My profile

Ok pregnant with my first. Had a missed miscarriage early last year and didnt even know i was pregnant until i started passing out a couple of months later.also never even heard of a missed miscarriage before i had mine so bit anxious about everything changing in my body. My partner is 34 and has 2 children of his own and is finding it hard to get excited about our baby because it wasnt planned and he didnt want anymore anyway. We have only been together since last September and are moving in together in a few days. Im trying to get excited about being pregnant but

1- I dont feel preggers

2- My partners a bit distant and

3- Im worried about my history.

I hope things get better because i really want to enjoy this experience. Our little miracle.

Ok my man is getting excited now, hes told his kids that im pregnant and they were fine about it, thank goodness, i was so worried about that. Im getting so big now i cant believe it, im actually a heffa, lol. Babies kicking now and then and i cant wait till Iain can feel it too. And i can say that im getting excited about being a mummy, scared!!!!!! but excited.

OK 28 weeks now, thought i was big before but now im getting enormous and my lovely BF loves calling me fat guts and his friends are calling me bloater, but i can handle that because im sooo excited about being a mummy. And i know they are just playing. Well ive got a very active baby that just loves to batter me,lol! Its great because most of my family have felt the kicks, except my mum as she lives in turkey and wont be over till september 22nd. its a bit upsetting but i talk to her nearly every other day, i know she hates missing this but she will be here for the birth as long as im not really early. Anyway hope youre all doing well you lovely mummys-to-be!!!

I am not joking you every pregnancy is like your fist, I am on my 3rd and can't remember a thing of what I am supposed to feel like and if I did a diary I would be like why am I not having that yet! I hope all goes well for you chick x

It sounds oh so normal and just what I am going through at the moment and it is the first time I have had this happen apart from week 12. Sometimes i swear baby has his hand right out there and wants to wave, I get the pressure and it hurts like hell. You have to take things easy now as any little wrong turn and it is multiplied pain for some reason. If you are unsure and need to get checked, call your midwife at the hospital and see what they have to say. If you are having great movements then that is really good I hope I have helped you x

Hi, read your blog in 33 wk. Yes, the lower pain I get too if I am using those muscels by picking up stuff, bending to side to side. It could be lightening also, where baby is droping into position. I would rest them and drink lots of water. I get them when I toss and turn to my sides in bed also. I am so ready for this baby to be born!
Take care.

oh and by the way you don't sound dumb at all, how can you be expected to know something you haven't been taught?

it helps ease colic, gas, sore tummies and all that sort of thing they sell bottles of it for reasonable prices. It's basically just a medicine (but not an actual pharmaceutical medicine) that helps with tummy upsets and things like that.

Just curious...Did they tell you your number/count....Normal is 11-15. I personally was a 10.9 and they still put me on iron...even though I really felt fine. I'm only taking half a pill a day because so many of those iron supplements make your stomach cramp, have constipation, etc.

yes her name will probably get shortened to either ellie or ella not sure which yet, or may even be elle (like elle mcpherson). Baby moves loads but when ever I yell quick put your hand here she stops !! I find if I drink ice cold drinks she moves more.

I think Missy is adorable! If you have a boy what about William (Will for short) or my Personal Favourite but my husband hates it : Kieran. I wanted Kieran ALexander but he can't get his head round the Celtic sound of the name. Maybe since you're in the UK it could work for you? Good luck!

I'm having another girl :) calling her Eleanor Ruby (My first daughter was named after Lucy in the sky with diamonds so this next one is going to be named after Eleanor Rigby - I'm a big beatles fan) Although I'm 30 weeks now nobody except me has felt the baby move my Boyfriend are always a few seconds late in being able to feel anything - it's sooo frustrating !!

on the otherhand, if your water does break while pouring drinks, you'll prolly make some AWESOME tips!! Good luck with your situation. with your next comment... I bought crystal light on the go packets... but the LiveActive kind... they have fiber in them, taste great, and you drink your water! I would recommend them... and eating lots of fiber.

Hey, wouldn't you know I can't do dairy every since I became pregnant.! I have a hard time digesting it. Anyway, I took some Mylanta-acid blocker and it helped a little. Just a strange night, I felt so bad every where. I finally got to sleep at 4am and got up a 7am with my five year old. You tknow three hours is not bad.....I will be dragging my ass today! Thanks for your response!

My maternity leave is upaid too. Don't feel alone, I think there are probably a lot of us in the same boat. I only have 8 official weeks of leave but I think my work will be flexible and give me another 4 unofficially. I've just trying to save as much as I can so I'll have more to work with when my income is only my earned vacation time from work and 6 holidays. My husband has been working like crazy, poor guy.

shosho - Monday, 14 July
Don't worry- We are in the same boat- I'm praying that my husband gets some deals through soon- we are running out of money and I still have to worry about my maternity leave (unpaid of coarse) anyways... things always seem to work out. Besides the baby doesn't care if his room is finished- in fact my 11 mos old son doesn't even know he has a room- he's always slept in our room. Diapers are sold EVERY where and the hospital always sends you home with a bunch, you need some clothes and blankets also easy to get... don't worry it'll all come together. It just feels overwhelming.

hey don't worry didn't think you where been rude! im sure your bloke will get some work soon everything will work out in time for the baby coming. its ok i having nothing either but im kinda thinking it will happen when it happens. my hubby is waiting for the nesting to start im thinking its not going to happen my baby wants a nice chilled out mommy not a big clean freak. how's your bump? mine is getting mean at night time he is aiming his kicks right where they hurt. im already threatening him with embarrassing costumes and photo albums.

b.bell20 - Thursday, 10 July
hey hows it going, it seems to be going really fast for me at the min! my step kids are down from Scotland for the summer holidays so the days are just flying by i can't believe i am going to be in week 27 tomorrow, my blood pressure has gone down thank god just got to keep chilled out and not do to much, which im enjoying my hubby thins im milking it slightly. ( he might have something there) hows your bump and your bloke doing? hope your feeling well.

b.bell20 - Tuesday, 1 July
i wouldn't worry about your 21st i had just come out of hospital after having spinal surgery on mine, so was not allowed to drink so i said i'd have a huge blow out on my 22nd then i was really ill and couldn't drink, so i said i'd do it on my 23rd but i was un expectedly pregnant so couldn't drink, im guessing 21st birthdays just aren't meant to be big anymore!!. iv just been put on complete rest i went to the hospital yesterday for a checkup and my blood pressure was through the roof, i had to go on to the ward for 1 hour while they monitored me and the baby and if it didn't go down slightly they where going to admit me, luckily it went down a bit, but i have to go back next week and im not allowed to do anything stressful! im sure when you meet the kids it will be great, i find that been younger you can have more fun with them, my step-sons think im cool and daddies boring, but im sure my son will think im boring and embarrasing!

b.bell20 - Sunday, 29 June
I definitely have not got my head around the idea of been a mummy, i know im pregnant and that im having a baby but it hasn't sunk in yet that im going to be a mummy for the rest of my life!! yeah my belly is twitching away i love it! he licks my phone off my belly to which is a fun game. im a worrier to if he doesn't move as much one day as he has another i start to panic. they must be getting us ready for the worries of motherhood i think ill be Grey by the time he's a week old lol!! so are you hoping to meet your partners kids soon?

wilsonwilson - Sunday, 29 June
Hi, how are you, I saw your post and would like to comment, my DH feels the same. If you suck and lick the nipple it is better than if you squeeze behind the areola when you get a huge mouthful, sorry for being unsightly gross but a tip x
