I was married to the man of my dreams in July 2007. He has a 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son that live up north with their mom (and visit us everyother weekend). I have a 6 year old son that lives with me 70% of the time. On September 26th we will be blessed with a child of our own!

BABY TIMELINE

January 10: pretty sure I got pregnant ;)

January 23: drank a lot of water and took a pregnancy test. There was a really REALLY faint line - didn't get too excited.

January 24: took a test before I got in the shower. As I stepped out of the shower I saw that there was a line. I screamed for my hubby (I'm sure the thought I fell) and after he came running I told him I thought I was pregnant. I called the doctor's office and they had me come in for some blood work to verify.

January 26: told my family this weekend, they were VERY excited. However it was hard because we didn't want to say anything about it to the kids until we were past the 8 week point.

March 7: told the kids tonight. The ex-wife is very jealous (which I find hilarious) and my hubby's kids don't understand (apparently their mom hasn't told then a lot about people being pregnant). I told my son sepretely and he understood right away. He looked from me to my belly, back to me, back to my belly. IT WAS ADORABLE! He is so thrilled!

April 8: was sitting in the kitchen discussing paint colors when I felt a "thump". Pretty sure it was baby, but haven't felt it again, so I'm not sure

May 15: 1/2 way today! Feeling the baby a lot more. Very excited. Only a few more days until my ultrasound.

May 20: IT'S A BOY!!!! We are thrilled. We thought we wanted a girl, but the minute we saw his little penis I couldn't have been happier! The doctor says baby boy is HUGE and more than likely that if he doesn't slow down I will have to have another C-section (had an emergency one with my son). Currently baby boy is in 90th percentile for growth. The ultrasound technician said the date would more than likely be Sept 25th, but my doctor doesn't want to move it until closer to the due date.

June 16: On Friday, I had my 24 week appointment and we scheduled my c-section. September 26th is the magic date!

July 1: Baby boy is moving big time! I feel like I'm getting a good beating every day :) It's getting harder to poop, and bleeding hemmorids are thankfully (knock on wood) not painful, but still are creeping me out!

July 9: A few things I have learned about myself in week 27:
1) My belly is hard as a rock. I mean s-o-l-i-d! I don't really remember this from my first pregnancy, but I remember on of my professors talking about it.
2) Bending down to tie my shoes actually hurts my belly. It surprises me that just a few weeks ago I was able to paint my toenails.
3) If I have to go poop - I better get my butt to the bathroom quick. I don't want to miss the chance, it might not show up again for a few days.
4) I am addicted to coffee. I love the smell, taste, warmth, everything! I usually never drink coffee, so the two cups a day I am having now is actually quite a bit. It's probably not doing a whole lot for my acid reflux.
5) A quarter mile walk tried to kill me! Last night my husband and I took our dog on a small walk. This morning I couldn't get out of bed!

September 17: Been a while since I updated. This baby is HUGE and my c-section is scheduled for next Thursday (25th) at 7:30 am. I have been put on bedrest while at home, but according to my doctor I can still work until Friday (boo!) I am SO EXCITED to have this little boy! I keep trying to visualize good thoughts about breastfeeding (since it was so horrible last time) and am just so thrilled to have him home and in my arms.

Septemeber 25: Baby boy TROY was born at 8:07 am! He weighs 9lbs 3oz and is 20 inches long. Since he's been born he's failed two hearing tests and is completely unresponsive to sound. We will have to see!

I have never been a milk drinker, so for me, I am having a major milk fetish since the past 2 weeks. Which means I am not drinking a lot by YOUR standards, but a lot more than usual. Plus I am addicted to eating cereal and milk, at least twice a day. :) Good for baby and us I guess!

Thanks for the reply. I have talked to my doctor about the travel and she is fine with it. I just have to be careful and try to walk around as much as possible.

You have every right to be upset. If he needs to vent that's fine, but he should NOT be venting to your friends/immediate co-workers/people you deal with everyday. He has his own little friends for that. But he should really be more understanding and realize that even if you DO get snippy, he should be going out of his way to be nicer and not give you a reason to. Being pregnant is hard, and the more people make comments about hormones or mood swings, the more it upsets the pregnant lady! Crazy people

thanks i feel very ginormous!!

My husband and I were in the same situation for a long time! We met at work at started dating right away. Worked together 3 years then got married. Another year and we got pregnant. We drove together, worked together, ate lunch together, lived together. This was all without hormones. Luckily (I suppose) for us, about 3 weeks after I found out I was pregnant I got a new job at a different company so no more working together. The hormones played me a different way, I miss him soooooo much! We went from seeing each other almost every minute of every day to barely seeing each other at all! I cried almost everyday haha (hormones!). We worked it out now because he drops me off and picks me up at work (out of his way) just so we have extra time together. It is definitely rough at times spending all that time together - but remember it probably wont always be like that and youll miss him!!!

Yup, I hear you. I'm not liking the whole pregnancy thing. I can't wait for this to be over with. Everyone says it's so magical and wonderful. What a crock of S*%t. I feel like crap and want my old body back. I think were just going through a phase, maybe it gets better and we'll feel different when the baby comes??

brandyboo - Sunday, 6 July

Ordinarily, I ask for the person's name, and after we hung up, I kicked myself for not doing it. The last time, I did get the scheduler's name--Kristin.

*Baby-Mine* - Thursday, 26 June

Hi! Sorry for the late response, I've been so tired lately. I was in labor for 26hrs. and pushed for 3 with my son. He was sunny-side-up and not descending, so I had a c-section. So far, my Doc and I haven't made any decisions. She said she would support a VBAC as long as this baby isn't anticipated to be as big as my son was. She also said she would not induce and would let me go 2 weeks overdue before performing a repeat section. I still am really unsure of what to do ,although, lately I've been leaning more towards another c-section. I'm just so afraid of having a uterine rupture. Wish the choice was more clear and I could just be at peace with it!

MummyBecky - Tuesday, 17 June
Thanks hun, she ended up giving me Fybogel, so will try that too!

niknak - Wednesday, 11 June
Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. I do have a lot of people in my life who think I should just be able to snap out of it, but then again I have a criminal rap sheet of 3 pages long of things I've done while in a manic state. Being pregnant has been one of the hardest things in my life. The more depressed I am, the more disconnected I am to my little Piper. well, thank you so much for your words of encouragement. Hope you are doin well. Take care...
