So Happy that I am pregnant, Hubby and I have been ttc for just over 4 years.
I had almost given up.
We were due to attend an IVF appointment on the 11th oct, only to find out we were already pregnant LOL.
Congrats to all you mothers out there, esp those who are first timers, what a lovely feeling it is to be a woman xxxxxxxxxx

Hi Everyone,
Hope that you are all well! Hubby and I went to see the Midwife on wed, all seems to be ok and on track, did my first 4 blood tests. No ultrascan was given - much to my disappointment. I am trying hard to enjoy this pregnancy (I am) but I am worried and wont stop til I see the baby on the scan and looking lovely and heathly.
I have been having vivid dreams about my baby, feeding and changing, and OMG my heart melted smelling and holding my baby in my dream - didnt want to wake up.

I have reached week 10 and I am starting to feel a little easier about the pregnancy, another 2 weeks til my first u/s. I pray that we see a happy little healthy baby floating around, having fun in a comfy warm little home for the next 6 months. The little 'under construction pains' are still here every so often and My stomach is so warm. However I am riding an emotional rollercoaster at the moment. My cravings have gone, and have been replaced with loathing towards spicy foods and their smells, chilli is really bad at the moment, and I once loved crisps, now I cant have them near me. I fancy going out this week and treating myself to a new hairstyle a manicure and pedicure, a real nice pamper session that makes mum feel lovely and baby feel happy off these emotions

Thursday Jan 3rd 2008Had a nice xmas and nice new year, enjoyed the winter veg on offer through the many dinners I ate. I keep thinking I am feeling flutters, but cant be sure. Looking forward to my 20 week scan to find out the gender of the baby. Booked my 3d/4d scan for march so that we can see our little baba `s face for the first time.Hope all you mothers to be are well xxxx

We are having a little boy!! We had our 21 week scan yesterday and they 90% confirmed it to be a boy. A little boy is going to be a fabulous addition to our family xxx

Really happy to be in week 27. Had a 4d scan yesterday- which went well, was really delighted to see my lovely little lad move about inside of me,and being able to feel this at the same time, I already love my son so very much, I look forward to the day where his father and I can hold him in our arms and tell him just how wonderful he really is, and how lucky we are to have him with us in our lives. (guess the pregnancy hormoes have truly kicked in for crying :) lol )

Well went to doctor and no new news. Still will not even talk about inducing until about 41.5 weeks. I will go for a stress test Saturday if needed and then if things are good I will go to 42 weeks. Do you have any stress test done yet????

omg how exciting!!! i'll be sending you TONS of labour dust, and your perinium will be in my thoughts lol! Good luck with everything although i'm sure you don't need it and will both do fine. I can't wait to see the little guy you've created. It's such a short time really isn't it. I should be back online soon so will be able to speak to you more on the forum, though i'm sure you'll have your hands full and won't get much time to post. Probably about the time you settle into your routines properly and get time to go online i'll be ready to give birth.

I think you will be ok and hope that they decide sooner than later to give a c-section to if needed. My sister baby was over 11 pounds and she is small like us and is 5'2 there was a lot of stitching afterward but she did it. Maybe there estimation is wrong and your baby is smaller maybe mine will be as will. If they let me go the 10 days over she will weight in at about 10 pound give or take a pound. I know we will be ok and they have drugs to help relieve your pain. I am going to go natural if I can my other two were natural but that was 15 and 13 years ago so we will see. Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing.

How come they are waiting so long to let you hve your little one. I just dont understand why they let us smaller people go so long and take the risk of our babies getting stuck. My doctor does not even blink twice when it comes to me having a huge baby. Will wish you luck and let me know how things go.

LOL awesome hon! very exciting huh? No idea on his size... they said he probably wouldn't be more than 8 pounds to deliver - but that was at my 38 week appointment and when they were banking on me going before my due date... if I'm going to be a week late, I think I might prefer NOT knowing until he's out lol! All the best to you honey - hope little flip flop makes it as painless as possible, and fast! Will be thinking of you! XXX

I am five foot as will and very concerned about having a large baby. My doctor says I will be fine but I really dont think I can push a 9 pounder out. I am hoping they are wrong about my weight they think two weeks ago she was 7.5 pound and they gain about 1 pound a week she should be getting close to 9 pounds. Crazy how it seems the little girls are having the big babies. Good Luck

i total agree, im soooo ready to be a mum now and every bad pain feels like its the start of labour! i know they just wont stop coming and they will get worse and worse!! but i dont even mind the thought of it now coz iv been thinking for a week that it was labour so im used to the idea of going to hospital. Do u know wat ur havin?? x x

I had a drug free labor with my son. to cope with the pain, I breathed through each contractions, rather than focusing on the pain, I focused on my breathing or on the tv. I wanted my child to be born without any drugs because Ihave heard that the epi may slow labor down. I was also induced with my son, it's nothing to be scared about.. I looked at labor as a reward because in the end, through all that hard pain, you get to hold your baby!! =] It's the most wonderful feeling in the world!
Oh and the pain is INTANTLY GONE after that baby is out of you.. It's weird!
