We have been married for 7 years this coming October and waited 5 years to have our first son. Both my husband and son are such blessings-they make my days interesting, fun, worthwhile and I like to hope they make me a better person! We are excited to welcome another little one into our family and can't wait to see how his/her older brother learns how to share (?!?) and play!

Well, with the ultrasound done and showing a healthy baby (no sex yet:)) I am feeling pretty good physically. I was told my bladder could have been more full but they were able to get all the info they needed anyways (hee hee, I have learned my lesson about drinking all the water they tell you to drink!). My 1.5 year old son is learning new words and things everyday, it is amazing to watch! He is also going through a screaming stage when ever he gets frustrated or doesn `t get what he wants-sometimes I have a BIG problem keeping my temper under control! He is so small and is just trying to communicate but it is sure draining on me. Hopefully this is just a phase to do with teething, and he will stop soon and start napping again!

My first son i was almost two weeks overdue and was induced with pitocin after about 20 hours of labor i got an epidural and he was delivered with forceps after 26 hours. I felt like his delivery was a traumatic event and if i knew the things i now know i am for sure that his delivery outcome would have been a lot more positive experience. 28 month later i gave birth to my second son in the same hospital. I went into labor naturally a little over two weeks early and had a better experience. We labored for about six hours and he was delivered completely drug free after only four pushes (but yet still on my back). This time around i have found my self oddly obsessed with natural child birth and switched from my ob half way threw my pregnancy to a midwife clinic. I feel pretty good about knowing my rights as a mother and i'm pretty confidant this time around.....i'm a little nervous because this is my husbands first baby, both of my others were from a previous marriage, but other then that i cant wait to have her!

she basically went over bouncing/ rocking on a birthing ball, squatting in a few ways using your partner as some one to hold your self up, or supporting all of your weight. Having hubby stand behind you while pushing open your bones to help baby move down the birthing canal....cant remember the names of those bones how ever. Ummm....she had them use different tools on our back like a rolling pin, tennis ball, paint roller...and also just sit by us while rubbing our hands. They sat behind us and rubbed the bellies...or our backs...talked about using the tub.... All of these things she timed for a min while the moms were holding a hand of ice " fake contractions" this way we could see what we could use to help us get threw the pain. I think one of the biggest things that i took from it was having soft music in the background. That's something we just flew over in our birth plan cause i thought that would be the last thing i would like to have going on but it definitely would be something to help me tune out to i think...especially since my husband isn't the best with coaching words of encouragement....not his fault just not a verbal kinda guy. It felt silly at first going threw all this stuff but it helped, all in all i'm hoping we wont need to go threw half of this stuff since this is baby number three...keeping my fingers crossed it goes faster!

It was great, I kept dozing off! I wish she would have concentrated a little more on my feet and calves, since they are so swollen and hurt so bad. But that gives me a good reason to go for a spa pedicure!!!!

mommy20 - Thursday, 3 July
At least you will have that to look forward to, I am sure we will all need a massage after late nights with the crying babies!

Thanks for the info, I am so excited about it, that today is dragging by as I sit here at work. I will make sure to suggest they give me the works! LOL

Thanks for making me feel better about sex after the baby! We have such a great sex life, even now, and Im afraid to lose that. I have warned my bf about the no sex rule but he seems to be ok with it as long as I don't forget about him all together! Another you said tho scared me....you tore really bad? I thought they can prevent that by cutting you before it happens....

Hi, Thank you so much for the advice, I appreciate it very much. I was so worried I jeodordized my chances to being able to breastfeed this new baby too. I was so worried! Thanks again for everything! Best wishes to you and your family!

Hey thanks for the baby wearing info! I appreciate it. I am new to baby wearing and I am so excited to start! I just really wish I would have done it with my first son, but he was such a good baby anyway, plus I had never even heard of such a thing...I really like the mei tei style of carrier and I have seen such good reviews about it. Thanks again!

My mom had the same advice and my hubby told me to work at the pace that I feel most comfortable and that if they don't like it then they will learn to stop giving me so much. Thanks for the extra advice.

So I am not alone :) Thanks for making me feel as normal as I can while pregnant! I read about the emotional rollercoaster, but I kept thinking -o that won't be me i am completely emotionally stable! ha at least we can blame hormones instead of insanity

I just wanted to say Thank You for all your thought and prayers. I went to the doctor yesterday for an ultrasound and her femur bone is no longer broken and has new bone growth. Praise the lord!!!
