OMG!! My Little one will be coming soon.. possibly tonight... just got home from the doctors.. my cervix is very ripe... and I am 2-3 centimeters dialated.. and had the option to go directly to the hospital to be induced.. decided to hold off so the babys lungs had more time to develop (38 weeks on Sunday). The doctor thinks I will likely go into labor tonight.. if not, I go back in to see him tomorrow afternoon and will likely be induced then! I am so excited.. and nervous of course!! wish me luck!

YAAAAAAAY!!! Congratulations!!!! I can't wait to meet you in person and let the babies meet one another, once you get settled in! I hope you have lots of help - so many of the ladies I talk to on here had to have unexpected C-sections. You'll feel better in just a few days - it's just really hard at first (I can't remember how you delivered your first - maybe you've been through this before?). Congrats again and hope to see you soon! PS - What's his name??

hey there! went to my 36 week appointment today, and dr said that there is no reason for me to be on bedrest. My blood pressure is fine and everything looks good! He doesn't seem to think that baby will come early. I am so thrilled! being a bedrest even for a few short days was really difficult for me! I am hoping to have her at 37/38 weeks. when ever she wants to come will be fine with me. :) how are you doing? i hope all is well with you!!

Hi, I have been having the same pains but in my hands and feet. They are a little swollen, but not much. It feels like arthritis, but when I was pregnant with my daughter my doctor says that all of your joints start to soften at this point in pregnancy and that's what causes the pain. It's something that happens throughout your whole body, not just your pelvic area. I know that the worst is feeling the bones spread in my feet when I get out of bed in morning...

hey! i have the same prolem with my fingers. every time i wake up, my fingers are sooo sore. i think it's because we are retaining water...idk thats just what others have told me...my fingers look like sausages...
:'(...hope u are doing well!

Hi! I read your post on 36 weeks. The problem you're having with your hands may just be carpal tunnel. I have the same thing you described and my doctor said it was gestational carpal tunnel. Totally normal in pregnancy and will go away.

emma1230 - Friday, 4 April
Glad to hear you are making progress! I started having contractions a few days ago due to elevated blood pressure. so now I am on modified bedrest. to keep my b/p down. I think she'll stay cooking for a while. at least I hope she makes it until 37 weeks at least. I had emma at 34 weeks, so I have already passed that point. we don't have much longer! I am so excited! emily :)

how did your appointment go?

marina - Thursday, 3 April
Good luck. I am so excited for you to learn the sex, too. I just couldn't wait, but what a great surprise that is, if you can manage to...Are they talking about inducing yet?

marina - Thursday, 3 April

conita5 - Wednesday, 2 April
this is probably tmi but you asked so i will tell you. i saw a big peice of mine in the toilet after i went and then every since then when i wipe there is alot of mucus on the toilet paper so i asked my doc and he sai that that is the rest of the plug coming out a little at a time. hope that helps and all is well.

Thanks, I used two colors of clay (blue and brown) and kept them seperated for the most part, I made each little person seperatly and then when I combined the man to hold the somans belly I just kind of pressed them together and slightly smeared the hands together and to the belly... it was fun.... But it's gone now, I broke it into little peices and threw it at my babys dad when I found a text message in his phone I didn't like, so... at least i took a pic of it!!!

Hi!
Are you eating enough protein and good food? I just found out I have low blood sugar, which makes me feel cruddy and cranky all day. I have to eat better. The other thing that made me tired was anemia...You can see my page about that...
I hope you feel better soon!
God bless you and your little one!

No problem...if you do think that your leaking fluid don't just take what they say and be okay with it...my twin sister had her water break at 19 weeks and she went to the hospital...they tested her and said that it had not broken and that she had peed on herself...come to find out the test was wrong...her water had broken and they had to put her in the hospital for 5 weeks...she ended up losing her little girl at 25 weeks...they didn't catch the fact that her water had actually broken until a week and a half after she went to the hospital...I just wonder if they had caught it sooner and had her on antibiotics sooner if she would have carried her a little longer and been able to save her...thankfully you are quite past that point, but just don't take what they say and go with it...be adamant that they know for sure.

You could of just had excess discharge or you could have a leak in your amniotic sac...sometimes a small leak will repair itself...it sounds almost like this is what happened to you, but I'm not a doc either so I would definitely get it checked out just in case, because a tear in your amniotic sac could cause an infection in your uterus...I would watch for fever and/or tenderness in your abdomen. You do need to call your doc though and let them know...they will be able to instruct you further.
