7lbs 10 oz 19 inches long

Not a birth story really, I was having slight contractions at my 39 week check up, so they sent me to labor and delivery to be induced. After laboring all night and into the next day it was confirmed that she was stuck in my pelvis, and her head was not going to fit through the birth canal anyways, so I was swept off to a C-Section.THE spinal was a scary thought, but once I accepted there was no other way it wasnt that bad. The contractions werent that bad either, and the recovery from my c section wasnt horrible. I was up and dressed the next day, walking around griping about how Id rather be home! The worst day was the third day after my c section. After that it was all good. My c section was a really positive experience and I have nothing but adoration for my Dr, who finally came through for me, it took nine months, but he came through and I praise him!!! It was all a breeze, and I hear it isnt that way for everybody, but I can honestly say it wasnt bad at all and I MAY considering taking this whole crazy trip, again. MAYBE.

Well, it just occured to me that Adia is going to be a month old next week. OMG. ITS TRUE What they say, time really does fly! It seems like every day just drags on and on but all of a sudden your looking at the calendar and saying where was I all those days? My day is filled with stuff, and nothing at the same time! I spend all day with Adia, and the hours just melt away. I have watched her learn to raise her head, imitate our funny faces, and roll over. Its just amazing! Theres nothing like the feeling that being a mommy can give you. Somtimes she cries just to be held. The instant I pick her up she stops crying and stares at me for what seems like hours, she gets so hungry she starts making loud sucking noises on her fingers or anything that comes within reach of her mouth, it just blows me away. AND SHES SO IN LOVE WITH HER DADDY. Its not all cuteness though, I havent really slept much since she was born, nor have I Had time to do ANY of my laundry. I HONESTLY HAvent done my laundry in three weeks and one day. Im so tired at her 4 am feeding that I make daddy do it, which in turn makes me feel guilty...I get resentful of my husband smetimes because he wants me to take care of all her night feedings and I Just cant do it. I know he works all day so he needs his rest but Im with her all day and all night, I dont get to nap. Adia is slightly colicky so thats been kind of intense but IM HOPING her formula changes are over with,soy and karo really are a miracle combination! Its too bad shes lactose intolerant...Well thats whats going on with me ladies, so I hope your having easy pregnancies and sleepy babies! Until next time...... XOXOXOXO

Adia is a little over 6 weeks old. SHE only wakes up at 5 am for feedings now, which is really really awesome! her hair is still mostly there, thank goodness. I thought it was all going to fall out. about a week and half ago I started having horrible horrbile pains, like writhing on the floor-in-agony- pain. Turns out it wqs my galbladder and I needed emergency surgery. I guess gallstones happen alot after pregnancies, and its triggered by high fat diets, and while your pregnant things are harder to digest and you internal motility is comprimised, thus the gallstones. So be warned! It started feeling like gas pains coming on.........and then I was on the floor! BUT the surgery was way easy and i was released from my surgery the same day, and back to work on monday. (I had surgery on Friday) I guess I Must have super healing powers, because it was the same way after my c-section. Im a little worried that Adia doesnt smile enough, you cant really provoke a smile from her yet. Maybe I have a serious baby? Iknow she can smile, she does it now and again, and sometimes while shes sleeping she will crack a smile but theres no consistency. Maybe its still too early? hey there. I know its been a while since Ive been here last but Im working full time and Between adia and the husband I dont get much time to do this anymore. I do miss everybody though, and our interactions because none of my frineds have children so they dont understand what adia and i are experiencing.... Its like for 6 weeks adia was a lump and all of a sudden everytime i turn around she has learned something new! I live for her smiles and die when she coos.
Shes the coolest thing since sliced bread. :)
She holds her head up now and man is she a long one! her pants are size 6-9 months because her little legs are so long. shes not a fatty either, its just those legs, which she obviously didnt get from me. (im 5'1) her baby babble is super loud, and she likes to make loud noises for her daddy, like if hes facing away form her she grunts and yells at his back. she never cries really, like Ive never seen tears come from her eyes. I love my little girl. my pregnancy sucked, it was hell, but man she was worth every second I waited. I couldntimagine my life without her in it.

It was a long hard road to her arrival, but she shere now and I COULDNT be happier!!!

Well folks, adia was three months on the 18th. Time just flies, it really does. Shes such a joy to be around, my little girl. shes the happiest baby you ever saw, i swear. She got her pics done with santa, it looks wicked bad. Her head looks so massive, rofl. ADIA slept in her own room for the first time last night, boy was I nervous! I had the monitor on full blast! But We may decide to rent her room out ot my brother in law, temporarily. NOW IM LIKE< GEEZ, where do i put all her stuff? She has toy bins and a crib andall kinds of crap in there, wheres it going to go? You may ask yourself how Ive accumulated so much stuff fo rher, well, I quit working at the school, and went ot work at a toy store. No shit. :) I sell so much that I get bonuses almost everyday in the form of store credit. I havent had to actually BUY adia anything in a long time :) Its also a baby/toddler clothing store. How did i get so damn lucky?

so for those of you who know about adia's little problem, and those of you who dont, heres an update:

Adia mayneed to go to san francisco to see a speacilaist, she is on prune juice and water for a week, and if that doesnt work I guess its off to frisco, we go. Adia cant poop on her own, her food is taking to longto digest and her colon is sucking all the water oout of her poo, so we need ot get to th e root of this problem. Constipation has been an ongoing issue since birth and we are at out wits end. :( She did well on the prune juice yesterday but today we got no results whatsoever. :( AND SHEs really throwing up now, its like everytime we find a solution it creates another problem.
BUT GUESS WHAT GUYS? I go tto meet my i-am-pregnant due date buddy. And her beautiful little boy dean. My dean-o, dean bean, dean the machine.

Well this month has been a rollercoaster for me. I found out I Have somehtign called Graves disease, which was a total shock. Then Adia began to vomit for two weeks straight, everytime she ate, then she began to vomit blood. She had to do a million tests and lots of bloodwork. Shes ok, dont panic! SHE has severe baby GERD, so now shes going to start taking zantac or something. Its something she may grow out of when her muscles get stronger. Adia only weighs 12lbs, and Im catching some tough criticism. Shes 25 inches long though, so shes tall and skinny. Its not like I dont feed her, you know? My dr keeps assuring me that Adia is totally "average" and that shes exceptional in her motor skills. She rolls over both ways, sits for short (very short) periods unassisted and she has excellent muscles control as far as grasping objects and all. Its been hectic, but my lil girl is priceless, I wouldnt change my crazy hectic life for anything in the world.

PS- the most beautiful noise in the world is your babys' yawn before bed. :)

AH! The long awaited update::::
SO adia will be 6 months old on the 18th. Shes eating baby food twice a day. She seems to like everything, as long as there arent carrots in it. They make her gag and vomit, its pitiful! Shes sitting up all by herself! She loves her exersaucer, and her walker. I just cant believe that a few months ago I felt like she would never be here, and now she is! My days pass so quickly. Shes such a stellar, happy baby. At her 5 month appointment she weighed 14 lbs, and was 25 and a half inches. She is still taking her medicine for her GERD, and still has a pretty bad constipation problem, but we are hoping she will out grow both issues in the next few months. My dr is very pleased with adia's development. SHE has two teeth coming through, you can see them, its so cute! Her teething isnt bad at all. She sleeps like a champ too! I think she will be crawling in the next few weeks. My dr says she is very advanced, but that doesnt mean that she wont peak, and kind of stall out in a few months with her development. Today she was playing with me on my bed and when her daddy walked in she got all excited and reached for him, then she said very loudly and clearly while looking at him, "DA! DA!" I almost fainted! I was so happy, and of course bryan was wicked stoked on himself, and has been gloating about it all day! Im so excited, I got my little bean a pair of vans, two pairs of baby etnies, and a little itty bitty pair of converse! thank god for internet shopping, eh? Im sorry if my blog is hard to follow, i hardly get time to update this anymore, and i have so much to say!


Can you BELIEVE that somebody commented on my "ugly, bald, bigheaded" baby? She didnt know it was my baby she was talking about, but yeah. Chick called my baby ugly and I of course had to threaten her. She will never smack talk a baby again, lol. I took it in stride, she was of course one of my new childless, teen aged coworkers. She'll understand someday. Besides, I know my baby isnt ugly. Shes absolutely adorable. Thanks for reading ladies, have a beautiful day!

Well. Here I am blogging again. Im pretty stoked, my lil girl is going to be in a commercial next month! Its a commercial for Lots for tots. Which is wicked cool. Shes going to get a couple bucks for it too! I guess as my sister put it " combats that chick calling your baby ugly". TAKE that!

Adia has two teeth showing in front, and she sits up all by herself now. Shes getting sooo big. I wish you guys could watch her grow with me.

Theres nothing more amazing than being a mommy.

Adia is seven months old in two days. She started crawling about two weeks ago, and now thres no stopping her. She talks alot, and most of it doesnt make any sense. Shes going through a growth spurt right now, and still only wakes at 5 am to feed. NOW THAT SHES MOBILE NOTHING IS SAFe and she always seems to find somehting on the floor, even after Ive vaccuumed it! Shes suffering from daddy envy right now, as i am not working she spends more time with me and tires of me quickly. We're taking her to san francisco this weekend. It should be interesting to say the least....

Well adia is 8 and a half months old, shes got 6 or 7 teeth now, and shes cruising as well as crawling! she occassionally lets go of whatever shes holding and stands for a second before she loses her balance and she shows a real aptitude for language. She tries to string her words together and its so adorable. Just today she repeated "no keekee" (for kitty kitty) and she repeats really random words. She likes to imitate and she even dances! I cant believe how well shes doing. and guess what?! i fixed her alleged "GERD" by giving her cold bottles all the time! Isnt it odd that something so simple could fix what the doctors couldnt? And you know what, I bought so many expensive sippy cups and the only one she will use is the dinky one from the dollar store!!! im learning just as much as she is and Im just as excited as she is when she learns something new! She s till needs to be swaddled at bed time, and she quit the binky all by herself when she was about 6 months old. It seems that every othe rmonth she goes through two weeks of waking up in the middle of the night, it must be a growth spurt or somehting. BUT SHES sleeping through her nights once again and Im just thrilled to have my sleep back!!! Shes taking small steps at ten months, and can climb anything and everything, shes still got 8 teeth, and no hair. I love my little girl :)
