Hello All,

Very happy to be here. My husband and I just found out that we're having a baby. We have been kind of trying since October and were expecting in February, however due to circumstances unknown I had a miscarriage by the end of February.

Walking on pins and needles I'm about 5 weeks pregnant now. Praying for nothing but the best.

We are very blessed to have two boys already and were praying for a girl, however at this point, we just want a healthy baby.

5/30/08

Went today for a internal sono and my doctor's office said they saw NOTHING!!! Yes nothing, I wasn't going to accept this since I went to a specialist on May 20 and they saw a sac. Suppose I should back track a bit and let you know this is the SAME exact head nurse (my doctor's wife) who told me there was no fetal pole in FEB...two weeks later I had a miscarriage. So you could see why I took into my own hands to go to my primary care doctor and ask him for a referral to see a specialist in between OB visits. She brushed me off on the 12th of May and told me to come back in two weeks. If I had NOT done this I would have left that office today thinking I AM NOT pregnant.

So after a few choice words I got a new referral to go to the same specialist and get another sono done...today. They saw me and then saw a sac.... she at first told me she saw no fetal pole my heart sank....then... she angled it another way and I saw my baby AND A fluttering heartbeat! 146 BEATS PER minute to be precise! This sono still put me at 6 wks 4 days, with a due date of Jan 20, 09.

I was just so happy to see a SAC, BABY, & HEARTBEAT!!!

I finally just NOW after having several visits to my OB are they acknowleding that I'm pregnant. And YES I've had several positive blood tests, urine tests, and my HCG levels are on the rise. But I just think it's sad that I've been pregnant for all this time now and it's like they didn't want to acknowledge it until we saw a heartbeat. I have my first prenatal appointment on June 30, this is rather silly to me since I will be knocking on the end of my first trimester. But thank GOD for that part.

Today I went for my first "real" prenatal check up, they did a pelvic exame and then did an internal sono because I had been spotting. Well ONCE again they saw nothing! Which literally scares the crap out of any pregnant woman!

So after yesterdays scare it was off to the specialist again. And what a wonderful day today is. We got to see our little bean, which is now a little gummie bear =0) with arm buds, leg buds, and we even saw the yolk sac this time. The heartbeat was a STRONG 182 beats a minute AND little bear is measuring 9 WEEKS instead of 8. HOW COOL IS THIS? So I got to skip right through week 8 and go to 9 YIPPIE!!!!!!!

It's been a while but thought I'd update a bit. After several scares things seem to be going better now. I went today for my 18 week ultrasound and they did all the measurements and I'm right on track. We also found out that we're having another BOY!!!!! We thought we were but now there's NO DOUBT! So it will be my three sons..LOL
