Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker Bravado Bras at Nurtured Family

May 12, 2008

IT’S A GIRL!!

I went to the doctor last Wednesday and found out! I was for sure I was having a boy! But this is a pleasant surprise! My next appointment is June 5th and I have to do the blood test for gestational diabetes. I scheduled another ultrasound too just to be sure she’s a girl!

I got some baby stuff this past weekend – along with a new car! I had a Mustang which of course was NOT baby friendly! I now have a beautiful, nice 4 door family car! I am so happy! I can’t wait to bring my Princess home in it in September!

I have been feeling really good! Besides having to pee all day and all night, I am great! Sleeping is getting better. Found out I’ve gained 14 lbs total so far which is on target my doc said. But I tell you what – I sure can feel the strain of carrying all this extra weight! My body definitely is not used to it! Baby girl is moving ALL the time now and we can feel her from the outside! I was in the bathtub this morning and she was kicking…I held real still and watched and sure enough I SAW her kick real lightly! It was so cute! All is well!!!

April 14, 2008

Well I have for sure been feeling the baby move! It's the most awesome feeling ever. Every time it moves, I can't help but smile. Everything is going great so far. The only problem I am having is not being able to sleep AT ALL. I was awake for 2 days straight, and as tired as I was, I was not able to drift off to sleep. I finally asked my dr. if something like Benadryl would be ok to take and he said yes, so needless to say - I am fully rested! I have 23 more days til I find out if I am having a son or daughter!!

April 1, 2008

It's April now...getting closer, though September seems forever away!! I am almost 17 weeks, and I swear I've felt the baby move - it was different than gas or indigestion. But it sucks not being 100% sure!

My next appointment is on the 10th but I'm not going to get to find out the sex then. I'm getting impatient! I'm ready to pick out names and start shopping! I'm tired of referring to the baby as "the baby" !! ha ha

Tom is getting more and more excited, which of course I am glad! He has been rubbing my belly and touching it. It is growing! I am really showing! People can tell I am pregnant which makes me happy. So now I don't just look fat! My belly has been itching so much but everyone tells me to not scratch! I swear I use cocoa butter lotion everyday, but yikes! I can't get my belly and boobs to quit itching!! It's hard to concentrate at work still (not as much as it was when I first found out I was pregnant!) but I am getting bored...I've looked at every single pregnancy website there is. Sigh. I am trying to take it one day at a time. But I just can't wait til the baby is here! I can't wait to see what he/she looks like! I can't wait to hold him/her!!

I am in denial about how big my boobs are I went from a 36 dd to what is now an over flowing 40ddd yes that is 3d’s not a typo and they are pouring out of the bra. Some days I love the way they look in certain shirts. Because I am not thin, you can’t tell I am pregnant depending on what shirt I have on, but my boobs WOW is all I have to say.

Hi!
I am in pursuit of finding legitimate work from home. I read on the Work From Home Forum, you posted a comment (several weeks ago) that you were interested in the medical transcription jobs. I am searching for that too, have you had any luck? I sure would appreciate any information and pointers you can give me!
Thanks for your help!! :)

Thank you so much for this - this is exactly what I was looking for. I hope its makes my sis feel better. I can't imagine what she is going through : to give you an idea, after they could not find the baby's heartbeat, they had to induce her, and she went through a 4-5 hour labor to deliver her baby, one she would know that she would never hear, or keep. Thanks again.

not really, still no AF (5 weeks late on thursday) we finally found insurance we can afford and contacted the midwife we want to use..so we're planning to go get a blood test around the 20th (as long as i haven't started by then). all bodily indications are pregnancy accept for a BFP..so that's the update. i'll keep you posted! thanks for checking in. how's your pregnancy going?

mommy-allie - Tuesday, 1 Apr

christina1869 - Saturday, 29 Mar
Hi there Stacy, Im due the day before you and I have to wait until 29th of April before I can find out the sex of the baby so I know how you feel. It makes me so Mad when you here all the other girls saying that they already know. Over here in the UK they say its best to wait until at least 20wks which is when the sex organs are fully formed (less chance of been wrong). Anyway good luck in your pregnancy and I hope all goes well for you.. Christina

Hi there! You have a year (I think..it's been awhile) to complete the course. I had a job at the time, and my grandparents and aunt watched my oldest, so I took my time with it. I did end up getting depressed and quitting my job when I had a miscarriage (right when I was finishing the course), and it took me 3 months to find a job (I'm stubborn and wanted to go it alone instead of use the PIE program they have! lol) There are many national companies who will hire anyone from anywhere in the US. I live in Ohio, and the hospitals I type for are in Michigan. I do everything over the internet. My aunt, on the other hand, has been doing it for 16 years. She's always typed for local doctors and picked up tapes to take home and do. There is just about every combination of job you can imagine out there.

Hi there! I saw your post on the WAHM board. I do medical transcription and have been doing it for 5 1/2 years now. I LOVE it! I quit my old job as a bill collector when my oldest was about 18 months and have been home ever since. I'm now expecting my 4th. I took an at home course through MTEC, Inc. They are an accredited school through the state of Ohio and the American Association of Medical Transcription (which has recently changed it's name to embrace other aspects of health information management, but I can't for the life of me remember what the new name is.) Yes, it does cost money for the course, but you are getting an education. The only thing I would say is not to go through Harcourt and things like you get in your credit card statement. This school has a special course that trains you to be ready to work from home. They also offer help in finding employment for new grads (alot of places want you to have 2+ years of experience, but they have companies that will accept a new grad, as long as they have a certain GPA and pass the preemployment testing.) I still get job opportunities emailed to me at least twice a week through our graduate email list. I make good money, enough that my husband quit the job he was at when I had my third (the little 2 are 11 months apart) to help take care of the kids, and I just worked a little extra, and he was able to help me for 4 months while I got used to working with 3 kids age 3 and under! He's now got a much better paying job, so I don't have to work quite so much, maybe 4-6 hours a day depending on how the kids behave (and how much time I spend playing on the computer instead of working, like I am now!! lol) There is also a website, mtdaily.com, where you can see the job opportunities that are out there once you get some experience. I love what I do, I get to be home with my kids, I take my oldest to and from school and can go to all of her achievement ceremonies and class parties, but I'm still making a valuable contribution to society. Feel free to ask me any questions!

The 12 year old sounds like he has insecurity issues with his relationship with you and his dad. Even though he is 12, he is still a kid and needs to feel important and special. He sounds kinda resentful for some reason. I was a child of divorce and change was very difficult even when I was a teenager. Your hubby needs to take more control of the situation and attend to his son's obvious need for attention. He should not be getting upset with you. Good luck!

shaaf - Saturday, 23 Feb
You have every right to be upset! Your husband should understand how you feel! He should be getting upset as well at his son for making rude remarks. Sounds like the son has some jealousy issues. I dont want to tell you what to do, but if I were you, I would get the son involved more with the pregnancy. The next time you all are out, take them to the baby store and have the son pick out an outfit for the baby. Maybe schedule a tour of the maternity dept where you are having the baby and take him with you. We had to enroll our 3yr old in a sibling class that is being offered at the hospital b/c she is having a hard time transitioning. She goes next Saturday. Also, when the baby is born, present the sons with a gift from the baby. Something that'll make them realize that they are big brothers.. Hopefully the son will change once the baby is actually here and he sees him.
