Profile pic ~ Daddy, our 1 year old and Mommy!!!

June 15, 2009

I'm anxious awaiting bloodwork and news! I took a test 2 days early and am excited and shocked!!! I'm anxious for tomorrow to see what my OB has to say!!!

A brief version of our story:

We had a very dramatic beginning. We were told several times we would inevitably miscarry, so 5 ultrasounds and many blood tests later, we made it to 20 weeks, happy and healthy! The time has flown by since then... the 2nd trimester, I'm not really sure what happened to it! It still seems to miraculous to be true! We are fighting the most extreme of emotions, as my Dad has a GBM which is the most aggressive of brain tumors, and we are rejoicing in our pregnancy. It is certainly quite the roller coaster ride for our family.

We have managed to get this far without finding out the gender of the baby. I have offered my Dad the option of finding out, but he wants to wait for June... I think it gives him something else to look forward to. We have finally started getting things for the baby. And are excited for that moment after labor when the Dr. says "It's a _____!"

I hope to encourage those of you out there with difficult pregnancies. There is so much the Doctor's really don't know. Between this pregnancy and my Dad's tumor, that is something I have learned... Doctor's certainly do NOT know everything. It is difficult, wanting something so badly (my husband and I took several months to get pregnant), and then having Doctor's tell you it's never going to happen. Thankfully, sometimes there is a different plan in store for us than what those Dr's say. I have a lot of hope and a lot of faith!

How`s my pregnancy doing?
