pregnancy calendar

I moved all of my first born's things to his own page, including my labor story. I am trying to create a clean space for baby #2, so that updates can easily be found. I just hope and pray the TTC part doesn't take to long. The first time around I was so excited to concieve, but nervous of all the unknowns to come. I had my arms wide open for welcoming the news experiences. This second time around my fears are so different. I had a C-section with my first 9-7-06. With there being scar tissue and will be nervous that the placenta will implant on the scar tissue or over the cervix. I am also scared of reliving the morning sickness. I went through 20 weeks of misery the first time. I am going to prepare myself with Vit B6 and Ginger Tea. I hope that it will work, but I just have a feeling that it won't. I tried a multitude of things last time to alleviate the sickness. Nothing worked!

I really want this to be a VBAC baby. I am in our local ICAN Chapter and reading all kinds of books to educate myself. I have found a doctor that will deliver VBACs, thanks to ICAN. She is an hour and a half away, but it will be so worth it. I have ordered Raspberry Leaf Tea to strengthen and tone my uterus and I have actually started exercising (about time!).

Pregnancy is "in the water" around here, so maybe it won't take long. I am really hoping to concieve by May. I will start getting really axious by that point. What am I saying, I am already anxious, but then I think about all the sleep I will lose, the sickness, and how I have a perfect toddler now and I calm down some.

I took my NuvaRing out on Sunday, January 6, 2008.
I got my BFP on Friday, February 15, 2008

I GOT A BFP! This is the last thing I expected. I can `t believe I got so lucky. Never in my wildest dreams was it ever that easy!

what cd were you on when you tested positive? Im cd 29 and got a bfn Im on a 31 day cycle so thus Im pretty sure its a no-go for me this month.

minnie*me - Thursday, 28 Feb
Bleh.... brushing my teeth is what always did it for me! It was such a horrible feeling... brush teeth... get sick....need to brush teeth again.....vicious cycle!!! Hopefully you'll start feeling better after the first trimester!

minnie*me - Thursday, 28 Feb
Haha...my husband would die!! I guess I am just one of those lucky ladies that has high estrogen all of the time. (That would explain why the mosquitos always feast on me and no one else in the summertime!) Oh-well.... I guess I will have to BD blindly and hope something happens eventually!! So is morning sickness starting to kick in?

kamo - Wednesday, 27 Feb
The midwife mentioned she wanted to establish the pregnancy, so I'm assuming that means check the size of my uterus (pelvic exam) to see how far I am. I will request for U/S because of my fibriod and cyst. You made me chuckle just a little how you referred to the M/S. I told my husband this morning I didn't want anymore ginger tea because I am soooo sick of ginger now. I have been drinking the ginger tea, eating ginger candy and drinking ginger ale. I can't take it anymore. However, I think it was suggested on this website to eat something as soon as I wake up in the morning. I had my husband bring me some crackers and water waiting on my nightstand for when I wake up and I ate it slowly before getting out of bed, cause once I get up that's it, I feel like hitting the floor. It did work a little better that way. Once I got dressed and got ready for work, I then ate my breakfast. Oh, I also had to eat some crackers and cheese right before I went to sleep- no water though. During the day, every 2 hours I just have to snack, otherwise IT'S OVER!

lindseyerin - Wednesday, 27 Feb
Thanks... I am a little nervous about the whole boy thing... I don't know what to do for a boy. I hope it just comes naturally... :)

minnie*me - Wednesday, 27 Feb
It was over the whole stinkin thing!! There were no spots at all... just ferns! But it has gone on for days...and no temp shift. So I am skeptical about it!

minnie*me - Wednesday, 27 Feb
Thanks :) The microscope is deffinitely showing ferning... just not sure if it's gonna work to detect O....it's been 4 days of ferning! I guess it relates to the amount of estrogen in the body.. and I guess it can vary with different women...so apparently it doesn't work with everyone. I think this might be the case for me. Oh-well....at least it was on clearance, so it didn't cost too much :)

emmalouise - Wednesday, 27 Feb

Thank you for your message. It was really helpful. I am glad I am not the only one going through this. I am trying not to worry, I just find it hard as this is my first and I don't really know what happens. I hope you are ok and your pregnancy is going well. I just got a phone call from my midwife for my first appointment, I am so excited! take care xx :)

kamo - Tuesday, 26 Feb
Try to take it easy for the next couple days. Are you still traveling talking with different midwives? How is that going? My nausea has kicked in full blown now. I am still drinking my ginger tea, but it only helps for the moment. The sickness seems to always come back. I'm still enjoying every moment of this blessing though.

Renee11201 - Friday, 22 Feb
yes, dont worry about it. I too had symptoms and they went away for a few days around the same time as you but they returned within a few days.. a few other girls on here have gone through the same thing.. take care, hope this helps

kamo - Friday, 22 Feb
Please, please keep positive thoughts. I have had maybe a day where I don't feel much. But try not to think something is wrong. You will know if something has gone wrong. I had backaches very early with my son, so that's very normal. Oh yeah, I drank the ginger tea this morning and it made me more sick than better. It said to take 30 minutes before or after I ate, so I drank it before breakfast and it did not do justice. It taste good though. I'll try it tonight or after I eat and see if it made a differenc.

Courtneyw - Friday, 22 Feb
Hi there! I went to see BOBB and LOOOOOOVED IT! It is SO well organized and it makes its points so clearly with all of the information and data to back it up. It goes back to how our system GOT this way, and it is shocking. The births are so beautiful! The friend who went with was scared of birth, but said he she saw more births like that she wouldn't have been so scared!

marissam - Friday, 22 Feb
i am the same way. i was feeling symptoms and then they just stopped mine tend to be more pronounced at night. good luck hun XOXOXO

t1stbaby - Friday, 22 Feb
I'm almost 5 weeks and had a morning where i didn't feel the symptoms. Later that night I did. Unless you start bleeding, i wouldn't worry. Our bodies are adjusting so much!

kamo - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Hey girl, I bought some ginger tea today. I'm curious to see how it tastes. First thing this morning the nausea kicked in really strong, but after I ate it was okay. I'm thinking if I drink the tea before I go to bed, when I wake up, I might not feel so bad. I'll let you know how that goes.

esther - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Congratulations Trini. I am so happy for you and your husband. I am sure you are all very excited. What do you think it is? Keep me updated. TTYL Esther

minnie*me - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Haha... I hate the process of having to start over. I got VERY lucky finding my dr with my three kids.... just opened the phone book and picked a name at random.... turned out to be great. I don't think I will get that lucky again.... especially since we are probably moving to a BIG area.... DC. Things seem to be so impersonal when they are seeing patients by the loads!! (That's how it was when I lived in Sacramento...luckily we moved to a smaller area before I got too far into the pg) Good luck on your search! I will deffinitely take your advice and schedule consults when the time comes (hopefully sooner than later!) Thanks!!

minnie*me - Wednesday, 20 Feb
I don't mind reading so much :) I enjoy it actually.... that is good that you are so positive about everything! That is the way to be for sure! You have a great attitude! I didn't realize that the chance of rupture is SO small... I always thought it had to be much higher the way everyone talks about VBAC! I would definitely try then too if I were in your situation. I think I have a pretty good dr. He has delivered all three of my children, but I will be moving this summer and will have to find another dr or midwife, so I am trying to get oppinions and weigh my different options. I will also have to see what the insurance situation is when we move! I am a big baby when it comes to labor though.... I am in love with the epidurals. Are midwives ok with that? I know it has to be ordered by a dr..... ???? Haha... now I am guilty of a novel :) Thanks for the baby dust!

mommy to boys - Wednesday, 20 Feb
HI thanks for stopping by my page and for the congrats...I am a little nervous but excited...I love you little Neelix, I am the mommy to pugs too...my Meeka passed away 2 years ago she was fawn like yours and my Keeno is a black male pug, he is 9 years old now. funny how we both used double ee's in their names. :)

kerijade - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Congrats! *hugs*

minnie*me - Wednesday, 20 Feb
No kidding (about the baby dust)!! Share away!! Hearing the heartbeat is always exciting (and reassuring!) Do you like having a midwife? I have always just gone into the dr.... what is the difference in treatment? Well sounds like you have plenty of time between births.... so hopefully all will be fine for your VBAC. (Does it make you nervous though?)

BabyMakes7 - Wednesday, 20 Feb
You're very welcome, glad you like it!
