Hi there!!
My name is Sarah... and yes I am currently pregnant!!
So... this is how it all started!
My husband and I met at the county fair.. haha, what a place to meet - I know! Anyway, I was on a ride with a friend when I noticed him sitting across from us - all by his lonesome. So I asked my friend who he was, so of course she told me. Well boy, I just had to meet him, she introduced us... and yup! Left me alone with him for the rest of the day/night!
Of course by this time we had no choice.. we either went on rides together, or went our seperate ways and went on rides alone.. as his friends and my friends all left us! (How rude!)
By the end of the night.. I had received his phone number and plead for me to phone him the next day. The next day came and I nervously called him... and we talked on the phone from there on out for 2-3 or even more hours a day.. until finally we decided it was time to hang out. We made a day of it.. and late that evening he had decided to ask me out! I was happy to be his girlfriend.. as I felt like we knew each other so well.. and we had a lot in common.
So by Christmas of 2007, after dating a year and a little bit... he popped the big question!
Well of course I had to say yes!!!!
Not much longer.. on March 17th of 2008 we had decided to have a small/private wedding with just immediate family, and later on in the year... such as August 16th have a bigger wedding, dinner and dance. So that's what we did, and we both enjoyed it very much!
Come November it had been 7 months since we got married, and it wasn't that we were really trying for a baby, but if it happened, it happened type thing. Well nothing was happening, and of course I wanted something to happen. I couldn't wait to have a baby... So I spoke to my mother and we had both decided that it would be best to go to the doctors.. so off to the doctors I went... just to find out that I was diagnosed with hypo-thyroidism... nice huh?! Well not much longer after that I was running down the stairs with a pregnancy test in my hand and a smile on my face to show my husband that we were expecting!
It has been interesting ever since... we went for my first ultrasound at 11 weeks, 3 days to find out when my due date was, as my menstrual period was all messed up from the thyroid problem we were unsure. Turns out it was September 10th... that didn't last long, as at 17 weeks we had out second ultrasound... it had then changed to September 2nd.

Not only did our due date change the techie had told me 85% girl! My husband was disappointed as most men he was wanting a boy, but I got my way this time!!

So I have decorated her nursery in Pink Winnie the Pooh.. we went to the states with my sister and brother-in-law to buy the Crib set, soooo cute I may add! And then we have bought a pink Winnie the Pooh carseat and matching stroller - which is adorable!
Well now everything is a waiting game.. patiently waiting at 7 months.. almost 8 months, and I can't wait until it's over and my baby is in my arms and healthy!
I suppose everyone is wondering what we plan to name her... It's going to be
Savannah Gaylene Madelin

So it has been an interesting ride since... not only I found out I had hypo-thyroidism.. but I was pregnant too! So I decided to have a midwife and got accepted so I told my doc that I would no longer need him for my pregnancy, and off to see my midwife I went. So when you get accepted to have a midwife - you get assigned to 2 midwives.. mine were named Heather and Anita. Unfortunately to this day I havn't met Anita as back in January she went on leave and hasn't came back yet... she had broken her back - and when she is due to come back, they say she isn't going to be as healed as she had planned so they had to cut down on her clients. I just so happened to be one of them. But that's okay, I understood and didn't mind. So I am to go and meet my new midwife on July 6th... and she will take me from there on out.
Heather and I have discussed pretty much everything by this time... I have now had my glucose test done - which may I add... was AWFUL! Came back negative.. no sugar diabeties for me. Plus I discovered with my doctor earlier, that because I have a negative bloodtype and my husband has a positive bloodtype - my blood can try and fight off the baby... if they were to counter act. Which meant if this was too happen, I could miscarry! The worrying begins!!!
So when I got tested for sugar, they also tested my blood for anti-bodies.. well turns out there must have been some because at 28 weeks... I had to go into my midwifery clinic for a shot of Windro, to prevent anything bad from happening. Which was lovely... as any women who has had the same problem as me... knows what I'm talking about! It was very... uncomfortable, to say the least! Lol.
So.. hopefully now that I have discovered everything there is to discover about pregnancies... I don't get any more shocking news!!! Let's hope for the best! =)
So here I am .. at 7 months, almost 8 months. Patientally waiting the arrival of my little one. There is a lot of people around me right now that are also pregnant.. but they're all due in July because they had a brain.. unlike me! Heheh.
Well, I shall keep everyone posted on what happens next!!! Hopefully nothing bad!
