Thursday, 1 May i would much rather prefer a normal delivery becos i dont want the pain of the c-sect surgery afterwards and the catheter etc! still going to ask my gynae again at my next appointment on monday if she thinks normal birth is possible or advisable... on one hand i want baby out right now,on the other i still want the normal birth and could wait a few weeks for tht if my BP is under control... Thursday, 1 May Just for laughs why dont you visit another doctor and get a second opinion? Look for some1 who is professional at natural births. MommyJewels -
Tuesday, 29 April I would really fight for what you want. My doctor said that it doesn't have any thing to do with height, but rather your pelvic size. I have had four friends until five foot all give birth naturally:) Two of my friends had babies over 8lbs. I was worried about being small as well...but my doctor said that they don't know until you are in labor if the baby will fit through the pelvis or not. Maybe you doctor is questioning your pelvis size? I would just stand your ground if you want to have a natural delivery.
It's hard to be dependend on others...but you will recover. It is major surgery, but it's amazing how strong your body is and what it can get through:) I have heard some incredibly quick recovery stories. I have been reading birthstories.com CAUTION though...I am the type of person that likes to know everything and all the details. I sent the link to one of the ladies on here and it freaked her out more:( I guess it's all about how much you want to learn. I would just share all your concerns with your doctor. My family assumed that I would have to have a c-section because of my size....but my doctor hasn't brought it up at all and just said they don't know until birth usually. Just be focused on having a great outcome and having that baby in your arms:) Mommyjewels -
Monday, 28 April Hey~
Let us know about your doctor appointment. I'm sorry that you are nervous about a c-section. I'm tiny too! Just a tad over 5 feet tall! NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
