Jetson Xander is here!

Born 8-13-08 at 9:16 am 7 lbs 6oz and 19 1/2 inches long.

"Our society has conditioned women to fear natural childbirth. We are constantly bombarded with images of laboring women screaming in agony. Years of exposure to those images can incite self-doubt in even the most determined woman."

Studying HYPNOBIRTHING and to become a certified DOULA!! if you have questions, please feel free to ask me.

100% Organic, ALL NATURAL!!

IT'S A BOY!

8 weeks: First few weeks were a cake walk compared to now. I felt nausea at first. Then week 6 came and I have been throwing up since, twice a day, everyday.

9Weeks: I ended up in the E.R. for a few hours to push fluids. I threw up for days in row and couldn't "catch up" with my fluids and nutrients, so my doc sent me to the er for an IV. They also gave me some Zolfran for my nausea. I felt great for a few days, had energy, color came back to my face. For a few days atleast. Now.... back to puking everyday.

10-11 weeks~ I have had a rough couple of weeks. I have had to call off work a few days due to vomitting. Smells get to me. Sleep paterns are wacked. (1-21-08) I just got out of the hospital for IV fluids again. I have been throwing up for days on end. I was just diognosed with Hyperemesis gravidarum or HG. Which means i have an excess of estrogen in my system and it makes me throw up EXCESSIVELY. So now that i know it is not in my head....lol..... I can start treatment. Hopefully I will not have this the whole pregnancy.

11 weeks~ After getting back from the ER for fluids i started to bleed. I felt a big gush and went running for the bathroom. FREAKED me out! I call my doctor, he's outof town. So they paged the doctor on call. I had not heard back from anyone so i called again an hour later, paged him again. Another gush of blood... SHIT! I go to the ER. They admitt me fairly quickly and they do an US. The baby seemed fine. It was moving around kicking and swimming and looked like it was rubbing it's eyes, heartrate was 169. They saw bleeding behind the placenta. This can go either way the doc said. You could loose the baby or the placenta will reattach itself. I went home confined to bed rest for the next few days. 1-23-08.... I woke up this morning and felt great, weird because i am ususally puking due to my HG. I got ready for my doc apt when i felt another gush coming... I pasted a clot the size of my fist. It scared me. We left immeadiately for the doctor office. First thing he did was locate the baby's heartbeat. the heart was beating at 156. He thinks the blood is draining from behind the placenta and it most likely will be ok, but i am having a lot of complications. They did my hcg's and they were way high, so no concern there. He has asked my to come in next week for another fetal heartrate check, and has confined me to bedrest for two weeks, no sex, no heavy lifting and as long as I dont have cramps, a fever, and major bleeding with clots, the baby should be fine. HOLY SHIT, what tough week.

12-13 weeks~ We heard the heartbeat again! I feel much better. Weird...suddenly...poof... I'm better. I am thankful that I am still pregnant, I know it could have been much worse. I feel bloated, constipated and a tad bit more energy. Basically I feel fat and happy, most of the time. Back to work. Anxious for my next apt. I want to hear the heartbeat again and excited for the next US to know everything is okay. I had to take alot of meds there for a lil while. Hope that everything is OK!

14-15 Weeks~~ I have been feeling much better, except for a cold. Nausea is still there but not nearly as much. I might puke once a week now. I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight, throwing up so much took its toll. Heard the heartbeat today, so did my son, he thought it sounded like a dog barking in the distance. Scheduled an US for 19-20 weeks. Hubby and i are not sure we want to know the sex. I HATE surprises, no not hate, just cant handle them. Doc wants me to get the Quad test. I do not know if i want to get it. I understand the premise but if they can find any abnormalities in an u/s then why take this test? I feel it may stress me out waiting and then to find out there is a chance of false positives. My stress level would go thru the roof. If there is something wrong with the baby then God inteded it. Maybe I am putting way to much thought into it??

16-19 weeks~ Everything has been going great. I am getting my energy back and I have stopped puking. I started water aerobics, that's fun and found out we are having a BOY. I will have two sons. I am switching doctors. I am switching hospitals too. The new one is 25-30 mins. away. They (my doc and the hospital) have a better VBAC policy. My previuos doc/hospt want me to have c-section at 39 weeks, they will let me trial a vbac only if I go into labor early. What's up with that? I get the risks, I understand their concerns, but that is f-@#$&% rediculous. The more research I do, the more educated I become on birth, the more pissed off and determined to have this baby naturally. I have been reading about Yoga, Hyponobirthing, Deep Relaxation, pain free birth, Birthing positions, and Optimal Feotal Positioning. Amazing stuff. I found out that women in other countries often have pain free births. WHY because they were never taught that having a baby is such a painful thing, it is Natural. They breath tru contractions and continue working. When it time to push, they typically squat and give birth. No drama, no tubes, no pain. AMAZING. I want that, I believe it is true. What do you think?

20-24 weeks~ Wow, time is flying by quickly. We know it's a boy. Everything is going well. I have been pretty sore in my Pelvic Floor area. Bought an excersize ball. Love It! Moving to a bigger house, which is fun and daunting at the same time. We have our names picked out, NOT TELLING THO. We are going to wait and see our lil bundle and decide which name suits him best. Besides, everyone seems to give me their opinion about what to name him and umm... HE'S MINE! So my lips are sealed! Doctors appointment are going well. I have gained a 18 lbs totoal so far (all in my face). Lil what's his name moves around alot... pretty cool.!

25-29 weeks~ What a ride it has been. I am will be 30 weeks tomorrow.... I found a Doula, she rocks! Bought our first baby item, the crib, we had to rearrange our room 4x to find the right "Flow" or Fung Shwei. I am Anemic, low Iron, so I'm on some good supplements, no vitamins here. I am eating really healthy, lots of dark green leafies with juice to drink. Total weight gain now is 25 lbs. I can't see my feet and lil man moves around all the time! He recognizes voices and moves when new people come into the room, I have also felt his hiccups. Done moving now, I have a sewing room again, yeah! I have started to make baby items for my business. I am sewing my own All in One Cloth Diapers. I will end up putting them on my website once I have enough made. Things are going well, I feel great, plump but great.

Greetings! I'm Sara and my husband and I are TTC our 2nd child. I have an 8 yo boy who is excited to be a big brother. He does not know all the details but we told him we would like to have a stork drop off a baby soon, we were on the waiting list and we'll know soon when the baby will be arriving. He thinks that is cool and asks a couple times a week if we have heard from the stork yet... Funny kid!

This is month/cycle # 6-8th or so we have been actively trying. I came off BC in Dec/January and have not had a regular period since. They go from 47- 28 days, feel like my average is about 32 days.I started off chatring everything, but have found that it really gets me to excited about the possibilites and only to start my period again. Then I am heartbroken for weeks until, I think I'm OVULATING... Vicious cycle really.!!

I feel trying to concieve is HARDER then just an unexpected surprise. So I have trown out all the expensive devices that predict ovulation and I am giving it up to the ANGELS.When they feel it is right for me, then it will happen.

All the while it is always on my mind and I am playing head games with myself...full denial. The mind is very powerful...Each and every month I am convinced i am pregnant until......AF

PATIENCE and BABY DUST!!!

So if you read this and you are some Doctor with great advise, bring it on!! I'm all ears.If you are trying too, good luck and let me know how it goes.If you are already preggars...... CONGRATS!! Now come rub your belly on mine and let's get this party started!!!

BLESSINGS TO ALL!!

LOVE AND LIGHT!

October 2nd, She came again. I keep thinking my schedule is getting normal....and.... no wait it's not. Kinda gonna stop TTC for a lil while. I cant' take it. To hard to deal with. We have been trying now since January.

November 2nd~ What a surprise! AF was early! huh? 31 day cycle? wow.. um is this the begining of normalcy.

So these are my cycles since Feb-07~~ Came of "the ring" after 4-5 months of use in Jan-07 started TTC; (previous to that was an IUD for 7 years.) Cycles have been as follows 47, 32, 37, 33, 42, 34, and now 31 days. So phunky.

December 3rd~ CD 32 and no AF. I am terribly moody, crampy and nausea. My cramps feel like when I get my Pelvic exam and they do the swab of the cervix. Sharp pain and they they go away. NOTHING like my normal period pains. My BB's hurt so bad last night after my soccer game, it took like three hours for my nipples to not be hard anymore, I have a whole new respect for guys and blue balls. My nipps hurt for hours. WHAT IS UP? PG??? I am so tired of testing! I refuse to buy anymore untill I am puking from morning sickness.

DECEMBER 3~ 12:27 pm I TOOK ATEST AFTER I PROMISED I WOULD WAIT TILL FRIDAY AND BFP! There were two lines! One big fat pink one and one faint but definately there. I took it to my friends to show them,a second opinion. I think we really did it this month. HOLY SHAZBOT! I'M PREGNANT!!

AHA, I see your tactic. Give me your number so I have to call you! Well, you'd better be ready to hit the ground running! Though I'll have to call on my bus portion of my commute as my cell doesn't work at home and we don't have long distance on our land line (which makes my life so much more complicated as I have to leave to call my mom... or text her and hope she can figure out where the beeping's coming from!). As far as Jet's weight, height: remember that the slowest growing trees have the best quality wood. And disregard that in every dirty sense of the word! Augustin seems to be in a race of sorts. The unofficial weigh-in yesterday was 18.6! At least Jet gets to revel in all those newborn outfits I'm sure you were inundated in... Augs grew out of his after a month and half his wardrobe is 6-12, the other half is 3-6. What a bahemoth (sp?)!

Im just really nervous cuz this is my 3rd and the hospital is so far away. Im afraid either we wont make it in time for the tub etc, I'll need a c-section....or we wont make it at all and I'll end up going to a hospital thats close. Im just a big fat chicken!! I know I cant control what happens but thinking about all the stuff that can just freakes me out. Im gonna do the midwife, Im just being paranoid. That being said, how are you??? Im so hungry I could eat a house but of course nothing tastes right so I just end up frustrated and hungry. TTL!! Ps how is your mom? Did she ever find a place?

and btw: lactic acid does not build up in milk. It's present at the same levels as in the rest of your body (like alcohol) and is worked out through time. Chances are, though, that you will not be working out hard enough for this to be a problem, as you have to get your muscles into anaerobic respiration to make this stuff potent enough to be systemic. So, unless you're running under 7 minute miles for 4-5 miles, don't worry about. Also, BFing right before a workout will help (and may be necessary to get your sportsbra to fit). Then you can work out for 30mins to 1 hour and go another hour before a feeding, plenty of time to stretch, get in a nice shower, and slam a quart of water... and process out any lactic acid you MAY have made. So work up that sweat, mama!!!

hey: have you tried this Polartec Power dry material for dipes? I've thought of getting some for liners in A's pre-folds http://www.maldenmills.com/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/209
Let me know if you've heard anything. What fleece would I order from maldenmills? 100 wt? 200 wt? Their site makes it kinda hard to figure out what the material you're actually getting looks like http://www.milldirecttextiles.com/dept2.asp

HI! I would like to know the answer to that question too. Please let me know what you find out.

lactic acid can build up in your breast milk, but I think it doesn't bother all babies. My cousin's son had really bad reflux, and it was worse when she fed him after exercising. Her doctor told her to pump and dump after exercising, to get rid of the milk that was causing his reflux to get worse. I don't remember how long after exercising she did this. You could ask your doctor if you should wait and see if it bothers your baby, or if you need to go ahead and start pumping and dumping just after you exercise.
