Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Depending on when your next appt is. If its not that far away I would just hold off on having sex and then ask the doc at the appt to see what they say.

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL!!!!! I have an 18 month old on top of just the regular pregnancy stuff. He's a ball of energy. Chasing him and being pregnant is wearing me out! I wish my due date was yesterday lol. I'm just tired all around. I'm ready to not be pregnant anymore. I wake up most nights with horrible heartburn or I can turn or lay the way I need to in bed. You'll never adjust to being pregnant. The only normal comfortable part is in the beginning when you aren't growing so fast and your belly isn't big!

Yeah I know what u mean. They always have the hardest time finding my vains and I end up getting poked at least 3 times for one blood sample :( U should c what my vains look like they're horrible.

scilla - Wednesday, 25 June
Hey there I just had the same thing happend to me. I took my 1 hr glucose on Saturday and I received a call Monday saying I failed. The 3 hour one was not as smooth as the first one. For one thing I almost threw up twice, I later found out there was double the sugar in it. I got pocked when I first got there 2c if my fasting sugar was not high. They said if it was I would not be able to test. After drinking it I was poked 3 more times in both arms in the same vain...ouch I hope it was just a false positive. Good Luck with yours

I also was told about my blood pressure being high and I had to do the 24 hour urine thingy. I could of sworn I heard my doc say my urine had alot of protein. I had to see a high risk doctor cause the blood pressure and the protein. I been praying that everything turns out fine cause I was so scared for my baby and myself. Well I went to my appt yesterday and he said my blood pressure was normal and he wasnt worried about it at all. He said maybe once in awhile it goes up but it wasnt a big deal. Then he said my 24 hour urine test came back normal with the protein and my liver and kidneys were fine. I was thinking to myself okay I thought my doc told me it came back with too much protein and that was bad. Im just glad everything is fine except that now they said my glucose came back really high so I still see the high risk doc for that. Well they have me checking my blood sugar with this meter and so far it hasnt really been high. So I dont know what the deal is. I just hope my baby is born healthy and Im okay. I hope things turn out fine with you and your baby. Let me know how things go.

I had to do the 24 hour pee in a jug test. Everything turned out alright but now they are talking about putting me on meds for my blood pressure. If they want to put you on bed rest then you need to listen to the doctor. Pray about it and ask GOD to bless your baby and your health. I am praying that I don't have to take the blood pressure medication but if I have to I know it is for my son. The best thing to do now is not to worry about it. You preclam is something that few women get but when they take their meds and follow the doctors orders they have healthy babies. Don't worry about it, just do what you have to do. (Pee in an orange jug for a day!)

I wouldn't worry as long as you eventually feel some movement. If you never feel anything, call your doctor and let them know how long it has been and they can tell you if you need to come in. If you go in, they will hook you up to a monitor and see what's going on. Sometimes our babies are just lazy!
Mine hasn't been moving as much lately, but when she does I can feel it stronger. My doctor recommended having something sweet and sugary if you were trying to make the baby move. Drink a soda or have your favorite type of candy, then lie down for a bit and see if anything happens.

AutumnBaby - Monday, 2 June
Hi there. I too have felt less movement for the last week than I did in some previous weeks. I think for me it is becuase my uterus has moved up considerably. Before when I felt more movement it was down low right where my pants hit and I think the tightness of my pants (even with the maternity elastic) seemed to create enough pressure that I felt more movement. Now that the baby is up higher and I don't have the pressure from my pants on my uterus I think it is just enjoying a bit more room to play around in. I still feel an occasionam squirm or poke, but not like I did in weeks 21-22. I assume that as the baby starts to grow into this space that the movement will get easier to feel again. As long as you are not in pain or have reason to believe that something is wrong you are probably just fine. Enjoy the normalcy now, apparently when they really start kicking they can keep you up at night. Good luck!!!

Hey there I know how u feel. I use to worry a lot too because there were days that I couldn't feel her at all. Like i would feel her 3-4 days straight and then nothing for like 2 or 3 days. I was told that alot depends on your activity if you're up and running all day chances are you'll miss some of the movements. Also it depends on your baby schedule. Like mine will be moving like crazy in the early mornings, then i won't feel anything all day. I get back home and around 6 to 10 she'll start kicking her little butt off :D Good Luck and dnt worry I'm sure everything is fine

marinegf-thanks for your imput. It made me feel a lot better knowing other mother-to-bes are feeling the same way and going through the same thing. Good luck with your little one!

mommyleek - Saturday, 19 April
Shaelyn - don't worry about not feeling your baby yet. I didn't feel baby #1 until 20 weeks. This baby #3, week 17 and I've only felt the baby move 1 time.............and they say that you can feel earlier with each baby. I had an appt today and while she was taking the heart rate, the baby was kicking and she kept saying "did you feel that" and I didn't feel anything. I'm sure your baby is doing great - look at it as a good thing..........once they start kicking, they never stop : )

marinegf - Saturday, 19 April
i havent felt the baby either. im not to worried tho bc they say alot of 1st time mothers dont feel the baby til later because we dont know what to look for. dont worry im sure we will feel the little bean soon!!
good luck and congrats!!

LindsayandJohn - Saturday, 12 April
I agree with you on not doing the test for AFP. It's not like you can change what is going on anyways. God is giving you what he feels you can take on. I wouldn't stress about it. I mean our parents didn't have our options. I believe there are two things you are not suppose to know- when you're going to die, and what sex your baby is. How many surprises does life hand you? I must admit, I do want to know, but it will be even more fun guessing- well, atleast for us. Are you going to find out??

Baby3OnWay - Tuesday, 8 April
Some people say its the mother intuition that causes these dreams of children. With all of mine I had dreams of them and what they were like, the sex... and some were about bleeding and such... the dreams are normal believe it or not. Check the net and look for dreams while pregnant and a lot comes up! Wish I could tell you the meaning behind it all but I can't. Stay positive though and don't stress too much about them!

LindsayandJohn - Monday, 7 April
I have actually read that a lot of the women on here have been feeling the baby around week 13-14 and now they aren't feeling it anymore. According to all the books and internet sites you are suppose to feel the baby around 16-20weeks. I must be a couple of days earlier than they thought because I started feeling moving Saturday. I was crying Friday because I just wanted to know what was going on and I was getting really anxious and scared. Your dreams are just your fears. You're afraid of losing your baby. And that is totally normal. I too had really realy strange dreams. I had a dream I gave birth to a shaved kitten. Probibly because I am scared of something being abnormal with the baby. I chose not to habe any test done, and now I am second guessing myslef... But in your case, I wouldn't sweat it. Just a couple of days until your next appointment right?

20baby08 - Monday, 7 April
Goodmorning,
You probably have these dreams because subconciouslly your scared to miscarry again. I had those dreams too. I would dream time and time again that when I would go to the restroom to clean myself I would see blood on the toilet paper :( I just think its because your scared. Dreams dont usually mean what it is. Just relax. I felt my baby flutter deep in my tummy yesterday morning but I didn't feel movement Friday nor 3 days before then. I dont think we're supposed to feel lots of movement anyway just in spurts. Our babies are stil pretty little but big enough to make themselves known sometimes. You'll be fine I've relaxed and those dreams disappeared. BE HAPPY :)
