Well I see how everyone keeps daily, weekly, or and ever so often journal, so I have decided to do the same. I am waiting for my 16 week check up which is tomorrow to see how my twins are doing. But it seems to be taken forever to come. Every time I go for my appointments I get an ultrasound done, for the fact that I am having twins. They got to make sure that they are growing at the same rate and measure the same. So I really love that because I get to see my precious babies every visit. I am hoping that they will be able to tell me what I am having. I really think that I am having a boy and a girl. I already have 2 daughters from a previous relationship many, many years ago. My last doctor visit was on April 4^tth , I was 12 weeks 2 days, and I got a scare at that visit, because when they were doing the sonogram on my belly, they were only finding one baby, but seen 2 sacs. So I started to worry as she looked and looked for my other baby with no success, so I though I had what they called disappearing twin, which is up to a certain twin in the early pregnancy stages one of the twins can just disappear. So she went on to perform a vaginal sonogram, and there was the other baby being shy hiding behind the other baby… Boy was I relieved. But I saw both babies and they were really active, kicking around …… I have been able to feel the babies move and kick since 12 weeks 1 day. Which I must say is a relieve also. I just can’t wait for there father to be able to also feel them move. It will make is so much more real for him. We both think we are having a boy and a girl. We have picked there names already, for our son it will be Mazon Jermaine Smith, and for our daughter it is Shaniya Shaquette Smith. Well I will end this for now but I will be back on tomorrow to update about my appointment and hopefully I will know for a fact I am having a boy and a girl. If not I will have to wait until my next schedule sonogram on May 29, 2007……..

Well Today is my 16 week check up and sonogram. I hope to find out what my babies are. I can’t wait for my appointment, but I am also scared for it. This pregnancy is scary for me, because my last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, so I am always worried that it will happen again. I am scared I will be getting’ my sonogram and they will not be able to find a heart beat in my babies. So I pray and I pray that everything is fine and my babies are healthy. I know I got to think positive, but after that miscarriage it has put fear in me. I really never though it could happen to me, I was never scared during any of my other pregnancy, until that miscarriage. I will update later today after my appointment. Pray for my babies and I…….

May 3, 2007 16weeks 3 days

Ok my doctor’s appointment went great. The babies are fine and look good. I got to both of them, but we were not able to see what they were. They were both sleeping of course. So all you seen was there side profile, so one head is on my right side and the other head is on my left side, and there feet are in the middle of my belly, so they are playing footies with each other. I have noticed that they sleep most of the day and they are up playing at night with each other. Last night I could hardly sleep (so I am paying for it now at work) but while I was up lying in bed I could just feel them moving all night long. I have another sonogram on May 29, and that is also my next check up, but since I can not wait that long anymore to find out what I am having I am going to call today to schedule me for a 4D sonogram next week. That will be my mother’s day present for me….. I can’t wait to find out what my babies are and then I can start shopping for them. I am going to start buying diapers now, because twins are going to go threw a lot of diapers…. But I am happy and relieved that my babies are doing great and that I was able to see them and there heart beats..... I can not wait for them to get here and I can finally hold them..... At my appointment I had a 1 hour glucose test done, and the afp blood test done.... so got to see what the doctor says when the results come back.

My doctor just called and she said that the glucose test came back high so now I have to go in saturday morning and do the 3 hour glucose test. I pray I do not get Gestational diabetes, but my father has diabetes and my mom is borderline diabetic. So it makes my chances higher of getting. I will keep everyone posted on the results of the 3 hour glucose test, but I won't know results til next week. I also called and scheduled my 4d sonogram for next friday May 11 @ 7pm, this way he is off of work and he is there with me to see it. He has not seen the babies but in our first sonogram pics....... so I can't wait for next friday to come... i already know that it is gonna take forever to get here............

May 7th, 2007 17weeks

Well I don't feel to good today. I just wish I could have stayed home in bed instead of comming to work. I am really tired, I have a headache, just took some more tylenol which don't work for nothing. Then it is very hot today in San Diego, so I know we are going to have a really hot summer again, which mean I am going to be 10 times hotter then everyone else. Thank god I have a pool, I plan on being in the pool alot to help carry the weight for a bit, and to get sum cool relaxing time to myself..... I also plan to go to da beach alot, cuz it is my favorite place to go..... it is so relaxing and so beautiful, and to walk on it when the sun is setting is so nice..... plus my daughters love it. 4 more days til I have my 4d sonogram, I can't wait for this week to pass, I really wanna know what i am having.... but I know the week is gonna go slow... I have to try n not think about it, but that is hard to do.... Well I guess I will end this for today.... I will b on again in the next few days to update more......

Well time for me to update everyone. Well friday I went to do that 4D sonogram and I must say that I will never do that again. I had a horrible experience there. So here is ther story on what happened there. So I go in and lay on the table and then she lubes my belly up, gets one baby on the screen and moves the thing around on my belly, and then she tells me r u sure u r pregnant with twins. I was like yes I am, she said well I only see on baby, and not the other one and I am looking all over, I said I have had 4 sonograms and everytime I have seen my 2 babies, then she asked when was the last time I seen them, and I told her on May 2nd for my doc appointment, and then once again she was like n u saw 2 babies. I said yes. So then she prceded to look around and she says she see's where the other baby should be in the other sac but see's no baby, I was like well maybe my baby is just hiding behind my other baby, she said no I that she would see limbs. So she is like I don't know what happened to your other baby, and so she is starting to scare me, but then I was also thinkin' she don't know what the hell she is talking about, a baby is not just gonna disappear at 17 weeks n 5 days. So she starts to freak out and was like you need to go to the hospital now, and so I started to freak out that maybe there was something wrong with one of my babies. The one we did see she said was a girl, but I don't see how she can tell when she only took pics of my babies back n spine. So needless to say i got up got my money back and went to the hospital, and they told me that they were fine, that there is no way that a baby can just disappear, no matter what there is 2 babies still in me. They got out the doppler n u heard there heartbeats and they were strong as ever and I felt so much better and I was upset that I had to go threw that, but I was happy that my babies were fine. So the nurse told me those places are just there to make money of pregnant people. They are not doctors or nurses, they are just sonogram techs, and you can find them anywhere including the mall. So they said it is just better to wait til i go to my level 2 sonogram appoinment on May 29th to get to know what I am havin'..... So lesson learned is that I am going to wait for my doc appointment and for them to tell me whats up. Rite now I am at work with another headache... I swear I had at least one headache a day.... I don't ever remember havin' this many with my other pregnancies. But no pregnancy is the same..... I just want to go home n go to sleep, but have to much to do. Work is gettin' stressful now because it is the end of the fiscal year here next month so I have so many deadlines and reports due, and it is starting to drive me crazy. I really need a vacation, but the only vacation I will b taking is gonna be my maternity leave..... I just want to sleep in...... well I will update again in a few days.....

May 30, 2007 20 Weeks 2 Days

Ok so I had my sonogram yesterday.... One of my babies died. They don't know why he died yet. They won't know til I deliver. They are sending me to a hig risk doctor and to a high risk sonogram teach. They did noticed that I had a blood clot by the babies sac. I am dealing with it in my own way, but I know I can not stress myself out about it cuz my other baby needs me to be fine and in good health...... I am very sad, as I was so set on having my twins, but I know things happen for a reason. My other baby is a healthy baby girl and she is perfect. She weighs 14oz and measures in at 20 n 6 days. She does have her dady's lips. Her name is Shaniya Shaquette Smith..... She was active the whole time, she was kicking and turning and hiding herself. Thank god the first picture we got was of her her bottom up so we knew rite away that she was a girl, after that pic she was not trying to show us anymore. She was waving at us, and then she would hid again.... she would turn n put her back to us..... when they were trying to see her heart she would turn her back to us and they had to have me turn on both my sides and then they would start pushing on my belly to get her to move, and she would just kick but not turn.... so I had to get up and walk around.... I do have pics and once I get them on the computer I will post them........ We have also decided to try again for another baby when Shaniya is about 1 1/2 years old..... Give my body time to rest then do it all over again....... Now I have 3 daughters...... house full of girls...... time to shop for pink...... All my test results came back neg.... so that is also a good thang, and was good to hear yesterday...... It is so hard to be here at work 2day cuz everyone is asking what happened.... My friend told them all yesterday so that they would not be asking me anythang 2day, but everyone wants to know what happen.....I know they all mean well but it is hard to talk about..... I did not want to have to cry here, but it is hard...........

June 4, 2007 21 weeks

Hello ladies and lil babies.... well I am doing better now. I do have an appointment on Wednesday with the perinatal doctor and with the perinatal sonogram tech to see what is going on and to make sure that everythang else is fine with Shaniya. Shaniya is very active now, I feel her movin' around n kickin' threw out the day especially in the morning and nite hen I am laying in bed. She is on my left side the most, so when I am layin' on my left side and I am a lil on my tummy she really starts kicking and pushing like telling me not to lay on my belly..... I also noticed that when music is played loud she gets active. Well I finally made it to 21 weeks, seems like it took 4ever to get here but still got awhile to go still before I get to see my baby girl. My friend and I went to go register me at Babies R Us yesterday... there is so many cute thangs for baby girls... I still don't know how I am going to decorate her room, so many different ones to choose from it was hard, so I left that off da registery for now. I am havin' 2 baby showers, one at work and one with all my friends n family that my friend Elizabeth and her mom with be throwing.....Looking forward to that.... well nothing else to update on... I will update again after my Perinatal visit on wednesday....... Hugs n belly rubs to all......

Well Daddy was finally able to feel Shaniya kicking n movin' last nite.... he said that it felt like a heart beat....... it took awhile for him to finally feel, it seemed everytime he tried to feel her move or kick she would stop and as soon as his hand was off of my belly she would start up again...... she has been very active 2day, she has been kickin' up a storm, she is very low in my belly so it feels like she is gonna kick her way out of me...... I can not wait for her to get here..... she is gonna be so spoiled... especially from her daddy... she gonna have him wrapped around her lil finger..... to cute..... he can't wait for his lil girl to get here..... that all he has been talking about..... he is also talking about havin' another one not to long after Shaniya comes to give her a lil brother...... wow to go threw it again.... so soon.... but I ain't gettin' any younger so mite as well...... I hope everyone else is doin' good.... Hugs n belly rubs to all.......
