March 6th - Jack's personality is really starting to show. He's such a talker! He's grabbing asnd swatting at toys. He's so fun!

February 29th - See below - Here's Jack checking out his hands. He's really concentrating hard these days on those things! He's just about figured out that he can control them. He's 10 weeks old this week.

February 23rd - Jack looked at his hands for the first time today. I think it's only a matter of time before he figures out they are his! He's sleeping in his bed in his room now, but it's been a challenge this week as he has been waking at around 2-3a.m. to eat! He was sleeping till 5:30 until this last week. I'm exhausted again - feels like he's a newborn.

February 19th - Jack had his 2 month shots today. He did very well. Only cried a minute and as soon as I scooped him up, he settled down and was happy again. He weighs 13 lbs, and is 24 inches long now. Growing and is so happy!

Jan. 29th - I finally got a good pic of Jack smiling. It took a long time. I love this little face!

January 26th - Jack is 6 weeks old today. He's trying so hard to hold his head up! He smiled for the first time today!

January 24th - Jack is 5 1/2 weeks old this week. He cooed at us for the first time last night. He's trying so hard working his little mouth. I think he'll be a big talker just like his sister. Our Atlanta trip was great. I had a wonderful spa day and it was so relaxing, but I couldn't wait to get home to Kendal and Jack. I actually had enough pumped milk for him while I was gone. Also - an important date today - Grandmamma and Granddaddy celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today. What a great accomplishment!

January 15th- Jack will be a month old tomorrow and he's doing great. Eating well and gaining weight. He weighs about 9lbs 6ozs now. Growing like a little weed. He looks like he is going to smile any day. You can see him making all kinds of faces trying to get it right. I can't wait till I see that handsome smile!

1/2/2008 - Kendal and Jack - 17 days old

Dec. 28th - Jack had a doctor's appointment today. He's doing great. He weighs 7lbs 13 ozs. When we left the hospital, he weigh 7 lbs so he's gained 13 ozs in 9 days! He's doing great. Doctor says I must have that super unleaded milk! Breastfeeding is going very well. No real challenges. It's certainly easier at night time when you're nursing. I never have to get out of bed to tend to him.

My weight loss is going fine. I gained 30 lbs total through the pregnancy. I have lost about 17 lbs so far. I have about 15 lbs to go.

I am enjoying every minute of this baby. We have bonded and are best buddies. Daddy is doing good too, but having a hard time bonding since I do all the feeding. Kendal is a total "little momma". She wants to do everything for him. She's such a big girl.

My birth story summarized....

December 16th - Sunday - I started having contractions around 1:30p.m. by 2:30 pm we started timing them. By 5:30 they were 6 minutes apart for almost an hour. We went to the hospital. I was dilated to a 6 at the time of check in. I was given my iv, and epidural and everything was just great. By 9:00 p.m., I was ready to push. Jack Riley Heavner was born after 3 pushes at 9:30 p.m. We just got home today and I'm exhausted. There are 3 pictures on my pics, and I'll post more later when I have more time. I have a house full of family on their way over! I'm up and feeling great. Breastfeeding is going terrific and I encourage everyone to give it a try. I haven't had a bit of trouble so far. It's a wonderful experience. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes. I love my little man so much! More to come!

July 3, 2007 - We just got back from a wonderful family vacation to Destin Florida. It's so beautiful there. The water is crystal clear and the beaches are as white as sugar. I could totally be a beach bum! I should have some pics to upload soon. I felt huge on that beach with all those skinny bikini girls running around. Being pregnant is a great excuse to eat what you want while on vacation.

My baby Ella is 6 months and 7 days old today! I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is smiling, laughing, cooing, pulling and pushing on things,starting to crawl, sitting up by herself for short periods of time, doing something new and adorable every single day...I love her so much! =)

Wow, I figured if she still had it at 9, it may be with her for life! Her mark has definitely deflated but it's still there. For a while, it was HUGE! The docs predicted it would be gone by the time she was 5. Oh well, docs are wrong a lot!
There are 2 babies I see often who have the mark on their faces. They're really big. Actually, one of the twins on Jon and Kate plus 8 had one on her face but it went away before she was 5.

That's was funny what you said about Jack having enough drool to fill a swimming pool. It just pours out of Gage's mouth. I have to keep a bib on him at all times otherwise we would all be covered in spit-GROSS!!!!! I'm sure Jack will be busting out a tooth any day. Gage didn't get his first until his 6 month appointment. We went in and the Dr. said look he has a tooth popping through. I feel so sorry for these little babies when it comes to teething-I know it has to be painful. WOW jack is sitting up already!! Gage just started sitting up on his own now that's all he wants to do. He even tries to drink his bottles sitting up which makes things a little difficult.

My Surgery is next Wednesday June 11th. UGGGGHHHH Hurry up so I can get this over with!!! I'm staying pretty positive about it. I'm just ready to be done with all this mess! Thanks for the well wishes!!! It means alot!

I'm glad that you and your family are all doing well. I'm sure your Daughter is super excited to get out of school for the summer. Boy do I miss those days!!!!!

AWWWW thanks so much for the awesome compliments on my little guy! I'm telling you we have some serious heartbreakers on our hands!!! The weather was great at the beach-not as warm aas last year but nice anyways!!!

I went for my pre-op appt yesterday and unfortunately the shot didn't shrink the tumor at all the tumor actually grew so it's 12cm not 11. I have the biggest one they've removed laproscopically but they are hopeful that it will work. I will be under for about 6 hours and they said that they will have urologists on stand by if something were to go wrong. I'm a little nervous but all I can do is put it in God's hands and pray that he will give strength and peace of mind that all will go well. I was disappointed that the shot didn't work and the Dr.s seemed baffled as to why it didn't. Crazy huh????

How's Jack doing? Has he started teething yet? Gage is drooling all over the place!!!!!

You're so right they do grow up fast. I'm going to miss this and I try and savor each and every moment because I know it will be short lived!!!!

Hi Tammy! I was just thinking about you the other day! It's been soooo busy around here since school has been out.

I had that specific picture taken at Portrait Innovations. I really liked it too. It was actually hard to get a good photo though because my daughter's hand was broken in that picture and she has a full hot pink cast on the arm not showing. LOL! They did a nice job of hiding it. (Hiding it was my daughter's request.. not mine.. hehe) I also went back and had Zayden's 1 yr photo's taken there. I will post them shortly!

So.... Zayden will be 1 yr old on the 15th of this month. Can you believe it? Since I met you when I first got pregnant.. that means we've known each other... a year and a half. WOW!

Zayden now has 2 teeth... on the bottom. He refuses to crawl but he manages to get into EVERYTHING via scooting and rolling. :)) Last week he weighed 14 pounds 4 ounces and of course he has the best personality! He is sooo much fun! I just found out that he has scarring in his throat from all the tubes in NICU so that is why he is having trouble eating "real food". Looks like he will be eating that yummy baby food for a bit longer... poor guy!

How is my Jack doing? I see he is sitting! YEA! Watch out... soon he will be into everything too! hehe..

Oh.. How is the new sitter working for you? I felt so bad that you had to go through all of that. I remember what it was like when I worked outside the home. I actually like my sitter as a person but she was as reliable as a rock! One day she was sick... the next her kids... the next vacation... Etc. I spent more time off work than I did working some weeks. :))

So good to hear from you. Update me more when you get a chance!

I really don't know what exactly you want. I can only absorb (for free) the time it would take for 2 faces. The obly repayment I ask for under this circumstance is that if you meet anyone who may be interested, to consider recommending me. If you would like a portrait of your family I would have to ask for $10 per xtra face. I have a lot of stuff coming in due to father's day approaching. I would love to give you a portrait of your kids as a gift for your friendship to me in this "virtual" reality - I have come away from this experience here with friends that are real even though we interact in a virtual enviroment. I am hard to deal with, I know, but those who can forgive me of my faults, will no doubt, be lifelong friends! Sorry for getting all personal and stuff, let me know what you are interested in!

My boys will be taking swimming lessons this year. I really wanted to put them in golf but it was at the same time & swimming is more important. We have a community center that does the summer camp and they can only go for two weeks. I wish it were for 2 weeks per month. I am going to see if I can find some other camps in my area. I wish we had a YMCA, they have great programs! Take care!
