My husband and I got married on the 27th of October, 2007. It was a nice small wedding (about 300 guests), by Nigerian standards anyways! I was actually due to start my period on that same day, I was like just my luck... what a honeymoon! When it didn't start, I thought it was because of all the excitement, but lo and behold I was pregnant! We are so excited about this baby and feel we are truly blessed, its like a special gift from God right on our wedding day!!!
12th March
Yay......We are having a GIRL!!!
Finally had our scan today and Lade actually pumped his fist once the technician said it's a girl! He wanted a girl so bad, he was sure he wouldn't get one for that reason! We both wanted a girl I guess since we could only come up with a girl name...but we would have just been overjoyed no matter what cos the blessing of a having a baby in the first place is simply AWESOME :)
She was waving her hands and legs around and at one point was stretching her neck in the direction of the sound waves, she looks absolutely adorable even if i say so myself! I had tears running down my face and Lade had tears in his eyes too, it was just unbelievable being able to see her like that. Now I can't wait to hold her but July is almost here, in the mean time there is lots of shopping and decorating to do!
Her name is Ileaanuoluwakishu Erinoluwa Kaya. I know her names are a mouthful, the first means Gods mercy never comes to an end or the sun never sets on Gods mercy, she will be called Kishu for short. Erinoluwa means Gods smile or God smiling down on us, Kaya is a name her dad just loves and it means wise one to native Americans or resting place in Japanese. Her names reflect the way Lade and I feel about this special miracle in our lives...We just love her so much already, hope we don't spoil her rotten!

I haven't been on here for ages! my friend Sophie had hers a week ago and I missed it! she 3 weeks early!
I finish work tomorrow and I can't wait!!
How have you been? Hows Kishu and Lade? hey, this will make you laugh, I ahve always moaned my bump hasn't been huge haven't I, well this past few weeks i've gotten bigger, am now in Maternity clothes and to make you laugh, went for my midwife check up yesterday (31 week check) and he is measuring 32-33! that either means he is going to be at least 8lbs or be born earlier! hehehe
What have you been up to? bought anything for her?
Going to the Baby Show on Saturday and I can't wait!!

thanks a lot u almost made me cry.. well i know u r eager to meet ur little one and she is soon to come safe and sound. how have u been feeling? is hubby just as excited? im kind of worried to miscarry again but i know God has a plan and i cannot stop what he has planned just like i swore i wasnt getting preg last month. well he fixed me. and yes science can say whatever it may but a child and the way it grows is truly a blessing from God no one else could ever do such a thing.

I know its got me really off balance because i cant hear. Thats good she's still kicking and stuff and with her daddy too lol....and im excited for you. I cant wait to see pics of her :) and yeah too much sun will get to you because it has me a few times, but i can handle it but i guess its getting hot and it hasnt been like this in awhile and the 1st few times seems like im not use to it, but once i get out there im fine.

Thanks for your message. It's true that the kids probably have more fun with their Dad but I find that the men have smaller bursts of fun and then a whole lot of nothing. As Mums we are a bit more consistent and have way more tolerance for longer periods of time. A lot of Dads I know will hold their babies briefly when they come home from work but are very quick to hand them back, we seem to be able to put in a whole days worth and still not tire of holding our babes. I think that Dads find it easier when the kids are older and begin to respond a bit more.
I am sure you will be a wonderful Mum. To love and nurture is such a privilege. I am far from being super Mum and I think all Mums go through stages of thinking we are not doing so well. It's about remaining consistent and pushing through when the kids are extra grizzly or sick and knowing it's worth putting in the effort now so you can enjoy them as teenagers.

Thank you mama.....i know all this in the air and everything blooming is killing me as well....so watch being outside because in will drain you and where you out because for the past 2 days ive took naps and havent didnt nothing because ive been outside, but not alot today and im not as tired! But its making me feel soo drained as well, and slowing me down and at the same time i got a ear infection and cant hear so im off balance because thats most of your balance....then braiden is getting all my weight, i have none and im carrying more and thats gets me too and little baby pains from him moving. So ive been resting alot lately so just rest and you'll be okay :] and thank you i put them all up from my 5th month and when i found out in april yesterday....and finally got some belly pics haha...i cant wait to meet my little man. Im sure your getting excited!! He has had 3 cases of hiccups since 2 nights ago....he's such a hog! And he is kicking me now or hiccuping again because we had family dinner and that was alot of food haha....how much longer honey do you have? 3 months is getting close for me, everyone thinks im like 3 months or less but hes the size he should be, just not me gaining hahaha....keep in touch and godbless you both as well sweets :]

I hear ya on the tired part. I've been blessed with no back ache yet of any sort. My prenatal coach advises it is because we subconsciously slouch around our bellies and if we make a conscious effort of rolling back our shoulders and sitting up straight it will help to ease the pain. Maybe this wil help?? Or get that husband of yours to do nightly back massages :)
I am so excited about my weight gain. It has seemed to really slow down. At my last appt. I had only gained 1lb over a four week period!! It was so exciting to find that out!! Cole keeps switching from head down position to head up. He's quite an active guy. I'm most comfortable when he's head up as it sometimes feels as though he's using his little fingers to try and crawl out = painful!
I'm so glad to hear that Kishu is doing well!! Let me know about you anemia tests...Hopefully everything is alright!
