WE DID IT! I AM PREGNANT! BFP ON 12-3-07!!(cd32)

Studying HYPNOBIRTHING!!

100% Organic, ALL NATURAL!!

IT'S A BOY!

8 weeks: First few weeks were a cake walk compared to now. I felt nausea at first. Then week 6 came and I have been throwing up since, twice a day, everyday.

9Weeks: I ended up in the E.R. for a few hours to push fluids. I threw up for days in row and couldn't "catch up" with my fluids and nutrients, so my doc sent me to the er for an IV. They also gave me some Zolfran for my nausea. I felt great for a few days, had energy, color came back to my face. For a few days atleast. Now.... back to puking everyday.

10-11 weeks~ I have had a rough couple of weeks. I have had to call off work a few days due to vomitting. Smells get to me. Sleep paterns are wacked. (1-21-08) I just got out of the hospital for IV fluids again. I have been throwing up for days on end. I was just diognosed with Hyperemesis gravidarum or HG. Which means i have an excess of estrogen in my system and it makes me throw up EXCESSIVELY. So now that i know it is not in my head....lol..... I can start treatment. Hopefully I will not have this the whole pregnancy.

11 weeks~ After getting back from the ER for fluids i started to bleed. I felt a big gush and went running for the bathroom. FREAKED me out! I call my doctor, he's outof town. So they paged the doctor on call. I had not heard back from anyone so i called again an hour later, paged him again. Another gush of blood... SHIT! I go to the ER. They admitt me fairly quickly and they do an US. The baby seemed fine. It was moving around kicking and swimming and looked like it was rubbing it's eyes, heartrate was 169. They saw bleeding behind the placenta. This can go either way the doc said. You could loose the baby or the placenta will reattach itself. I went home confined to bed rest for the next few days. 1-23-08.... I woke up this morning and felt great, weird because i am ususally puking due to my HG. I got ready for my doc apt when i felt another gush coming... I pasted a clot the size of my fist. It scared me. We left immeadiately for the doctor office. First thing he did was locate the baby's heartbeat. the heart was beating at 156. He thinks the blood is draining from behind the placenta and it most likely will be ok, but i am having a lot of complications. They did my hcg's and they were way high, so no concern there. He has asked my to come in next week for another fetal heartrate check, and has confined me to bedrest for two weeks, no sex, no heavy lifting and as long as I dont have cramps, a fever, and major bleeding with clots, the baby should be fine. HOLY SHIT, what tough week.

12-13 weeks~ We heard the heartbeat again! I feel much better. Weird...suddenly...poof... I'm better. I am thankful that I am still pregnant, I know it could have been much worse. I feel bloated, constipated and a tad bit more energy. Basically I feel fat and happy, most of the time. Back to work. Anxious for my next apt. I want to hear the heartbeat again and excited for the next US to know everything is okay. I had to take alot of meds there for a lil while. Hope that everything is OK!

14-15 Weeks~~ I have been feeling much better, except for a cold. Nausea is still there but not nearly as much. I might puke once a week now. I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight, throwing up so much took its toll. Heard the heartbeat today, so did my son, he thought it sounded like a dog barking in the distance. Scheduled an US for 19-20 weeks. Hubby and i are not sure we want to know the sex. I HATE surprises, no not hate, just cant handle them. Doc wants me to get the Quad test. I do not know if i want to get it. I understand the premise but if they can find any abnormalities in an u/s then why take this test? I feel it may stress me out waiting and then to find out there is a chance of false positives. My stress level would go thru the roof. If there is something wrong with the baby then God inteded it. Maybe I am putting way to much thought into it??

16-19 weeks~ Everything has been going great. I am getting my energy back and I have stopped puking. I started water aerobics, that's fun and found out we are having a BOY. I will have two sons. I am switching doctors. I am switching hospitals too. The new one is 25-30 mins. away. They (my doc and the hospital) have a better VBAC policy. My previuos doc/hospt want me to have c-section at 39 weeks, they will let me trial a vbac only if I go into labor early. What's up with that? I get the risks, I understand their concerns, but that is f-@#$&% rediculous. The more research I do, the more educated I become on birth, the more pissed off and determined to have this baby naturally. I have been reading about Yoga, Hyponobirthing, Deep Relaxation, pain free birth, Birthing positions, and Optimal Feotal Positioning. Amazing stuff. I found out that women in other countries often have pain free births. WHY because they were never taught that having a baby is such a painful thing, it is Natural. They breath tru contractions and continue working. When it time to push, they typically squat and give birth. No drama, no tubes, no pain. AMAZING. I want that, I believe it is true. What do you think?

20-24 weeks~ Wow, time is flying by quickly. We know it's a boy. Everything is going well. I have been pretty sore in my Pelvic Floor area. Bought an excersize ball. Love It! Moving to a bigger house, which is fun and daunting at the same time. We have our names picked out, NOT TELLING THO. We are going to wait and see our lil bundle and decide which name suits him best. Besides, everyone seems to give me their opinion about what to name him and umm... HE'S MINE! So my lips are sealed! Doctors appointment are going well. I have gained a 18 lbs totoal so far (all in my face). Lil what's his name moves around alot... pretty cool.!

Greetings! I'm Sara and my husband and I are TTC our 2nd child. I have an 8 yo boy who is excited to be a big brother. He does not know all the details but we told him we would like to have a stork drop off a baby soon, we were on the waiting list and we'll know soon when the baby will be arriving. He thinks that is cool and asks a couple times a week if we have heard from the stork yet... Funny kid!

This is month/cycle # 6-8th or so we have been actively trying. I came off BC in Dec/January and have not had a regular period since. They go from 47- 28 days, feel like my average is about 32 days.I started off chatring everything, but have found that it really gets me to excited about the possibilites and only to start my period again. Then I am heartbroken for weeks until, I think I'm OVULATING... Vicious cycle really.!!

I feel trying to concieve is HARDER then just an unexpected surprise. So I have trown out all the expensive devices that predict ovulation and I am giving it up to the ANGELS.When they feel it is right for me, then it will happen.

All the while it is always on my mind and I am playing head games with myself...full denial. The mind is very powerful...Each and every month I am convinced i am pregnant until......AF

PATIENCE and BABY DUST!!!

So if you read this and you are some Doctor with great advise, bring it on!! I'm all ears.If you are trying too, good luck and let me know how it goes.If you are already preggars...... CONGRATS!! Now come rub your belly on mine and let's get this party started!!!

BLESSINGS TO ALL!!

LOVE AND LIGHT!

October 2nd, She came again. I keep thinking my schedule is getting normal....and.... no wait it's not. Kinda gonna stop TTC for a lil while. I cant' take it. To hard to deal with. We have been trying now since January.

November 2nd~ What a surprise! AF was early! huh? 31 day cycle? wow.. um is this the begining of normalcy.

So these are my cycles since Feb-07~~ Came of "the ring" after 4-5 months of use in Jan-07 started TTC; (previous to that was an IUD for 7 years.) Cycles have been as follows 47, 32, 37, 33, 42, 34, and now 31 days. So phunky.

December 3rd~ CD 32 and no AF. I am terribly moody, crampy and nausea. My cramps feel like when I get my Pelvic exam and they do the swab of the cervix. Sharp pain and they they go away. NOTHING like my normal period pains. My BB's hurt so bad last night after my soccer game, it took like three hours for my nipples to not be hard anymore, I have a whole new respect for guys and blue balls. My nipps hurt for hours. WHAT IS UP? PG??? I am so tired of testing! I refuse to buy anymore untill I am puking from morning sickness.

DECEMBER 3~ 12:27 pm I TOOK ATEST AFTER I PROMISED I WOULD WAIT TILL FRIDAY AND BFP! There were two lines! One big fat pink one and one faint but definately there. I took it to my friends to show them,a second opinion. I think we really did it this month. HOLY SHAZBOT! I'M PREGNANT!!

Thanks! I'll check it out! I've been concerned about fetal positioning a bit... I just really would like a natural birth.. and that's an important part of making that happen! ha

Thanks again :-D

For Iron deficiency there is a great Iron supplement called Floradix, see if you can get it from your health food store. It is totally safe to take during pregnancy. Good Luck

SO- Re: anemia. It's normal for women to become anemic. From the natural birth/pregnancy stuff I'm reading, it's natural. They measure your red blood cells as a percentage (36% is the lowest recommended) of your whole blood, which includes plasma. Now, add a bunch of water to this... plasma, and take the same reading and you'll get a lower level. I was at 32 at 7 wks and was 32 at 25wks. They made a big deal of it- you're anemic, Jen! Start taking pills, licking fences, cooking in iron... BALOGNA! But if you REALLY look at it as a measure of sheer #'s, I actually RAISED my iron levels (since level stayed the same, but my plasma level increased). So I will do as our wondrous leader, and stay the course! :-) I did notice craving red meat, and so I give in to it. Whereas PP (pre preg) I would have just had chix instead. Now I'm grilling up some bad A$$ beef and having OJ with it (Vit C increases absorption of iron in gut). I'd rather not stick a metal pill in my gut when there are more natural means of getting it. Esp. when you consider that you can o.d. on iron! (Iron poisoning is the #1 vitamin poisonings for children in the US... heard that somewhere and seemed quotable).

Had the same problem with the anemic test too! Sucks...do you get dizzy or headrushes ever? I wasnt taking my prenatal pills cause they made me sick, so now they are making me take them again. Hope it works, I take it at night so they dont make me sick. Good luck with everything!

It is hard i think to see a nursery ready for baby. With my first son we had every thing put together..i mean every thing clothes in dressers, crib set up, even things hanging on his bedroom walls. It was awful dusting knowing that he still wouldn't even be in his room for some time yet. I just feel a little guilty i guess. I always thought to my self that i would gradually buy things that way it wouldn't be so strenuous on our bank accounts but then again your right about the baby shower thing.. i just finished my invitations up today!
i just think wow we could have her in 12 weeks and she would be ok...she would come home with us.....crazy seems so close yet so far away. this is my third child... you would think i would have this stuff down by now...Lol.

I told ya it was good!!! How did you feel watching the scopolamine part? I nearly lost it. Shawn walked in right after I watched that part. Had to pause it and was really trying too hard to keep it together. I think one of the reasons it was so hard is that it was seriously just like my nightmares: totally powerless, restricted, and forced to do something I don't understand/don't want to do. Speaking of which, how are your dreams lately? Mine are ALL vivid or I'm dead out. Half are like watching adult videos, 40% are normal day-to-day stuff, but like I'm awake, and 10% are the most vivid horrific terrors. One of them even had smell- wasn't able to get that one out of my head (nor the smell) for a week or so. Of COURSE it involved my breast rotting, so I'm constantly palpatating it!

posted a message in the forum, but thought I'd drop it directly to my fav. conversational mommas. Here it is as posted: If anyone's interested in donating cord blood to the National Marrow Donor Program, let me know and I can hook you up with the proper forms. At this point, few hospitals do it, but many doctors are willing to do the procedure for you (especially if it's a donation, some docs will waive fees if there are normal fees for private cord blood banking). You just need to fill out a questionnaire and order the kit to bring with you to the delivery. The blood is actually drawn from the placenta and there is no risk to you or baby. I'm very excited to have a doc that's happy to do it, has never charged (private or donation), and is proud of me for looking into it. Ah... I think I'm in love with her!!!

kerry1983 - Tuesday, 6 May

Great- I'm glad to hear I'm not the only "weirdo" out there! My doula recommended, after some practice, to try to listen to Rainbow relaxation while the tv is on or w/ only one earbud instead of 2 in while commuting. She said it can increase your ability to focus on the relaxation and tune out other distraction (which will become more helpful when you're going through surges!).

goonieMomma - Thursday, 24 April
We've just started reading HypnoBirthing: The Mongan Method. I definite recommend for you, Mama!

jamie - Wednesday, 23 April
Yea, I know the feeling. I moved away to florida when I was 17 and didnt come back to Ohio untill one of my very close friends passed away, it was about 7 years later. After her loss I just freaked and couldent handle anything. I didnt have anyone there beside her and her family, and I was a total trainwreck anyway so I needed to come back here. Boy did it get worse from there!!!! but it did get better,,,and keeps getting better...i am so glad to be done with those days. Ohio still sucks though, if the winters were only about 1 month shorter i would cope much better. I get the winter blues at the end.
Were just doin whatever, trying, not trying. I coped witht the loss pretty well, i just had that feeling that it was my time for a m/c. I know that sounds crazy but I knew it was my time. We opened our own business last month and things are freggin a mess. Me and the kids never see the hubby but for once in my life we actually have a little bit of money..wow, thats different. I went on a shopping spree like I just won the lottery and blew through too much $. I even booked a trip to Orlando Fl orida to see my old friends and my friends that passed away's family. Im taking my 4 year old and were gonna go to disney. My dad is gonna watch the baby(which im nervous about) One of my old friends is getting married in Naples so were gonna drive down to see her too. I cant wait, I havent flown in 7 years(scary) but I need a change of scenery despretly. Get a digi camera girl...hehe
does your mom know what side of town shes gonna move to?

JoJoUK - Tuesday, 22 April
I spend part of the time in Tobago where my partner is from and the rest in the UK. It's so nice to have the best of both worlds. But am in the UK till after the birth as the healthcare is so much better here. We had snow here in the UK too the other day our weather is mad! Good luck to you too. x

JoJoUK - Tuesday, 22 April
Hi loved reading about your experience so far, I had some bleeding but sounds like you had a real rough time of it hope all is going smoothly now. That's what i'm hoping that hypnobirthing will help you manage the pain. I've already stopped all the horror stories from people who've given birth, i'm determined that mine is going to be a wonderful positive experience and that half of it is in the mind and the other half can be learnt by techniques. To me learning breathing techniques can only be a positive experience to deal with stressful times along the road ahead. Good luck wth your pregnancy, wishing you lots of happiness and pain free labour! x

jamie - Tuesday, 22 April
Where are some new belly pics? How are ya doing??

aadams - Sunday, 20 April
Well really my only question was about the gdiapers specifically. I am trying to find them in pink and purple and the official website was out, so I didn't know if you were aware of any other businesses that might carry the outer lining? Thanks for your time and best wishes to your wee one in the making!

aadams - Saturday, 19 April
I am looking into gdiapers and a gal gave me your name and said you were familiar with them... do you use them?
