I am pregnant!!!! Wow how weird is this. This is my first child. I say this is weird because I had no idea what to expect. You see lots of movies and have friends that are pregnant, but you never really know what it is like until you are pregnant.

How I found out..... Well I was very tired and it was my 5 wk (LMP) abd I realized that I had missed my mp by 7 days. So I took a test, positive. I cried, but then stopped and thought that it wasn't real. So I called my Dr. and they said congrats you are, and you don't need to come in until you are about 8 weeks. Does everyone expeirence that? I thought I at least needed to go in for a test or something I didn't believe it. So I went home and took a different test. Sure enough positive. Now I needed to tell my husband. I could hardly wait.

How I told my husband.....So I bought a card with Big Ben on it and the Paris Eiffel tower and wrote in the inside "I guess we are going to have to wait to go back to these places...." I put the test inside and had him open it. At first he was confused and then asked "Are you serious?" I said yes and started crying and he was very shocked. We were not planning this and it was a huge surprise. After about 30 minutes it kicked in and he was very excited. The moment of sharing the news of your first with your partner is an unforgettable moment.

Today.... We are extremely excited and can't wait for the birth of our first born!!! I have been very very hungry, and very nauseated. I am already showing a little, but mostly bloated. I am already in maternety clothes because nothing I own fits me. :(

First Dr's visit.... I went to the Dr. when I was 8 weeks and of course got poked and prodded. What fun!!! But I did get to see my baby and heard the heart beat!!!! The heart beat was the best. 154 bpm. The Dr. said that was great heart beat. I got a picture of the blob and now have it framed. I am a proud mom already!

Well it is a boy!!!! Could not be happier. Of course my husband is very excited. He is really into the pregnancy now. No names picked out yet, but I figure we will find one soon. The baby was 1 lb 1 oz and 10 inches long. I have already gained 25 pounds!!! Yikes!!!! Dr. hasn't said anything to me yet about the weight, but it is all one huge belly. The nurses tell me I am all baby, I guess that is why they haven't said anything but still I look bigger than most women that are 8 months.
