Teegan Ashten is here as of July 3, 2007 at 8:34 p.m. via c-section weighing a whopping 9 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 and 1/4 inches!!
Well our baby BOY is finally here! We waited tooooo long to have him in our arms. At least I think so. = D
I was in labor for 32 hours before deciding to do c-section which was hard for me but overall I feel like I am doing great and I'm glad my woman parts are all still intact!! HAHA..although I was fighting to have a natural childbirth but my body was not cooperating. I only dilated to a 6 by the evening of the 3rd after starting my induction on July 2nd at 7:30 am! We had to stay in the hospital for 3 days after and it was a rough 3 days but I'm just glad we made it through. I'm not going to relive my birth story and go into major details just because it was so hard and tiring for me, I'm just happy it's all over with and we have our beautiful baby boy Teegan Ashten to watch grow and raise and I'm really looking forward to that. = )
Me on the day of my induction July 2nd...last pregnancy pics!
Here's the best sonogram pics I had from the first one to the last...I couldn't wait to see him in person!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

This isnt a recipe, but might help add some veggies to every meal. We use those Glad Steamlock bags and we love them. I buy fresh veggies and freeze them, then just drop a couple of servings in one of these bags and microwave for about 4 minutes and they come out perfect eveytime. Theyre really easy and convenient and some soft steamed veggies are great for baby! My little girl isnt old enough for solids yet, but Im sure these will come in handy when she is.

when you get those recipes, will you pass them on to me? we don't eat great either...but would like to..sometimes, haha.

Kids grow up so fast, literally before your eyes, and it so hard, but yet at the same time so exciting, it's a joy watching this little person that you created and taught growing up into such an amazing person, but at the same time it is difficult, I look at Katelyn now and just wish she didn't have to grow up so fast...dosen't help that now I am nearing 31, as they age u realise that ure another year older....lol. Yes I did bawl my eyes out when Dylan started school, I was the only mum too...lol, although I had a good excuse, Dylan was an only child, but all the other mum's had younger kids, so it didn't bother them as much, Dylan didn't cry though, he was like yea yea catch ya later, this is fun, see ya later, I didn't know what to do with myself that day, all I can say is cherish every day and cherish every little thing your son does. Trust me it does get easier. Ok got my kids to bed, now my pillow is calling me, talk soon...Bekxxx

Hi Ashley, Everything ure feeling is so normal, but their is so need to worry, eventually they prefer their solids then their milk, probably cause solids fill them up a lot more then milk... Just keep offering milk though, least u lasted longer then me..lol, Katelyn is almost 4 months and barely wants her milk, I have now started her on solids as she was always hungry, but pushing the bottle away...not that I mind, my son pushed the bottle away at 2 months so thats when he started solids, least I lasted a bit longer this time. Talking about growing up and not be needed anymore, Dylan turns 8 next week and now he dosen't need me, he gets himself ready of a morning, packs his lunchbox, makes me drop him off at the gate at school and although I have Katelyn who depends on me for everything, I am feeling left out by Dylan, but I guess u gotta let them grow up at some stage...just not so soon...lol, the only time he needs me now is when he dosen't wanna do his jobs, then he blackmails me into doing it for him ( ahh come on mum, u don't do anything else for me), but it is all worth it. Anyway good luck with it all.

Hi, At the moment. I just boil/steam up a batch of veggies till they're tender and them mash them with a potato masher. I have done chicken and lentils too but still puree them with the blender. I freeze them in cubes then generally defrost them overnight in the fridge for the following day. If I forget then I'll do it in the microwave. When it comes to Olivia eating the food I always heat it thoroughly in the microwave then leave it to cool. I used to give her single foods but she's having mixes now so I'll defrost asy a cube of chicken, potato, carrot and broccoli then split it into 2 bowls so she has the same thing for lunch 2 days in a row. When I visit a friend of mine who hasn't got a microwave I borrow a pan and heat it through on the hob - little more washing up but then I don't have to resort to jars or packets very often. Hope this helps - I've started to give her well cooked basmati rice and pasta with her veggies too but I tend to cook that as I need it and chop it up small.

Thankyou for the comment on my kids, unfortunatly my daughter is a spitting image of her brother...lol, I just hope when she's older she dosen't look like a boy...lmao, but they r both their fathers children, all they got from me was the chin, dimole and Katelyn got my nose, but the poor little buggers defintly got their dads hair, 4 crowns that go in different directions. But ure little man is gorgeous, especially in his red jacket...so cute!!!! So is the constarch working? It should do, it dosen't have all that added crap to it, just plain old cooking stuff...lol. Ohh well I better go and get into my nice cosy warm bed that has my name on it. Hopw to hear from u soon, take care.

Bek 30 - Tuesday, 5 Feb
I think it may be the same as constarch.... I'm no good in the kitchen so I don't really know what constarch is... but I have a baby powder her with constarch in it and the texture feels the same as cornflour if that helps...lol. And the other mum's r right, take the nappy off for a while throughout the day, I do it every nappy change or if she is really pissed off, and I leave her like that for 30mins or longer and she has never had nappy rash ( now that I have said that, she will get it...lol), I just lay a towel under her... I learnt the hard way....lol, number 1's r ok, but number 2's r really hard to clean up off the floor.... hehehe, i swear my little girl will grow up not wanting to wear cloths, but who cares, I live in the bush and it suited me fine for 9 yrs...hahaha. Well I had better go, nearly bottle time, hope all works fine with u guys, let me know if it clears up bubs bum.

Bek 30 - Tuesday, 5 Feb
cornflour will not irritate the area as it is all natural, it's all the other powders and creams that do the iiritating as they have all different kinds of stuff in them. When my mum first told me about cornflour I laughed my ass off at her thinking she knew nothing ( of course), but then I thought I had nothing to lose so I tried it, and it actually worked. When I talked to my dr he agrees with my mum as it is all natural and dosen't irritate at all

Sunny1 - Monday, 4 Feb
Hi, thanks for info. I am dreading her getting shots, but I know she has to get them, so hopefully it will all go good. I just hope she doesn't have any bad side effects.
Hope all is going great for you and your family.

Bek 30 - Monday, 4 Feb
Hi How r u? Don't use wet wipes, use a warm damp face cloth on ure baby, then put cornflour on the area. Worked a treat for my son 7 yrs ago and it's all natural. It should defintly work. Good luck with it.
