Hello and Congratulations to all the Mommys to Be! I am a 24 year old animator from Canada and I got married to my soulmate on June 23, 2007! We found out about the pregnancy on December 16, 2007 and were a little surprised but very excited! This is our first baby and so far everything seems to be going great!

We had our first prenatel appointment on January 11th and met our Dr. for the first time. She is awesome and will most likely be the one delivering our baby. Since we had no idea how far along we were she ordered an ultrasound for dating purposes. On February 7th our baby measured 12 weeks and 1 day giving us a due date of August 20th!! Since then I've had another prenatel appointment where our baby's heartrate measured 160bpm on the doppler and my next appointment is Thursday March 20th, we also get another ultrasound that same day so we can't wait!!!

We are keeping the baby's gender a surprise until the big day, but I keep having baby dreams.... the first 2 months they were all about boy babies and the last 2 months they are all about girl babies!! so I have no strong instincts as to what we're having. Today I am 17 weeks 6 days pregnant and have been feeling little kicks since the first day of week 17. It is an amazing feeling and i cannot wait until the kicks are strong enough for my husband to feel!

The pregnancy has been going pretty complication free so far. I had mild nauseousness from week 7-12 and was exhasted most of the first trimester and had really sore breasts, but since week 13 all of those discomforts seem to have gone away and my belly seems to be popping out more and more each day! I can definately tell my bellybutton is more shallow this week... The only thing I have noticed that is weird is I've been getting a lot of headaches the last couple of weeks and I didn't seem to have any in the first trimester at all. I keep a list of little things I notice, but assume are normal parts of pregnancy to discuss with my Dr. just in case. Anyways, thats me caught up to date so far.
