sunnshine - Sunday, 13 July
Shower went well. Not many people showed up, but for those that did, we had a good time. Got some blankets, onesies, diapers, wipes, booties, etc. Also got a couple baby bottles that are winnie the pooh, which are cute, but I won't be using them since I am using the others. Not sure what to do with those. Also got a diaper genie refill, which is great because I will definitely need plenty of those :)

I need to get some liners for the bottles...my mom has to have bought about 20+ bottles so far. Haha! I don't think he's going to need that many, but I guess it's worth it to keep them around if needed later. I bought some nipples last night because the nurser set I got only has one slow flow nipple in it. That's definitely not enough. We've got pretty much everything we need, except the basic necessities. All his big stuff we have already (swing, bouncer, etc.) but we'll need the every day things. I'll get that as I go along now. I can't believe it's getting so close, but I'm starting to feel a little bit more ready. Still worry that there's something I'm going to forget, though!

I was wondering about that. That's why I chose the drop-ins...I figured they would be easier to clean and more sanitary since the liners are disposable. Not to mention it's easy to get the air out so his tummy doesn't get all upset from air bubbles. I cleand up his room last night and put all his clothes away. Hubby has to clean up the changing table, then can start putting diapers and wipes away. Had one baby shower yesterday and another today...didn't realize how exhausting they are though!

I'm using drop-in's too, so thanks for the info I'll research how long to boil the bottles.

OMG lol. I was talking to my sister yesterday and was telling her that I didnt have a coming home outfit for the baby...I wanted something pink and although I have TONS of pink stuff...nothing sticks out to me except this little onesie I got at old navy thats white with green trim and little turtles on it and I have matching turtle socks...and for some reason I cant change my mind about it!!! I finally put it in her bag last night but I have to take it out and wash it so it will shrink a little bit..my sister thinks the baby is going to be a little smaller...im sure she will be the same size as my son..he was 7lbs 15oz when he was born..lol about the size of yours now :)I'll start getting my pelvic exams at my next appt in two weeks...Im not looking forward to that really. I still have a million things to do and im sitting here debating on wether I want to eat again (I just had eggs) lmao...

So my fluid levels went up from an 8 to 12.5 so I guess im not having any leakage. My doc has decided right now hes not going to induce me..unless my cervix is dilating or whatever...he wasnt making any sense LOL. Ive been dilated to 1cm and 50% effaced for like a month and with my son I was dilated to 1cm for two months so yea you can be but it sucks cause your like "dang I thought something was happening LOL" I finally finished getting the rest of the things I needed for the baby and only went over budget by $10 im all happy now and her room is finally done...furniture wise :) I just have to find some more things to hang on the walls. yay

Hi there, Snuggles! I just wanted to say that I am so sorry that you've had so many pains and concerns lately. It really seems like you're going through a lot. Did you ever find out what caused the bleeding--was it the strep test? It must be a nice consolation to have gotten reassurance about Gavin. HEY, I heard a news story which made me think of you! There's been a big breakthrough with MS! Scientists have just identified a second gene that's associated with it, and now there's a lot of optimism that it can help them zero in on the cure! I would love to see that happen. I know several dear people who have it. When I was a kid, I used to do the MS Read-a-thon every year and collect money. I had no idea at the time what it really was--it just seemed worthwhile to raise money for it and besides, I've always loved to read. Anyway, I hope you are feeling more relaxed now.

He's not even going to deliver me,some doctor that I have never even seen is going to. My hospital is an hour away and they want me to go see that doc for an induction date. At this point im not picky about who delivers because I havent formed a close bond with my doc or anything but they were like you have to go out there at least 4times before you can get induced and I was like its a little late now huh,so ur telling me I have to drive an hour there and back once every week for the next 4weeks?...not happening ..gas is too high to do that and im already stressed about money LOL. So if I end up having the baby at this other hospital my insurance will just have to suck it up and pay it..what do they want me to do..hold the baby in there and tell her to hold on we have to do what the insurance wants us to and drive all the way to memphis? LOL ya right they are stupid. I still havent gotten in the shower..I was playing a game..but im going now :O)
