Hello… I have PCOS with my first child (she is now 11) it took me 5 years to get regnant with her on clomid and IUI. I carried full term with out any trouble. This one I am pregnant with now I got pregnant right away with a more aggressive approach with two medications that are new to PCOS. I got pregnant first try without the IUI at the age of 34. I was diagnosed with POCS in 2005 after having a m/c. We tried clomid and it just did not work. Now I am finally pregnant. I wish I was aware earlier because being 35 I feel that time is running out for me to have another one if I want. I don't know if POCS has anything to do with it but I failed my glucose test and I think I have been really good with my eating during my pregnancys. Obviously not. It is good that there are others out there who have been able to conceive with POSCS. -- Deb

Hey...I was diagnosed with PCOS last year and my doc said it would be very difficult to get pregnant...well, I got pregnant on our first try with no fertility help! Here we were thinking we had at least a few years of trying ahead of us and it only took one time!!! So, doc's can be wrong...and I feel extremely blessed. I know its not easy for a lot of women and I am very lucky.

About the PCOS my friend has it and she's been trying to get Prego. for a while now she has miscarried 3 times in the last 6 months or so is there anything you can sudgest i could tell her that may help her to concieve.... She has a son but she hasn't been able to stay PG when she gets that way!!

I have PCOS and got pregnant on my second try with Clomid. (about 2 months) Everything has been going great, but am now faced with gestational diabetes. Having PCOS puts you at risk for developing this due to the insulin resistance; however, I am not going to let it get me down. I will just do whatever it takes to ensure that my little girl and myself make it through this pregnancy safely.

Hey, we were trying for a baby for 18 months and I was getting so depressed bout it not happenin that we went to the doc who tested us both and decided it was likely from my bloods and irregular periods that I had PCOS but before the appointment for the scan to test for it, we got pregnant so I'm still none the wiser!

I have had PCOS for 9 years now.I got pregnant young and after that birth,i developed PCOS.I had 1 period a year for 8 yrs and after meeting a new partner,decided to go onto the pill for precautions sake.I decided to come off the pill and at least try and after 3 months got pregnant.On an early ultrasound,they saw my ovaries and said they looked like they had cysts,the next ultrasound the cysts had cleared up.

I have PCOS, and the first month i tried getting pregnant, I did! But, they did have me on glucophage (helps you regulate insulin) and clomid (a small dose fertility med). But it worked wonderfully.

i also have PCOS, had it for about 8 years now. I met my husband in 2002 nov and was pregnant by feb 2003. However it took us 4 years to get pregnant again. We started trying for baby number two when my son was 6 mons old.

Yes, I have PCOS. It took me a while to get pregnant and stay pregnant. When I was finally diagnosed and started treatment everything went much smoother.

My husband and I tried for a year before we went to a different obgyn (first one was rude and not helpful) so I could get a good check up and find out why . I was diagnosed with pcos after a round of tests including an ultrasound to check my ovaries for the trait "string of pearls" cysts. I was put on metformin and a month later, byetta injections twice a day. After a month and a half I had lost 20 pounds! When my peroid was late in October of 2007 I thought for sure it was just the pcos and that I would have to take something to induce it just as I had before. I went in for my standard pee in a cup and left a blood sample to rule out pregnancy and then back to work. I had completely given up getting pregnant at this point, God had given me a calm about it, I had even packed away all the precious baby items I had for our "angel". My dr called me at work about a half hour later and told me the urine test was positive. I actually asked her what that meant I was so dumbfounded. That was the best day of my life, next to finding out the sex (a girl) last February. My dr is still amazed at the extent of my condition and how easily it all happened. And I finally got to pull out all my baby thing too!! Sorry so long but I am so blessed and I love to share how it worked for me and can for others too.

I'm in the "spectrum" of PCOS (high androgen levels but i meet no other criteria...though, i do get cystic acne, occasionally). This is my second pregnancy (lost the first but it was unrelated to PCOS). It took us five-six months to get pregnant with this one. I always had regular periods and my ovaries looked good when i had them checked last year. I did, however, pretend we were trying for longer to get pregnant b/c i was so impatient that they prescribed clomid. I don't think that's why I got pregnant though b/c with our first it happened on our first try (or not "try" but first time we had sex w/o protection).

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2006 and was told I had a 10% chance of getting pregnant. My husband and I got married on October 6, 2007 and decided to print out an ovulation calendar since my period was due on October 11th...we tried on October 24th like the calendar said, and 4 weeks later we found out I was 4 weeks pregnant =) I also lost 30 pounds 2 months before the wedding so i'm asuming that helped.

I have PCOS, or so they said, and it wasn't difficult at all for me to get pregnant. I was told it would be, and was told it could take a long time for me to conceive. Surprise! One month after going off birth control, little Hunter was conceived. Maybe they had me misdiagnosed or something, but if I do have it, there is hope for other ladies with it to get pregnant!

on the subject of PCOS, I was being tested for it when I got preggers, my ovaries were covered in cysts and the doc told me that it is one of a few answers and we were going to go more in depth then I was preggers after 5 years of proven infertility...I still don't know what is wrong with my ovaries, but one egg was good

sarah- i think you need to go to the hospital.. my friend lost a baby when she fell and didn't tell anybody or went the hospital..
