Hey everyone! I love this website. It's so nice to be able to talk to others that are going through the same thing!

Here's some info on my background. I'm a stay at home mom since 5/25/06. I managed an accounting department for 10 years and I'm glad to be home with my children now. My husband is an attorney (don't hold that against me!). He's a wonderful christian man that's such a blessing to have in my life. I've been married to him for 10 years. We met playing volleyball and we still play every week. He adopted my first child. We live in a big 4 bedroom house that's starting to feel small. :-) We now have 3 wonderful boys, Alex age 13, Aaron age 2 and Eli our little man. So, I know what it's like to have a teenager and to have 2 young ones close together (the younger 2 are 18 months apart).

Thanks for checking in on me!

18 weeks!!

38 weeks! Officially my LONGEST pregnancy ever!!

Birth Story:

I woke up at 3:30 am on Saturday 8/11/07 having a little pain with my contractions. I came to the computer and set up contractionmaster.com to time them while I played Solitaire. It was nice and peaceful, the whole house was asleep there was this calmness about it. I timed them for a couple hours and they were anywhere from 15-5 mintues apart. I decided to call my mom since she is a retired midwife before I woke up my husband or called my doc. She didn't answer her cell right away, so she called my house. I told her she probably just woke up my husband Andy. Of course within seconds I see him at the top of the stairs wondering what is going on. My mom told me to take a walk and see if they got further apart. She told me I was in a prelude and they would get further apart, but I'd be in real labor within 24 hours. I told Andy to go back to bed and I'd wake him if it was time. It was 6:00 am by then and I walked the neighborhood in the nice crisp cool morning air. Watched the sun come up. I only had 1 bad contraction that whole hour, so just as she had said, they'd be further apart. Around 9:00 am we called his parents and my step mother to let them know I'd be going into labor today. They were set up to watch my other children during our hospital stay. My contractions were about 25 mintues apart then, but they were getting stronger. At 3:30 I called my mom back and told her I went from 20 min. apart, next one was 15, next few were between 6-7 min. so I asked her if she thought it was time to call my doc. She said to lay down then in about 1/2 hr take a shower and if they are still the same to call my doc. I layed down through 2 contractions in 10 minutes. They were strong. I called my doc and she said she'd meet me at the hospital. I told my mom I was going in. I'm ready. I was 4 cm dialated when I got to the hospital at 4:45pm. They checked us into a room at 5:55pm. I got in the big tub as soon as they'd let me. They told me the baby looked good on the monitor and I didn't have to be hooked up anymore! That was music to my ears! I got in the tub and did the rest of my laboring in there. The last 5 contractions were pretty strong. I was calling out for my husband asking him to help me. He was so good he'd get in my face and say "I'm here honey... come on lets breathe through this." I've never been vocal during labor before, but I cried out a few times. It was just me, my husband and my mom in the room for most of my labor. The nurse came in to check me after my water broke in the tub and I was 6 cm. 15 minutes later I told them I had to push NOW! I started pushing in the tub and my mom asked if that's where I wanted to deliver. I was not planning on a water birth so I said no... I had no idea how I was going to get out of this HUGE tub with the pain I was in. They helped me out as quickly as possible. I couldn't stop pushing. The doc wasn't even in the room. My husband helped me into bed and missed the head being born. From the time I told them I had to push he was out in 2 minutes! What a miracle. After all the threat of c-section from him being breech until 36 weeks, having issues with his heartrate taking dives and his head not being in the right position.... I was HOLDING my healthy baby boy!

WELCOME ELI!

Thanks. Yeah it stinks that Cherry is gone. We still have Frankie. I do not know what we will do if we loose him too.

I'm so glad you enjoyed them :-). I re-watch your videos all the time with Travis, he loves watching other babies and little kids. My favorite has to be ACE headbutting Eli, Eli's laugh is just too contagious!

Aw they are such lovely videos, the boys play nice together. I must get a camcorder, or work out how to use the one on the camera! Joe will roll a ball to me, but he only throws by accident at the moment, if he's waving his arms around.....I THINK its by accident, maybe he means it!

Ya, Anna doesn't walk a ton yet either. Sometimes she will do it for quite a while, but then other times she just stands there. I am glad that it is something that can be fixed if needed...I will keep an eye on her. If you decide to take him in, let me know what you find out:)

Terah, I noticed the same thing with Anna walking this weekend!! It has really been bothering me and I wasn't sure what to do. Are you going to bring Eli to the doctor now or wait? I didn't know if she was doing it just because she is just now starting to walk and her legs are just trying to figure out where to go or what. I was thinking I would wait and see if it got better as she walked more...but if you think it is better to take them now, let me know!!!

Wow, definitely much lighter! You have beautiful skin too! My husbands Grandpa was trying to convince me that the sun was good for Travis and kept taking off his sunhat. It made me crazy because that's such an old belief and that's why so many old people have skin cancer now. Even though Travis does have dark skin I'm still going to avoid the sun as much as possible with him. I think in one of your pictures you mentioned how white Eli was compared to you and I had to laugh because it is just the opposite with us. Ever since the first time I breast fed him it was so very obvious that he didn't get his color from me! My husband gets so tan that he starts to look dirty. Do you ever wear a really light sunscreen, like 5? I was just thinking that maybe I should start convincing my husband to wear something to protect his skin when we go to the shore this summer.

Oh...well i havent updated much this page since April because i was wondering doing one big update altogether.Plus,it has been a bit quite hectic going through quite a few doc's appointments before and after ovulations and then again all the other pills along-I just came out of my last 2 procedures this week. They didnt throw any negative news.I am just waiting for the biopsy part and some latest blood work through the hematologist and he already told me i might need daily shots of some blood thinner through out my pregnancy.I will have the final word on those shots on 06/30.Meanwhile,i am thinking if i should rather not wait to get pregnant again.I was hoping to wait a few months maybe a year but i still have to keep taking all these pills pregnant or not until the end of the 1rst trimester and if i delay the pregnancy i might be putting extra stress in my liver...i am not used to pills at all so this is a bit hard...imagine about those daily shots on top of it all! So,if this is what it is going to take...i might rather get twins-this is nobody's hobby lol! However,i am so happy for you and the little milestones you get to enjoy with the kids.I am actually planning a baby shower for a friend from church who is expecting after 13 yrs! She had to wait about 12 yrs till she got her only daughter that is now 13 and suddenly now she is pregnant again and it is a boy.We are al so excited for her!

Too funny about your Mom!! My Mom's hair was blonde until she had babies and then it turned brown. I was always afraid that that might happen to me but my Mom is a lot more tan than I am. I am about as white as they come and the older I get the more red my hair is turning. The red hair that is growing in is so much thicker than the blonde so my hair is getting even more frizzy with the passing years. I would love straight hair! My MIL has commented so many times that she thinks that Travis wil have my hair color which is just funny to me. He is about 10 shades darker than I am already and he hasn't ever been out in the sun. He is so lucky to have my husbands coloring and I keep telling them that tan people don't have red hair. My guess is that the next one we have will be a ghost like me, poor kid!

littlecavalier - Saturday, 21 June
LOL! This is hilarious, little does poor smiling Aaron know.....

littlecavalier - Saturday, 21 June
Where does he get blonde hair from?? Travis' is getting blonde too but I'm pretty sure it'll turn brown when he gets older, just like my husbands because he is so tan.

littlecavalier - Saturday, 21 June
Awww, I love this look, so cute! Travis loves magazines and newspapers too. I can't believe our little boys are getting so big!

I know what you mean. I used to wear makeup everyday. As I got older I just don't care much to wear it unless we're going out or to a friends ya know? Its too much work! In my pics on here I'm deff pretty dolled up for the most part!

ambrielles mommy - Friday, 20 June
Hey thanks!!! I just mabeline full and soft. Now the trick is I curl the ever living crap out of them! It will probably get me in the long run, they'll probably fall out. Although I only get ready like once a week with mascara so I think I'll be ok! :)

welchmomx5 - Tuesday, 10 June
I just checked out all of your videos for the first time! Yes, I would have to say, that Ace would probably stay at the elephant exhibit at the zoo ALL day!=) He knows what he likes! I am in love with Eli's laugh on the one video with Ace playing with him! It made me laugh out loud! I need to figure out the video thing too! Thanks for sharing!

littlecavalier - Tuesday, 10 June
I love the dancing! Travis doesn't do that at all yet, I've been waiting for him to. I would've thought he would dance to music by now. He loves it when I dance to his music but he doesn't join in. He has really been into copying us lately so maybe he will soon. He has also been saying Dada and Mama a lot but I'm not sure if he knows what they mean. He does know Dada and Puppy because he will look at whoever when I say their name. I can't wait until he has words so he will stop throwing fits all the time! It's so funny though because he throws his head back and starts screaming so I tickle his neck and then he laughs and usually gets over it.

littlecavalier - Tuesday, 10 June
Yuck! Alex is going to have to start doing the cooking and the cleaning :-). I hope all of you feel better soon!!

Alexa - Monday, 9 June
hey! olk so tell me how the hell you do it! haha this baby will be due feb 6 and kayla just turned 9 months.so they will be 18 months apart, i think if im counting right who knows maybe 17 months apart bc im already 6 wks but im sure that will change when I get an ultrasound a little bit. ANYWHO how did you do it when you were pregnant? hope all is well!

babi_blu_1982 - Monday, 9 June
They had a blast. I'm with ya on the brown and pink, i find myself buying those colors for her all the time.

littlecavalier - Monday, 9 June
Travis is a tall fella. The car is pretty small too. I'm not quite sure really how he knows what to do, but he loves it. The tongue thing always cracks me up! I love it when he does it with and without sound. I read somewhere that getting them to click their tongue helps with speech so maybe that will help too? Who knows, it's just so fun now that he is copying everything we do! How is everyone feeling at your house?

tgal - Monday, 9 June
What a handsome little man! What is he eating? Anna loves her finger foods too! Almost to the point where she doesn't want the babyfood as much!
