My husband, Ben, and I have been married for close to 4 years and TTC since October '07. I found out that I was pregnant for the first time May 24, 2008, but unfortunately on June 9 it was confirmed that I had miscarried (the day that I should have turned 6 weeks).

7/17/08 - I'M PREGNANT AGAIN!!!! WOO HOO!! I have no idea how far along I am since it has only been a little over a month since my m/c and I never had my period in that time. I go back to the dr. on Monday to recheck my levels and he will predict from there. I'm thinking that I can't be more than 3 or 4 weeks because on Sunday 7/13 I got a BFN then on Thurs 7/17 I now have a BFP!!

7/21/08 - The Dr. said that my levels looked great! We are guessing that I am at 4 weeks.

8/6/08 - I am sooooo tired! I can't do any of the same things that I used to! Forget cleaning the house all at one time (my husband says I'm an obsessive compulsive cleaner), forget getting out of bed before 12:00 - when I do get out of bed, its only to go to lay down on the couch!! I know it sounds like I am complaining - I'm not - I know how blessed I am to be pregnant and I know that this is a good sign that my baby is ok... I just feel like such a useless blob! I hate it!! :)

8/15/08 - I had my first u/s today and everything looks great!! The heartbeat was 171! We go back in three weeks (Sept. 4) to make sure that heartbeat is still strong and everything is still going good.

8/22/08 - Just 3 weeks 5 days until I'm out of the first trimester!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

9/4/08 - Went to the Dr. today, we're kinda bummed because we thought that we were going to have another u/s, but he just checked the heartbeat. Everything is great there!! We go back Oct. 1 to find out if its a boy or girl!!!

9/30/08 - I was online and saw some 'at home' baby gender predictor kits. Although tomorrow we are scheduled to go in for a "fun" u/s with my Dr's nurse to find out the sex, I am impatient and want to know now! : ) I run to the grocery store and pick up two tests - one for today and one for tomorrow before my appt. I figure that if I get three of the same result, I should be at least 99.9% positive about what I'm having. So, I get home and read the directions.... 1-Must use first morning urine (Crap!) 2-Must not have had sex in the past 48 hours (Crap!). So I get online to see how strict these directions are and the webpage says no sex in the last 24 hours. It had probably been around 34 hours (TMI, sorry) so hubby and I decided to go ahead and take the test. Well, it says swirl not shake your tee tee around but hubby was a little too anxious and did it too hard.... When the pee mixed with whatever it is in there, it started bubbling and went all over the place! After the 10 minute wait period it was dark on bottom (boy) but lighter on top (girl). The instructions said that if the urine gets darker, its a boy - so thats what we went with.

10/1/08 - I wake up to pee at 3:30 in the morning (around 43 hours past intercourse). It does turn a few shades darker, so again we conclude it's a boy. At 11:30 we get to the Dr's office and almost immediately the nurse exclaims "You're having a baby girl!" What!?! I had prepared myself for a boy all night long! I just started laughing and poor hubby didn't know what to do... Luckily, we go back this Friday to see the actual Dr. for another u/s and hopefully we will get the the same answer from him. From what I can tell, it looks like since I didn't wait the full 48 hrs after intercourse, there was still sperm/testosterone - making it a false boy result. I guess we will just have to wait for the Doc's opinion on Friday! : )
