Hello everyone! I'm Siranee. My husband Bill and I are expecting our 3rd child. We already have 2 girls, Gabriella age 6, and Genevieve, almost 1 (as of mid-March 08). We wanted a third but weren't expecting it to happen this soon. Gennie's first year has gone by in a minute so it seems like I JUST had her! Plus, I'm still nursing her, so I still feel consumed by her new-baby-ness. But still, what a pleasant surprise!

We're hoping for another girl, but we'll be happy either way. It'll be a surprise at the delivery, just like the first two were. So no peeking! =) Hoping to go all-natural again this time, we'll have to see how it goes.

Week 6 March 16: Weight is the same, feeling slightly dizzy, no morning sickness yet. But I'm very very fatigued! 3-hour naps every day!

Week 7 March 23: Had first OB appt, saw baby's HB on the ultrasound. Have to go back for another US next week to rule out twins, my OB saw 2 sacs, but said the first US was too early to confirm one way or the other. Weight is the same, still slightly queasy, thankfully no morning sickness yet.

Week 8 March 30: We had Gennie's 1st Birthday party yesterday. We chose to announce our pregnancy at the party since our family and closest friends were all together; I'm so glad everyone knows now! It was so hard having to keep it a secret for a whole month! I kept wanting to tell my parents and our friends, but we wanted everyone together and tell them all in person instead of on the phone. Gabbie had fun swimming with her friends, and Gennie had a good time with her bday cake, so all-in-all, it was a good party. It went really well, but I'm exhausted! Also, I had my 2nd US, no twins =( just a single tenant. I'm disappointed, my hubby is greatly relieved. I've gained 2 lbs so far, but not sure if it's accurate as I am very bloated today (party food!). Still slightly queasy, thankfully no morning sickness yet.

In regards to your post on my poll... My doctor only delivers at the one hospital and it is by far the best hospital within a hundred miles of my home. So I have to have the planned c-section. To tell you the truth I am not that upset about it anymore either. The reason for my first born's emergency c-section was because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and showing fetal distress on the monitors. When the dr. finally cut him out of me, my son was not breathing, no pulse, dead. Thankfully he was resuscitated fairly quickly and shows no signs of brain damage (he is 4 now and he is the brightest child in his pre-K class). So as you can see it was a very traumatic experience for me and I am not sure that I want to risk that happening again.
