Jan 5, 2007 was a very busy day for me, I went with my grandma to the doctor, my husband was on his way home with the truck so I needed to be with someone just incase I went into labor. When we left the doctor's, Carlos called to let me know that he was close to home, so I left my grandma's and went to the store to buy food and pick him up from the truck. We got home and I fixed dinner for us, I cracked a joke with Carlos sayin' "watch me go into labor with this spicy food" so i poured some hot sauce on my dinner, I took two bites and I felt a pop inside me, I stood up and the water was everywhere lol, my water broke and I was just standing in the kitchen in the puddle thinking oh crap this is really it. Well in a hurry I called the doctor and my family and then we headed up to the hospital. When I got there they had a room ready for me so I got changed and the nurse checked me, I was only 2cm dilated, my contractions were nothing, I kinda laughed at the at first. A little later my family came in and we talked for a bit, around midnight they left so they can get some sleep before the baby arrived. The nurse came in again and I told her that I was wanting a shower and to walk, so I went and took a relaxing shower and walked the halls a bit, after that the nurse checked me again and I was 4 cm, the contractions were starting to hurt so I went back into a nice hot shower for about an hour and went to bed and try to relax. Then another nurse came in and checked me again and I was still 4 cm dilated so she left the room not saying a word to me, then she came back with another IV bag but it had pitocin in it this time.....lol how lovely....not 10 minutes after she did that the contractions were getting rough, they were comming every 2 minutes and they were in my back, the nurse told me that I was having back labor......like I didn't know lol.... around 7 in the morning I was 7 cm dilated and in major pain, I told Carlos to call the family because I knew it wouldn't be much longer. The nurse came in to offer me the epidural, I told her no but believe me deep down I was wanting it but I know I would regret it if I would've taken it because I was wanting a natural birth. Finally at 9 am I was 10 cm dilated and the doctor and two nurses came in. I pushed and pushed, and I even pushed when I didn't feel like it lol, I was so tired of being pregnant and wanted him out now. Finally at 9:37 am my beautiful little baby BOY was born. Jan. 6th 2007, Daniel was 9 pounds even and 21 1/4 inches long, big baby indeed lol. After he was born my husband was bouncing by my bed saying "it's a boy, honey it's a boy" gave me a kiss on my cheek and ran outside to tell my family! After 12 hours of labor without the epidural was rather painful (duh) but very very worth it and if I had another baby I think I would do it natural again!

Daniel had his first doctor's visit today and he is now 9 pounds and 11 ounces and 22 1/4 inches long!!! Boy is he growing! He is now able to hold his head up and steady for short periods of time, he also is staying awake and alert for long periods of time, and he is now trying to roll over on to his stomach!!!

Daniel now weighs 12lbs and 8oz and is 24 inches long, I was just curious on how much he weighs so I took him to the doctor the other day to had him weighed and measured. It seems that all his weight is going to his cheeks lol, and getting longer because he don't have a chubby belly. That boy eats a lot, I think I'm gonna have to buy a cow to keep him fed lol! He has become a very active baby, when I lay him down to sleep, I wake up a few hours later to find that he scooted himself in the other direction, he is just soooo cute! He is still trying to roll onto his stomach, but still has not made it yet, but I bet it won't be long until it happens. Daniel has a doctor's appoinment on March 6, I'm gonna feel bad for him because he is gonna get his shots!!!

Daniel had his shots Tuesday {what a way to spend his 2 month birthday) the poor guy, well he weighs 12lbs 13 oz and is 24 inches long! He is growing soooooo fast. Doctor says he's doing good. He is teething already, he loves to chew on everything, and he is just drooling like crazy, but the doctor said that teething can go on for months before that tooth finally appears, we'll see how long it takes.

Daniel rolled over lastnight!!! I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to get him to do it, but I guess when I left for the gym lastnight he decided to roll over for grandpa. My dad said he rolled from his tummy to his back. He is just growing so well, he doesn't like to be treated like a baby, he hates being cradled or lying down, he wants me to hold him standing on my lap all the time. Everyone thinks that he is gonna go straight into walking, and not crawling.

Daniel had his first solid food today! I first tried peas and he just spit that back out ( I don't blame him) then I tried rice cereal and he just ate that like crazy. I know they say wait til 4 months, but he sits up perfect, he's been smacking his lips when I'm eating my food, and his little reflex with the tongue is gone so he can accept something other than liquid. He also got the rainforest jumperoo, and he just loves it so much, he just jumps and grabs at the toys like crazy. I can't believe how much he has changed in the last 3 months, he is my lil pride and joy, he just fills my days with so much laughter.

Daniel had his four month checkup yesterday! He is 15 pounds, 2 ounces and 26 inches long!!! He also had his second round of shots but he didn't scream as much this time heeheehee I found a way to distract him with the wonderful bottle lol! That boy really doesn't care whats going on when his mouth is plugged with a bottle lol! When I was at the doctor's yesterday I was just looking at this 2 week old baby and I couldn't believe that Daniel grew soooo fast, this man was feeding the baby and cuddling it and here I was with this little monkey on my lap trying to jump off my lap lol, but I love how active Daniel is now, he has a cute personality, I just love it.

Daniel can somewhat crawl now yay!!! He'll have his head on the floor and push his butt way up in the air and push forward with his feet and get a few inches forward before his butt leans to one side then he falls back down.... it's so funny to see, he picks himself up again to do it all over!!!

Daniel went swimming today!!! He had a blast, he just loves the water so much, I thought I would have a nervous break down with him in the pool, but I was just fine actually! He's a natural swimmer, I was holding him by his sides in the water and he was just paddling those little feet, it was just so much fun, and he just looked so cute!

YAY!!! Danny is 6 months old today!!! He had his 6 month appointment today and he was 18 lbs 2 oz and 28 1/2 inches long!!! The doctor said he was a very long baby, and at a normal weight range, and everything was perfect, yay! He was very upset with the shots today and not even a bottle stopped the crying this time, and his legs turned red and swelled a bit, but it all went down, so he's okay now. He's been trying to pull to a standing position lately on my furniture so I know it won't be long before he'll be standing, then finally walking, he is growing way too fast.

Well today Daniel decided that it was time to learn how to pull up to stand today!!! He just crawled over to the couch and put his hands up on the cushions and I was just watching and wondering if he'll actually pull up, because he's been trying that for the past week or so, and then I looked back over at him and there he was standing holding on to the couch with one hand looking at me like "wow look what I can do now ma!" lol it was just too cute.

I haven't updated for a long time lol. Well little Danny has been walking for almost a month now!!! He also knows how to climb up everything, he climbs on the couch and chair and even out of his playpen!!! I just don't know what to do with him, lol, he's a handfull now but I love it so much. I just can't believe that he's close to a year old now. He has a mind of his own, that's for sure, he hates the car seat lol, it's always a struggle to get anywhere because he won't sit down in his car seat, and now his new thing he likes to do is try to climb out the shopping cart, he sure doesn't like to be trapped anywhere, he wants to be free to explore everything. Well I think that's about it for now.

YAY!!! It's Daniel's birthday today! I really can't believe how fast this year has went, but I guess that's what happens. Daniel has been doing so great, he done so much in a year, he has been very advance in a lot of things, like crawling at five months and walking at nine months, I'm so proud of him. The party went great today, not a big party, but that is okay, I don't think this little guy will be able to handle something big right now lol. Daniel still doesn't say many words, just things like DADA, MAMA, BABA, PAPA, and PAW PAW (grandpa), bye bye, hi, and the funniest one, uh oh! lol it's so cute when he says that one. Daniel seems to be doing something new everyday almost, when I was brushing his hair this morning he grabbed the brush and started brushing it himself, I was shocked to see him do that because usually everything ends up in his mouth, and then later today he took his sock off like usual but this time he was trying to put it back on, which was so funny to watch him do. Daniel has his 12 month check up on Tuesday, I can't wait to see how big he's gotten, it's been six months since he seen the doctor. Well, I'm worn out and ready for the day to end.

Well we went to see the doctor today, poor little guy had a day from hell already, lol. He got one shot and his blood drawn, and he was pissed about it, it was too funny though, when the nurse came in he started fussing, he knew what was gonna happen, and after she got the shot done and walked out I got him to calm down and just when I did that here came the lab lady to draw his blood and he cried at the sight of her, lol, he knew that these ladies were gonna do nothing but prick his arms and legs. Well I guess it wasn't so bad because once I got him in the car to head back he was sleeping like a rock. Anyways the little man is now 30 inches long and weighs 22.6 pounds!!! He sure didn't grow much this past six months, only about 4 pounds and 1 1/2 inches, he used to be very tall for his age, now he's right in the middle and now he's kinda slim for his age too. I really don't see how he could be, that boy eats everything in sight! A really funny thing happen when I got home from the doctor's, I put him in his chair to eat some bananas and I had his left over b-day cake right by him, well I went to do something and when I got back he done pulled the box of cake on to his highchair and was digging in it, I just couldn't believe what I was seeing, I guess that's a normal kid for ya, rather eat cake than the healthy stuff lol.

Daniel had his 15 month check up today, he is a little over 23 pounds and is about 32 inches long, he sure is getting taller but not gaining much at all. Well he's been sick the past week, last Monday he had a really high fever 103.7 degrees, but thankfully he was over that by Wednesday, he's still taking some meds though, I think he'll be finish with those tomarrow, but other than that he's doing great. He got four shots today and it took four of us to hold him down but he didn't cry that much afterwards, lol, I think it's because the lab lady gave him a sucker for being such a good boy about it. He's saying more words and trying to feed himself with a fork and spoon. I think I'm gonna try the potty training thing again, I'm probably gonna let him loose with just underwear so he can start to realize when he's wet...lol, I know that's gonna be one hell of a mess but somehow he's gonna have to learn and I want him outta the diapers before he hit two, and that's only nine months away and time flys way too fast, but I know my son is a fast learner, he's well advance for his age the doctor said so maybe he'll have the potty thing down pat by 18 months or so. I think that's about all the updates I have right now.
