I am Active Duty Air Force
I work as a Weather Forecaster in England right now
I have one daughter already, she's 4.
I'm married to an Active Duty Air Force Security Forces individual
Our 5 year wedding anniversary was this July

3/10- Just got back from a weekend in Paris, it was amazing, let myself have a glass of wine with dinner both nights and I had a cappucino and frappucino saturday but I'm not worried. I had loads of caffeine throughout my last pregnancy and she turned out just great! So this one will be fine as well. And as much as this one has been kicking lately I think he liked it!
I'm getting my ultrasound next week since hubby might be leaving before the other one was scheduled so I'm thrilled about that, so I should know next week!! If not I guess I'll just have to pay for a 3d one, but I'm not too concerned, baby has been kicking so don't think he's very shy! Oh yeah and I believe in power of positive thinking, hence I call him a he, while my hubby tries to make me say it, but I refuse!

03/17- Working the night shift this week, as the hubby gets ready to deploy, who thinks of this shit really! Nothing like letting a pregnant woman spend nightime with her husband when he's about to leave for 6 months, that's just crazy talk! Damn Idiots all of them!
On a plus side I have my ultrasound this week so we should hopefully be able to tell what we are having!! That makes me happy, and anxious, I really want a boy sometimes but others I'm ok with a girl, either way as long as it's healthy then it doesn't really matter too much to me in the long run.
We've already got the crib so that can be put up tomorrow so I don't have to worry about messing it up while the hubby is gone, that's what guys are for right, mowing the lawn, putting things together and making babies!! :-)

03/18- I am so hating my boss right now, I mean who seriously puts a woman on the night shift when her hubby is leaving for 6 mths that week, come on! And then has the audacity to pick apart little things that are done wrong when no information is done on how to do them, it's called taking some responsibility try it sometime! So hubby is leaving in like 26 hrs and I'll be at work for about 12 of them, sleeping for like 8 of the other ones and get to spend about 6 hrs with him, part of which he'll be putting together the crib for me so I won't have to do it later on. I feel justified in being cranky but I don't think others get it...idiots!

03/19- It's a boy!!! I'm so excited the technician said we are having a boy, 95% sure as they can never be 100% ya know but still I was so excited to hear that!! Yeah now I can finish my baby registry, woo hoo!!! This almost makes up for the fact hubby is gone now, almost...

August 24th~ Have to head back to work on tuesday and I don't want to!! Not because I can't leave my baby, that's never really bothered me too much, but because hubby is not home and this is just going to be one hell of a month before he gets home and I don't want to have to deal with it. Too bad I can't call in sick for the next month right!!!

August 27th~ Well had to be in the hospital for a few days so my milk supply has gone down so that sucks so now I gotta work on that one, and my lil man started smiling yesterday! He's getting so big aww!! But I don't have to go back to work just yet either so that's pretty decent too! But off to pump and nap, yea!

Also on the getting out hing, there was a study, if you get out b4 10 yrs, you have a 50/50 shot of making more money than if you stayed in, if your in over 10 and get out you only have a 10% chance of doing as well as if you stayed in. I figure, at the end of this enlistment he will have done eight, and and I will have done 6 1/2. So he is cutting it a bit close, at least he has a job that translates into a civilian career, I looked it up online, and if we could travel to where his jobs are, there are alot of ppl wanting to hire aircraft structural maintainers. The problem is with me staying in, what are the chances he can get a job where I am stationed? Grr... Kids makes this harder, as we cannot take the risks we might have if we didn't have to worry about supporting our daughter, but I still wouldn't give her up for the world!

Hey yea, I was an Intelligence Analyst. My husband’s the same but he got commissioned a few years ago, so now he’s an Intelligence Officer.

If you’re thinking about commissioning here’s some insight (me observing my hubby go through it)… it’s the rank adjustment, more than anything, that takes some getting used to. When you’re enlisted you could be SSgt, TSgt, NCOIC of the shop, NCO of the year, blah blah blah. But as soon as you cross over and slap on that butter bar you’re back to the bottom of the totem pole and prone to being judged as just another dumb LT. But it doesn’t last long, eventually people realize you’re prior-enlisted so therefore you have a clue. And when ya pin on Capt… nobody cares. LoL. I would say, if you’re gonna do it, do it asap and while you’re young. Hubby was a TSgt when he got accepted to OTS so that meant he was the “old guy” in a sea of “college babies”. And pick the same career… if you like being a Weather troop then apply for Weather Officer so you stay in your comfort zone, assuming your degree is in Weather/Meteorology. To be honest I was skeptical at first when he said he wanted to cross over. I’ve never wanted to be an officer’s wife… ew! Hell no, I wanted to be a Chief’s wife!!! HaHaHa.LoL. But he did this for our family’s future so I wouldn’t change a thing. In the long run, its definitely worth it. But me, if my dumbass hadn't gotten out, I would've been very much content staying enlisted!
Hey, you’re at Lakenheath/Mildenhall, right? That’s where I wanna go next!! How do ya like it there??

That's great that you got all that stuff for free or good prices. None of our families live near us either, but they all sent items either through the mail or called Babies R US and ordered it directly then my Mom picked it up and wrapped it.

I know you're getting excited to have another one. I can't wait to meet my little guy.

Hi, My shower went really well, thanks. I received great presents, all the big stuff except a swing. My parents bought the crib and my husbands bought the changing table/dresser combo. Then lots of all the other stuff like clothes, bib, blankets, etc.

And, the baseball theme food went over really well. Everyone enjoyed it. We had hot dogs, smoked sausage, grilled onions/peppers, sauerkraut, nachos/cheese, popcorn and fruit shish-ka-bobs (yummy).

How are you?

rookie - Saturday, 31 May
Thanks for the comment on the baseball shower. And we're really not that creative. We just see things we like and think, "we can make that much cheaper". LOL I love, love the idea of an English tea party. It sounds like so much fun!!!

Hey girl, So the swelling has gone down, but I've had a pretty easy week! I think it's when I stand all day, we have ceramic tile thru out our house and I don't think that helps I need to wear slippers or tennies all the time. I can't believe nine more weeks, flying by! I'm feeling a little more confident bout delivery. I'm so ready to be a mommy that I think I will just be ready to go thru ANYTHING. My bestie and her baby, Ainsley are doing great, she was in the same boat as u with getting induced with her first. But she said the actual going into labor on your own was actually easier for her, and u will just know when your having contractions the real ones hurt too bad and do not pass with movement! Hope your mom gets to come over, that would be a huge help! how is the weather there? I feel like I can't handle the heat and KC gets so so so hot in the summer, the dogs need exercise so I'm forced to go on walks with them, but the heat is killing me, and I'm a sun goddess!!!! Let's just cross our fingers that either of us goes past our due dates, and If I were that women on here I would be throwin a fit, 2 weeks too long, that Dr. must be a man, lol. That is really really hard on mama!!!
well, have a good weekend too.
oh yah, have you felt your baby's bum alot lately? Kori will stick hers out where you can see it in my belly and it hurts!!!!

Milmom2be - Wednesday, 28 May
Lol, lil girl has a schedule, involves not sleeping at night! Good luck talking to the docs about an induction, I think alot will depend on who you see. And definately play up the fact that you will have no help what-so-ever aroubd the house with your 4 yr old if they won't give you an induction date. Maybe they will sympathize!

izziebo - Tuesday, 27 May

bambina2come - Saturday, 24 May
Hey glad to hear Maddi's b'day went well. I think that is so cute how she wants him to be little, ;) I feel ya at the beginning of my pregnancy all I wanted was for it to be over and now that there are only two months left I'm almost in panic mode. Mostly about labor think that's cuz it's my first. I haven't gone to any birthing classes, but I have been reading and watching lots of live births....still a little worried it's just so "weird" to me. Not trying to sound stupid but it all just blows my mind!!!! I'm sure everything will be fine and I am going to get an epidural. I'm just scared ha ha.

Ok so I haven't swelled at all yet and now my left foot has been swollen for three days and this morning I woke up and I can bearly bend my toes now,,,,oooouuuucchhhhh I guess my left side is bigger, lol.

My best friend had pre eclampsia and was induced with her first, now she's sitting here 4 days past her DD with her second so let's wish her luck right now!!!!!!! She gets induced tues. if no baby yet! I hope my dr. will induce me if I am 4 days past DD!! that would be so uncomfortable!

Well have a safe and lovely Memorial Day weekend!!! xoxo

jewlo - Saturday, 24 May
Yea My husband has been gone since Oct 07' and wont' be back til Sept/ Oct 08'.. This is his 3rd tour. Same as me the baby will be born while he is deployed. Depending on when she is born she will be 2-3 months old. Being Pregnant takes forever lol.. My husband is also getting a Vasectomy. Two kids are enough. I never signed up to be a single mother (although pay comes in lol)... they have already told him that he will be leave in Sept 09' for his 4th deployment ugh.. How can they do that? Maybe with the president changing something with happen? But who knows. How is your 4 year old taking the news of the new baby? I think my daughter is a bit jealous but not overly. I still treat her like a princess and tell her everyday she is going to be the best big sister ever.. She is always talking about helping when the baby comes. How is your pregnancy going?

bambina2come - Friday, 23 May
Hey I'm antsy pantsy, I honostly don't see how women love to be preggo. Yes, I have had some amazing experiences thru out and an amazing bond, but everything that comes with it is just too much for me. Can't wait to meet her. So is your daughter ready to be a big sis?? I imagine she can't wait! I remember when my mom had my lil bro, what a special time!! Good luck on the birthday party.....R there going to be lil kids everywhere? I'm glad you had your last night shift I can only imagine how tiring that can be, I can barely keep my eyes open all day!!! So why did you get induced at 38 wks with your daughter? Just wondering. It's crappy here in KC, hopefully it will clear up for memorial day weekend, even tho we don't have any big plans it would still be nice to sit outside :) have a good weekend!

izziebo - Friday, 23 May

Hey how ru??? Everything is going good here and we just can't wait for her to arrive! Jeff's knee is getting better, and I can't wait for him to heal 100% Next time I'm preggo if there is a next time I will be sure to get extra pampered! I feel ya on wanting your body back, I feel like I'm huge and it's getting harder to do everything!! Oh yah and I don't like mirrors either! lol. just to think we have 2 mnths left, that's crazy! socalgal - Thursday, 22 May
Hi there! Thanks for the note. I'm feeling really good--just a little impatient and frustrated that baby hasn't seen fit to make her debut yet--especially after being on bedrest for so long. Hopefully, she will come soon so my doc won't make me induce.

How are you doing?
