like the weather, wait a minute. And it's true, the weather can change so drastically in an hour, much less day to day. On day it was a humid 95 degrees, and the next day it was a chilly 67! It's a sign that fall is approaching and I hate it!!!! I love the warm/hot weather. Even when I was pregnant, I didn't mind it being 102 degrees. This weekend isn't looking too bad, probably get some rain tonight (Friday) Then the weekend is suppose to be in the 80's. I think I need to get a vacation home someplace warm. lol I'll ask for one for christmas! I wanted to ask you a question, and I hope it doesn't offend you. I am wanting to have more children, but I'm afraid I won't love my 2nd and 3rd child as much as Lily. What's it like having a new baby while already having a child? Can you love the baby with the same intensity? Is it possible to love that much? I know it sounds silly, but I would have to neglect a child. I was hoping you could restore hope. lol

Jess G - Friday, 21 Sep
absolutely you have to condition them. Sure it was a bit tough to train her to her crib...she wanted to sleep in her in papasan seat...and didn't like her crib. I took a couple nights, let her cry it out some...and bam, that was it. I told Kelli, you'd better do it NOW, b/c the longer and longer you wait, the harder and harder it's gonna be to transition them to where you want them to be. All these people are talking on the 4th month baby page how there baby is still sleeping in there room...there's NO way...look what kind of time they're gonna have moving them into their own bed in their own room. My mom regrets not training me to my room/bed...and so does my stepmom with her kids. I didn't want that to happen with me...she's never slept in bed with us..and only slept in our room for one week. After that, I moved her O.U.T! LOL! And I let her cry it out sometimes when I know she's just ticked off...some people NEVER let their baby cry...likes it's cruel or something...more power to 'em...you may be that way...that's cool...but I sooo let her cry sometimes...I know when's just pitching a fit. When she's just mad like that..and I let her cry...it doesn't last long before she realizes she ain't gettin' what she wants! lol. um...my mom will probably come over tomorrow to see Regan..then we a have party to go to for a little while, then we're coming, I'm putting Regan to sleep and we're going to finish watching the Alabama football game. Sunday...I have no idea! how about you, what you up to?

Jess G - Friday, 21 Sep
I have NO idea where that comes from, I've had a couple people say they look alike, let me tell you, apparently the picture doesn't do justice, b/c they look NOTHING alike. lol They both look exactly like they're daddies, but Adam, phil's son, doesn't look a thing like Phil. But thanks, they were cute together, tho I did realize how completely blessed I am to have a child like Regan! lol! I've done one hell of a job with Regan so far, if I do say so myself! LOL! I was up alllll night Tuesday night with Taylor(so Kelli could sleep) b/c they haven't taught her to sleep alone, and what's funny is the two nights they were here were her best night ever...b/c Kelli did what I told her to do with Taylor and it worked. AND she grunts allll the time and it drove me crazy when I was trying to sleep! I trained Regan right from the start to sleep in HER bed in HER room...didn't take long. She loves it, at bedtime, she just wants me to put her in bed...that's it...awake, she doesn't want me to rock her, she just wants me to put her in bed. She'll go right to sleep, if she's crying she'll stop and go to sleep. Yes, she's been better, seems to be out of the cranky phase and into the 'I need alot of sleep' phase. But that's fine...she sleeps 11 hour night and still naps alot in the day(which is not usual, usually she's up with little naps, I think she's growing) --Great pic of Lilli! Sounds like a fun day!

Gary is about 6'4, so he's almost a foot taller than me. I'm only 5'6, not short, but not tall either. She keeps growing like this she'll be my height when she's 6! lol. My doctor told me not to feed Lily solids until she was 4 months, but I decided she was ready anyway. But I wanted to start her on vegtables first because I want her to LOVE vegtables. I figure if I start young when she can't really tell me no yet, that maybe I'll have some luck with it lol. I sure hope so. She's already quite bossy now. As far as Gary being a dad, I think he was born to do it. He loves it. He loves to rock her asleep, but he really loves it in the morning when she wakes up to eat before he leaves for work and he can get a little play time in. She's SUCH a morning person and absolutely anything makes her smile before 6am. Gary and I have always been night owls, so we're having to adjust to the morning thing. Gary is just a doting father. Anyone that will listen about her, hears about her. Anyone that stands still long enough, sees 3 or 4 pictures of her. I'm greatful that he doesn't shy away from taking care of her either. Like changing the stinky diapers every once in a while. Sometimes he whines or gets frustrated cause he can't figure out what is wrong with her. But she is somewhat of a momma's girl. I take her and she's fine. I'm just with her alot more. He gets a little upset that she will quite crying at the sight of me or the sound of my voice or that I instantly know what is wrong with her after he's been trying to get her to quite crying after 30 minutes. I assured him that before too long, she'll be asking for him and be looking at me like mom who? lol. Does Shaun help alot with Jackson?

cassandrans - Friday, 21 Sep
He is getting big!! My Lily grew out of alot of baby clothes quick also. She has gotten quite tall. She must have gotten that from her dad and her feet are freakishly large!! She wears the same size shoe as my 1 year old nephew!! I have started her on solids, but right now she'll only take a few small bites and then she wants nothing to do with it. She gets frustrated that I'm not feeding her quick enough. She'll get the hang of it eventually I'm sure. I think I'm going to start her on green beans next. She just isn't fond of the cereal.

jill - Thursday, 20 Sep
Hi Sarah! 7-7! That's great! Jackson sleeps about 7 hours, then needs a bottle and will sleep for the rest of the night. I guess that's normal though. How many names a day does your Jackson take and for how long? Oh and the new pictures are so cute!

cassandrans - Thursday, 20 Sep
I have pretty much healed up 100%. The odd thing is that I still have numbness where they cut me. They said that could last quite a while though, since they had to cut through some nerves. They even said I may ALWAYS have that numbness. It's the strangest feeling, touching it, but not really being able to feel it. And every once in a while, I'll feel a painful tug down there and a stomach cramp here and there, but really it's nothing like before! So I would say I'm 99%! hehe. My little Lily has a jumper, but it's not quite like Jackson's, her's isn't form fitting. The one I have for her has had plastic around the top of it and she tries to hang over it and I think sometimes she's just trying to flip out of it! Just yesterday she fell asleep in it, it was so cute! She loves her jumper too. Jackson looks like he's getting so big! How big is he now? How much is he eating? Take care! Talk to you soon!

Jess G - Wednesday, 19 Sep
hey, I added a pic to my photo page, check it out....

Hey Sarah how are you? I haven't heard from you in a long time. Have you been over to the talking babies website. A bunch of us are on there on the 4 month page. There are people from all different months though. How is little man doing? He is so cute.TTYS!

cassandrans - Wednesday, 19 Sep
Jackson is so stinking cute in that jumper!!! I can not get over how much he looks like his big sister!! So sweet! Lily and I are doing quite well, she's finally sleeping really well, but she strays from her 'schedule' ever so often. She's gotten to where at times, she just wants us to leave her the heck alone and let her play by herself. It's actually cute. This cycle thing is crazy to me. I bleed for 9 weeks after I had her! I was worried about it but the doctor said it was alright, that some women can bleed for 12 weeks! I did have a c-section so maybe that has something to do with the extensive bleeding before and no bleeding now. I'm sure everything's alright...I just thought it was odd. You're children are just so darn cute! I just want to squeeze them!

Lena - Tuesday, 18 Sep
Oh my goodness....he is so adorable! He is so big Sarah! lol Wow! Well, Ava is still doing her 10-12 hr. stretches at night too. Last night she slept 15 hrs! She didn't take any naps at all during the day and she fell asleep on my way home from work and didn't wake up until 7 this morning. It seems like no matter what time I put her down at night, she always wakes up at 7 or 6:45am. She's so good :) The weather this morning was actually cool. Maybe low 70s....I won't get too excited. It usually doesn't completely cool off until Thanksgiving. How is your family doing? Are you feeling completely back to normal? How is work going...you went back right? Is it starting to warm up over there? Well, have a great day Sarah! xoxo

Jess G - Tuesday, 18 Sep
yeah, I heard that too, so maybe that's it...oh well, she'll get thru it and get back on track. It's not I've had to be up with her at night, I can just hear her awake and restless...so I'm not sleeping well either. But last night was good again. And hopefully the crankiness in the day will subside again. She doing a bit better today. We're gonna be gone about 5 days. How's the new house? how's lily and jayc?

Jess G - Tuesday, 18 Sep
hey! Good to hear from you! Weather is still hot! We had a nice morning Sunday morning, but by about 8am, it was warm again! Regan is good, she's been having rough week tho, dunno if it's a growth spurt or just a bad week. Regan actually gets to meet her niece today. They're in town and staying with us tonight and tomorrow night. They'll be in town until OCT 1st...OCT 5th, we're heading out to Texas to stay with them. Yep..lol. I love the new pics of Jackson...how cool is that jumper thing? Regan would LOVE that!

jill - Wednesday, 12 Sep
Hi Sarah! Jackson is great. How many hours does your Jackson sleep?

Lena - Wednesday, 12 Sep
Hi Sarah! Well, Ava is back to sleeping 12 hrs. at night again. Over the weekend she didn't sleep well at all, but come Monday we are back in the same routine. yay! lol Now that the weather is getting alot nicer I've been taking her for a 3 mile walk/run in the evenings....the fresh air is probably helping her to sleep better and I get my exercise too! lol So is Lilli rested up from her busy weekend? Did she have fun? I'm glad you had Shaun home so he could spend time w/ you, Jackson and Lilli...how nice :) How is Jackson doing.....you mentioned he is cutting teeth? Ava is starting to chew on her fist now, so she might be close to cutting teeth as well...oh boy! lol xoxo

Jess G - Monday, 10 Sep
Wow, she is a popular one! Sounds like my little sister, sometimes she'll have 2 or 3 parties to go to in a weekend! Oh, I love it when it's in the 70's...but not below! lol! We're hitting some high 80's this week...

lena - Friday, 7 Sep
Hi Sarah! No big plans for the weekend.....I had such a busy weekend last weekend that I just want to relax! lol My sister and her boyfriend are coming over tonight for some dinner and drinks, should be fun :) Now that Ava is in bed by 7-8, it will be easy to have company over. Last night she got up at 3:30am....boy, that was hard getting up because I haven't had to in over a week now! lol She got me! lol Oh well, I guess you have great nights and then they throw you a curve ball every once in awhile. Wow, 3 birthday parties in one weekend! You are going to be busy shuttling Miss Lilli around :) Yes, Chris works just as much as Shaun, if not more. He works 6 days a week....12-15 hr. days. I get up at 6 to feed Ava so he'll see her for a little bit in the mornings and usually when he gets home in the evenings she's already in bed. So he'll go in her room and just stare at her for awhile! lol Oh, gosh...I would rather it be in the 60s at night and 70s during the day. That's how our winters are for the most part and I LOVE it! Today Ava was so cute....she was laughing and cooing so much! She's just the cutest :) I could stare at her forever!Well, have fun w/ your family this weekend :) xoxo

cassandrans - Friday, 7 Sep
I love the new pic of Jackson! He's really starting to fill out! I just love the shoes he has on. Is he sleeping and eating well?
