Hello everyone I'm from England and came across this site when I was searching for information after finding out I was 5 weeks pregnant and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with you, (hope you all understand my English terminology lol.) I
have two grown up children, both girls aged 16 and 11. Some people think I'm mad to start again but my older children are from a previous relationship and my current partner is desperate to be a father. We did not go into this lightly and discussed in great length the pro's and con's of having another baby at this age. We have been trying for two years with heartache along the way.
I've had a previous eptopic and lost my left tube and I M/C twice last year. We lost twins at 12 weeks in January last year and I had a mis-miscarriage at 8/9 weeks in December (the scan showed this also could have been twins). Due to the M/C I have had an early scan at 5 weeks 4 days (but I think I'm a few days ahead of that going by the scan pics)and the way I'm feeling) it showed that everything was progressing ok and the fetal heart beat was present, however it's still early days, so I'm still apprehensive but trying to keep positive. Have all the pregnancy signs and I am having my first day of feeling sick with acid indigestion, feel exhausted all the time (but told because I'm an older mother this time round, charming), been getting crampings and have had slight bleeding but it is brown (which is a good sign, when red it's not a good sign). Will have to wait until 12 weeks for another scan which seems so fair away, can not wait to get to that stage so I can then start to enjoy this pregnancy, so roll on to week 12.

Hey there, how you doing?? Hope the card reading goes well for you and you hear the things you want to. I can't comment on this guy as I have never met him but I think you should start looking towards the future with your baby and start to mentally move on. If he gets in touch and realsies he has been a complete b**?$"d then bonus for you and the baby and if her doesn't come to his senses then more fool him but you are in a win win situation as you will have a beautiful baby. What do his parents think of his behaviour?? Take care and look after yourself x.

Hi Shazrany, just read your message and would like to say that you need to stay strong and focus on you and your baby, What he has done to you is just awful. The same thing happened to my sister and now her boy is 3.5, she has dated several guys, been wined and dined, met loads of new people and is now in Portugal on holiday with her partner who is lovely and great with my nephew. And remember PMA - Positive Mental Attitude will take you a long way. If u need to chat you know where I am x.

OMG, that is crap! Even if he came back, being that it is another women, you are never going to be the same. He just flippin ruined it! I am sorry hunny! Hopefully, he makes decent money to pay his child support. As far as you go, you can do anything you put your mind to. When my first marriage ended, I was a stay at home mom. He took off w/ every penny and we had a new home and just put a new pool in. I was ill, I cryed so much it burned to wear makeup. I was in a sink or swim situation. I swam for my kids and started my own business w/ nothing. Well, gods blessings! Girl, I make awsome money and love love love my life now. Still have my home, but did go through a few times of having my electric shut off. I made it and honestly I really did not have faith in myself I could do it. I really am proof it is possible. So please do not wait around for him, a dog is a dog and you deserve better. Yes, even w/ 3 kids. You are beautiful and their are plenty of men that would appreciate you. I am up for mistakes, but another women, uggg. Besides I could handle abortion at like 5 weeks, but at 11 or 12, that is crazy. How can he say that? That baby is fully developed. Anyway, I will keep you in my prayers and would support you whatever you choose. Hugs to you and baby!

Oh sweety that is terrible. I to have a 9 & 15 year old and remarried someone with no children. It was a hard decesion because it is very hard starting over mainly due the fact I am self employed and have been blessed. It is going to be hard to handle a baby and my business. I am scared! We dated for 3.5 years before I decided He is for sure is my soul mate and I am going to have to do this. I know in the future I will be thinking I cant imagine life w/o this child. But, omg I am struggling. Do not get me wrong I LOVE kids, it is just my age and career thing has changed. I would kill my hubby if he did what yours did. I am freaked out for you. But, I bet you have hit it on the nail & he has cold feet. He just got scared! That same thing happened to my sister in law and her hubby walked out, but when the baby came he felt like a dog. He is wrapped around that little boys finger and is begging for another one. The baby is almost 3. If your hubby was anxious to have one, he will come around. Just give him time, do not go after him. I really think he will come around. Its not like he is going to love paying child support and not see what he is paying for. What did he say about leaving? Are you still happy about being pregnant? Are you kids excitted?

They know what they are talking about, i would be more confident with a private clinic then the nhs anyway. my local nhs hospital is horrible since it opened there has been nothing but problems.my friend had her baby there and when she arrived they didnt even have a pillow for her. there was also an aids scare where one of the nurses had tested hiv positive but was still in contact with the patients, so i definetly won't be having my baby there. im feeling better now, more energetic. i have got my first ante-natal appointment with a midwife on the 24th then i will recieve my scan appointment after that.it should be around the same time as yours i cant wait either. are you anywhere near ramsgate, a friend of the family used to own a pub there called the bedford inn. feeling any better

Hey! I didn't go to the doctor's because my hubby's parents have a bp machine. I took it and it was only 116/ something. Can't remember what the lower # was but it was normal. So... if it doesn't go away before too long I'll call the doc and see what she says. Hugs, Sarah
