pregnancy calendar

I moved all of my first born's things to his own page, including my labor story. I am trying to create a clean space for baby #2, so that updates can easily be found. I just hope and pray the TTC part doesn't take to long. The first time around I was so excited to concieve, but nervous of all the unknowns to come. I had my arms wide open for welcoming the news experiences. This second time around my fears are so different. I had a C-section with my first 9-7-06. With there being scar tissue and will be nervous that the placenta will implant on the scar tissue or over the cervix. I am also scared of reliving the morning sickness. I went through 20 weeks of misery the first time. I am going to prepare myself with Vit B6 and Ginger Tea. I hope that it will work, but I just have a feeling that it won't. I tried a multitude of things last time to alleviate the sickness. Nothing worked!

I really want this to be a VBAC baby. I am in our local ICAN Chapter and reading all kinds of books to educate myself. I have found a doctor that will deliver VBACs, thanks to ICAN. She is an hour and a half away, but it will be so worth it. I have ordered Raspberry Leaf Tea to strengthen and tone my uterus and I have actually started exercising (about time!).

Pregnancy is "in the water" around here, so maybe it won't take long. I am really hoping to concieve by May. I will start getting really axious by that point. What am I saying, I am already anxious, but then I think about all the sleep I will lose, the sickness, and how I have a perfect toddler now and I calm down some.

I took my NuvaRing out on Sunday, January 6, 2008.
I got my BFP on Friday, February 15, 2008

I GOT A BFP! This is the last thing I expected. I can `t believe I got so lucky. Never in my wildest dreams was it ever that easy!

autumnandbabygirl - Monday, 11 Feb
OMG its so hard. The longer I wait the more head games I play with myself....then when test day comes and I see a BFN on the stick I get so upset, it makes me want to give up.
Baby dust to you as well

Thank you Trin, good luck xx

Hi there! No, I didn't finish my doula training as it really isn't going to fit with my daycare right now, but I have a plan in place to be able to quit daycare in 2 years and get by on just my wedding planning income (for my church and VERY season) and doula income. Hopefully by then #4 (and probably last) will be in the plans.

I wish you SO much luck with TTC and with your VBAC. I loved mine and am a HUGE advocate for them (and avoiding the first c/s entirely). I am going to see The Business of Being Born on Tuesday with a friend who just had a c/s (necessary though, breech presentation AND a 6' cord!). I can't wait! Have you seen it yet?

minnie*me - Thursday, 7 Feb
Good luck on TTC! Hopefully you will get your BFP this time around and won't need to start the B6. I just started taking 100mg/day, so we will see if that works. I think my short LP was due to it being my first PPAF..... so hopefully things will get back to normal next month!! Again...Good Luck!! Keep me posted!

srv4lvr - Wednesday, 6 Feb

Just to let you know I got pg w/my second the same week I took the ring out....We thought there was no way because I was spotting all month, but I ovulated the same week I took it out....

Greta - Friday, 1 Feb
Hey, I saw your comment on the general chat and wanted to let you know my baby is taking that antibiotic and the doc said nothing to me about not feeding him for two hours. I think its fine. If it was important the doctors would have told us. Good luck to you

bngonzales - Thursday, 31 Jan
Thanks for the comment. I thought it takes 48 hours as well but they told me that it would have increased today so I said ok...I'm pretty sure it'll be a BFN but its just hard emotionally. But BABY DUST TO YOU!!!

Tiara - Tuesday, 29 Jan
Hi and thanks for replying... I posted the question cuz my doc changed my due date yet again today, back to the date I had originally had because like you I knew when I concdeived but baby wasnt measuring up to that date by u/s. My new doc says its cuz at the start the baby wasnt growing as it should of been so the early u/s's may not have been accurate. Anyway, Im measuring 2 weeks ahead and he says my dates arent importnant right now as I wont make it that far anyway... whoo hoooo lol.... take care and baby dust to you!! ;)

lucysmomma - Monday, 28 Jan
Thank you so much for the advice! Much appreciated!! Good Luck to you!

Hello Trini, How are you? I was wondering when you stopped breastfeeding zachary. I have not breasted Cyrus since the 12 of January. It has been kind of interesting. He wants me told hold him all the time now. I don't remember Ashlee being this way, but she was also on the binki afterwards and Cyrus is not taking one. I also cut him off 3 months earlier than I did with Ashlee. I hope that the TTC part works as you are planning. That will be exciting for you when you do conceive. As for me I am done having children, I had my tubes tied on september 8, 2006.

Hey I saw you on a fellow 'due-date's' page and thought I'd write. I've been back and forth with beckyu for a second now. I know she was considering a vbac and has now a c-section scheduled. It all works different for everyone. But I am a v-backer, lol. You can check out my page if you'd like and if you have any questions or comments feel free to write. This is now my third child and I plan on another (2nd) vbac. I have an appointment tomorrow (I have 18 days left, YEA!) and am getting an u/s scheduled then for the baby's positioning and weight. Have a good one!

beckyu - Tuesday, 15 Jan
i wanted to try for a vbac soooo bad but my dr wouldnt allow it =(

~butterfly*love~ - Monday, 14 Jan
I know what you mean, I want 3 kids but then I think about it and I want 4 so it could also be boy,boy and girl, girl since I already had the first boy it would be nice for the second one to be girl cause I already have the boy but then it would also be nice if it would be another boy so they could be close and grow up together but I dont know I guess I'll wait and see what life and God want to give me.

~butterfly*love~ - Thursday, 10 Jan
Oh wow how exciting! My Fiance and I have been talking about that and we might also TTC around fall or by the end of this year, depends how things are going financially. Well good luck! Are you hoping for another boy or girl?

JessLuvKev - Wednesday, 9 Jan
That is a great idea!! If I dont get my BFP this time Ill try doing that next month. Wow, I would have never thought of that. Lol. Thank you!

JessLuvKev - Tuesday, 8 Jan
How did you find out that you really ovulated on a later date?

~butterfly*love~ - Thursday, 3 Jan

Hi Trini! So it only took me what, 2 wk.'s to reply, lool!! You know how life is with a newborn, WHAT AM I THINKING! Simon is a month old now!! hahaha. Anyway, read your birth story & yes! you're right! If they would have let you labor on you own you would have been just fine. People forget that a bodies NATURAL mechanism to a 'problem' is to FIGHT! When you try to force a baby out of a womans body when baby is not ready, the body does everything in it's power to fight against the UNATURAL forces, (like pictocin, premature ruptre of waters, etc). to protect the baby inside. When those unatural forces are stronger than the bodies protection of the pregnancy, baby's/mom's heart rate drops, blood pressure rises/falls. In short, emergencies occur forcing a woman into a c-sec. If women would remember, 'it's OKAY to say NO', when doc's want to push pictocin or rupture membranes or other little 'helpful' drugs to induce us, the flood gates for failure burst!! A girlfriend of mine said once, 'dr.'s must HATE seeing a 'second time mom' coming'!! She knows what she want & is MUCH more likely to be educated the next time around!!! Maybe in order to get your hubby on board with you about alternitive birht options, is to start studying together statistics, outcomes, options, etc. before you get preg. again. My husband & I did & that's how I got convinced to do, MY HUSBAND was the one saying; 'THIS is the better option for us Love' I was nervous, but trusted our diligent research, & in The LORD to give us wisdom. Not all births should be at home, but at least at a birthing center, or some place where 'Natural' doesn't mean 'just a little bit O'drugs'. And, some NEED to be in the hospital. Either way, researching ALL info makes a more INFORMED & happy mommy. It's much easier to live with the outcome. Best wishes to you, Alisha
