More..

Hi. I am 26 years old and expecting my second child. We found out that the baby is a boy and we couldn't be more excited!! My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and will be turning 3 about 3 weeks after this baby is born. As of right now baby is doing great but I am not doing so good. I have SPD which is pretty severe pain in and around my pubic area. I had it the last couple of weeks with my first one but with this pregnancy the pain already started in my 4th month. It has gotten to the point where I can't walk without having pain no matter what. I have a maternity belt and I am seeing a Chiropractor now to help adjust me but I still have lots of pain and I just hope I can make it to the end. I would love to talk to other mommies who are expecting and if anyone has SPD I would love to hear what they are doing to cope with the pain.

My SPD symptoms have already started ... much earlier with this pregnancy than my first. I don't have that recliner any more either, so I suppose I'll end up on the couch at the end of my pregnancy too :( . Massages on my lower back (my husband) and chiropractic appointments help, but the relief is temporary...only having the baby will make it go away.

I looked up SPD in wiki and found the info interesting. I think my sis has this she is 5 mos and somedays she says is hard to walk. They recommended a maternity belt but I'm guessing her symptoms are mild. I will pass this on to her. Hope all goes well I couldn't imagine that happening to me w/ my 3 boys and living on a 5th floor walk up. YIKES! Good luck sweetie!!

Hey! I know sometimes it can get hard with younger children but some are easier than others when introducing a new baby. I really do hope my soon-2-be 2 yr old takes it well. *crossing fingers* Time will tell! Q: What exactly is SPD?
