Baby Chase at one week old (and MOMMY:)



.... Hello everyone!!!!! Chase Michael was born on May 2, 2007 at 1:08pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. On Tues afternoon my contractions started picking up again and finally got to the point that I had to call my husband at work... I couldn't wait the hour it would take him to get home so my dad took me to the hospital. They hooked me up to the moniter (as they had 2 times the previous week...and we waited. My husband got there around 5:30PM. As the evening wore on the contractions continued and got worse and worse. I still had not progresed past 2cm. 50% They decided to keep me overnight--good choice since I couldn't walk!!! They gave me nubain overnight, but it wore off after 4 hours. In the morning the Dr. checked me--still nothing. He said "do you want me to break your water or do you want to go home?" Like I had a choice! Thank God he broke my water... They started pitocin at 8:ooam.. That sucked, but I knew that it was the only option. After 3 more hours of terrible contractions --they gave me an epidural. By 12:30 I was 10 cm. and 100%. UNBELIEVABLE!! I pushed for 20 minutes and at 1:08pm-TA_DA!!! I had a really mean, sucky nurse overnight, but the ones I had throughout my delivery and recovery were really nice. The one nurse was like,"oh you had such a quick labor!! I said yeah, if you don't count the 23 hours of bad contractions before they started the 3 hours of pitocin and my epidural!! Whatever the case--I'm so happy my little guy is finally here and he is healthy and doing great!! I love him and my Colton so so so much--I can't imagine being happier...Being a mommy is by far the best thing I've ever done in my life--next to landing a terrific husband! Mike has been so wonderful to me--I am very lucky. I was able to come home on May 3rd--in the evening. I hope everyone else is doing well too--you have all been so great to talk with and I look forward to talking with everyone in the near future!!!:)Now--if I can just figure out how to add more pictures to this page!! well--I figured out the pict. adding-thing--they are a bit out of order-but you get the idea!!!
