My name is Clarinda, I am 24 and married to a very loving and wonderful man. We have a 3 and a half year old son Ayden and a 4 and a half month old daughter Veronica. I am a Stay At Home Mom and my husband is in the United States Air Force, we have been married for 5 and a half years now. I had found out I was pregnant in 2003 but suffered a miscarrage when I was five weeks pregnant, it felt like my heart was riped out of my body. I found out I was pregnant again seven weeks later, Ayden was born on December 11, 2003. When Ayden was 2 and a half we knew we wanted another child and we were in the process of buying a house and moving to another state so we figured we start trying once we were moved and settled down.

At the end of September of 2006 I began feeling sick to my stomach and figured it was just the cold I had that was making me feel that way. After about 4 days of feeling sick to mystomach I decided to take a pregnancy test not expecting a positive at all. Before I could even zip up my shorts the test was positive. I was in complete shock not knowing how I could be pregnant because I was taking birth control. On May 19,2007 Veronica was born and we couldnt have been happier. My husband says two children is enough for us but I still want one more maybe two if I'm lucky, I'm hoping I can change his mind when Veronica's around 3 years old. I have two sisters and one brother so I've always seen myself having a big family.

MY BIRTH STORY. . . .

Okay so i went into the hospital at 8 pm on friday night, got into a room, into my gown and into bed. After getting settled in and being informed of how the evening would unfold, my mother in-law, father in-law and ayden all went back to the house to catch some zzz's while they could, and bryan went to arby's to get me some food before they started the induction. At 12am the nurse came in and gave me an IV, inserted the pill to soften up my cervex, and gave me my sleeping pill. I tried to sleep but was unable to for about 3 hours. At about 1:30 i began having menstral like cramping but it wasnt anything i couldnt handle. At about 4 am my nurse came in to check me and i was told i was 5 to 6 centimeters.

At 6 am she came back in to check me again and found out i was 6 centimeters. At 8 am i began to feel the contractions in my back and decided to get the epidural at this point. Dr. Bradshaw came into the room to see how i was doing and broke my water, then decided to wait a few hours to see how i was doing. At about 11:50 i had the feeling like i have to use bathroom and im not talking about number one, i called the nurse who just happens to be new that night and she gets my regular nurse. She then checks me and tells me im ready to push. After pushing twice i felt burning and knew her head was about to pop out. And two pushes later she was out at the time of 12:22 pm weighing 7 lbs 7.2 oz and was 20 inches long.

Ayden is really good with his sister, he wants to hold her all the time and he insists on helping me with everything whether its a diaper change or her baths, he has to help.

June 26

Okay so Veronica is now 1 month and 1 week old, my how time flies. She's getting so big, it's kind of sad to think that she wont stay this size forever. Although i am looking forward to her being able to move and get around on her own. June 19 was the first night that she slept through the night, I laid her down at about 9:45 that night and my husband and i crawled into bed around midnight. Thinking i had only about 2 hours of sleep until she woke up, i fell asleep. I woke up to my husbands alarm clock going off at 7:30 and realized that she slept the whole night without waking up once.

Well i was thinking that it was a once in a blue moon thing i again prepared myself to get up the next night. Again she slept through the night and did so for the next few nights. Two nights ago was the first time she woke up in the middle of the night. But again last night she slept all night. Well if you can call getting to sleep at 3:00am and sleeping until about 11:00 sleeping through the night. I've been afraid to tell anyone because i feel like the second i open my mouth or type on the keyboard then all h**l's going to break loose and shell never sleep through the night again. Here to praying she keeps it up. Whe had her one month checkup on the 20th and she was 9 lbs 5 oz. and was 21.25 in. long. She's getting so big. Next appt. she gets her shots.

July 17

Well in two days it will have been 2 whole months since I gave birth to Veronica... My how time flies... On the 23rd Veronica has a Well Baby checkup and her first round of shots. I honestly dont think I'm ready for this part again! When ayden got his first round of shots I almost left the room because I couldn't stand the look of pain on his face. Maybe this time I can be a little stronger since I've been throught it all before, but heres to hoping.... I cant wait to see how much she weighs.

Speaking of weight, I am beginning to get a little worried, Veronica has been eating 4 ounces every 3 to 4 hours and finishing the whole bottle, but lately she has been eating 1 to 2, sometimes 3 ounces every 3 to 4 hours but she only eats that much over the course of a whole hour, after an hour I get rid of the bottle. I really dont think this is a growth spurt because when a baby goes through a growth spurt they tend to eat more not less. Also when Veronica turned 1 month old she started sleeping through the night, but for the past week she has only been sleeping for 5 hours. She'll get up and I'll change her diaper and give her a bottle but again she doesnt eat more than an ounce or two then goes back to sleep for another 3 to 4 hours.

I pray that she begins to sleep longer at night soon, man I'm just so tired in the morning it's not even funny, I find myself having to drink a cup of coffee at 5 in the evening just to keep going. But the bright side for me is that I know she won't end up being 6 and still getting up in the middle of the night, I hope she doesn't at least.

In the afternoon when I lay her on her changing table to change her diaper the first place she looks is up at her princess border on her wall and the biggest smile spreads across her face, one of these day I'm going to get a picture of it if only I could remember the camera. She's talking more and more too, Bryan will have her and be making noises at her and next thing I know is I hear little squeaks coming from her, they could carry on a conversation believe you me.

She's getting so much better at lifting her head up too. When I hold her in my arms she doesn't seem to have too much of a problem holding her head up for long periods of time, but when I lay her on her tummy for tummy time, the period of time she holds her head up is slightly less then that in my arms. Shes just growning up so fast. Next thing I know shes going to be asking for the car keys.

I'll update when we get back from her Well Baby checkup on the 23rd.

July 25

Like Ive said before, Veronica's 2 month well baby check up was on the 23rd. I ended up giving her tylenol right before we left the house, hoping it would kick in in time for her shots, well needless to say it worked. We got there and they called us in right away, they weighed and measured her along with asking a whole bunch of questions, typical. She weighed 10 pounds 12 ounces and was 22.25 inches. She only gained a pound and a half and 1 whole inch in a month.

We got back into an exam room and waited for a good 15 min. for her ped. to come which was not fun for me because the tylenol had kicked in and i had a crying baby that wanted nothing more than to sleep and a three and a half year old that wasnt listening to me trying to get into anything that would open and crawling behind the exam table and screaming HIYAH at the top of his lungs running from wall to wall pretending to beat up bad guys.

After her ped. came in and checked her out, i asked her about why Veronica was not eating more than two ounces at a time! Dr. Lisa told me that it could be a growth spurt but she had never head of a baby not eating that little at the same time. She asked if Veronica was spitting up more than usual, which she isnt, and told me to watch her and if it gets anyworse i needed to bring her back. Now on to the shots, First the oral vaccine, she took that one no problem, I then had to lay her on the exam table and they took out 4 needles. 2 shots in each leg, poor girl, she was so mad.

She didnt stop screaming at the top of her lungs until we were out the door and to the car. Thankfully she slept most of the 40 min. drive home. She never developed a fever, but was a little fussy the rest of the day due to soreness in her legs, not to mention she slept most the the day too. Poor girl thank the lord we dont have to do that for another two months. Until next time.

Sept. 24

Today Ronnie is 4 months and 5 days old, shes getting so big. She had her 4 month check up yesterday along with her 4 month shots. She weighed 13 lbs 2 oz. and was 24 and a half inches long. All was fine with her other than being pissed off from the shots. We got Ayden and Ronnies pictures back from Olan Mills and Walmart. Ive posted them up above.

Dec. 04

Wow its been a very long time since I last wrote anything about Veronica..... Lets see, on Nov. 26th she had her 6 month check up, she weight 16 pounds 6 ounces and was 26 and 1/4 inches long, she getting big. She got her shots too, did much better this time with the crying than the last 2 times. I wanted to get Ayden and Veronica their flu shots by the ones that my insurance company pays for they were out of! On Wed. the 28th of November at about 3 in the morning Ayden began vomiting everywhere. Everytime he got cleaned up and settled back into bed he would vomit all over again. At about 5:30 I had had enough of it and we too him to the E.R. only to find out that he has the stomach flu.

They gave him medicine to keep him from throwing up and said to keep him hydrated. 2 days later Bryan and I were feeling very good ourselves, Yep you guessed it, we both had the stomach flu too. Friday afternoon Veronica started throwing up everywhere too, so I took her into her Ped. and was told of course that she had the stomach flu too and she has some bad diarrhea with it. I was told not to give her fruits while she has diarrhea because it can only make it worse but i can feed her her cereal and veggies. For the first few days everything i gave her she would throw up so i figured i would just give her a bottle everytime shes hungry.

This weekend were celebrating Aydens 4th birthday and i really hope that Ayden and Ronnie are over this before than. Ronnie's next well baby check up is in feb., she'll be 9 months. So until next time......

April 2

Okay so I updated my page back in Jan. but some how it got deleted. I dont remember what I said so Im just going to tell you a little about whats going on now. Veronica had her 9 month checkup in Feb. and was almost 17 and a half pounds and she was 28 inches long. She began to crawl when she was 8 months old and the very next day began pulling up on stuff, Shes begining to cruise a bunch now too. In the middle of March both Ayden and Veronica became sick so I took them both to the doctors and as it turns out they both had the flu and strept throat and Ayden had an ear infection on top of it. After 10 days of antibiotics theyre doing ten times better. Not a whole lot is happening in April just day to day life around here. We have already begun getting Disney Princess Birthday Decorations when and where we can. I cant believe its almost been a whole year since Veronica was born. Like I said not a whole lot going on here now so thats all I have for now. Until next time. . . . . . .

Sept. 18

Wow its been 5 months since Ive written anything on here, lets see where to begin. Veronica is now one day shy of being 16 months old. At her 15 month checkup she weighed 21 and a half pounds and was 31 inches tall. I was told that shes a little tall for her age and that shes not gaining weight like her ped. would like. Veronica weighed 20 pounds at her one year checkup so she only gained 1.5 pounds in three months. I was told to cut the juice to once a day and not to give her anything to drink an hour before she eats. I took what Veronica's Ped. said worth a grain of salt, its not the first time that I've been told my child(ren) is under weight. Ayden was like that too but hes as healthy as a horse, when my kids are hungry theyre going to eat, when theyre not hungry theyre not going to eat. Simple as that! ! ! !

Veronica has 10 teeth now, she has four on top, two on the bottom and four of her molars and since her molars came in it seems like the teething has come to a stand still for now. For the longest time I thought that I would be the only mother with a 18 year old with no teeth but I was proven wrong on that when she started popping teeth out at 8 months so I'm sure the rest will make their appearence when theyre ready. Veronica has recently discovered how to stomp and jump, its just too cute when she does both.

The first day of Preschool!Had to get the backpack!

Ayden has started preschool on August 1 and so far hes loving it. Just recently hes been telling us that he doesnt like to get up early to go to school which I shouldnt be all that surprised to hear it since nobody like to get up before the sun. But Im going to have to get used to it because Im sure Ill be hearing it for the next 13 years. He says he best friend at school is Michael and that they play together all the time. I asked Ayden what his favorite thing to do at school is and hes said nap time was his favorite. Which doesnt surprise me because he hates going to sleep but hates waking up in the moring, he loves his sleep. But I think that painting is his second favorite thing to do at school, he brings home alot art work that he creates. Ive bought tub to put all of his drawings and paintings in, I want to keep them all and show them to him when hes in high school or when hes grown and married with his own family. I dont have anything like that, my parents never did that for me so I going to do it for my kids. Its the least I can do.
