My husband and I got married on the 27th of October, 2007. It was a nice small wedding (about 300 guests), by Nigerian standards anyways! I was actually due to start my period on that same day, I was like just my luck... what a honeymoon! When it didn't start, I thought it was because of all the excitement, but lo and behold I was pregnant! We are so excited about this baby and feel we are truly blessed, its like a special gift from God right on our wedding day!!!
12th March
Yay......We are having a GIRL!!!
Finally had our scan today and Lade actually pumped his fist once the technician said it's a girl! He wanted a girl so bad, he was sure he wouldn't get one for that reason! We both wanted a girl I guess since we could only come up with a girl name...but we would have just been overjoyed no matter what cos the blessing of a having a baby in the first place is simply AWESOME :)
She was waving her hands and legs around and at one point was stretching her neck in the direction of the sound waves, she looks absolutely adorable even if i say so myself! I had tears running down my face and Lade had tears in his eyes too, it was just unbelievable being able to see her like that. Now I can't wait to hold her but July is almost here, in the mean time there is lots of shopping and decorating to do!
Her name is Ileaanuoluwakishu Erinoluwa Kaya. I know her names are a mouthful, the first means Gods mercy never comes to an end or the sun never sets on Gods mercy, she will be called Kishu for short. Erinoluwa means Gods smile or God smiling down on us, Kaya is a name her dad just loves and it means wise one to native Americans or resting place in Japanese. Her names reflect the way Lade and I feel about this special miracle in our lives...We just love her so much already, hope we don't spoil her rotten!

OMG! Well two days have passed since you left that message and. HOPEFULLY Kishu has decided to come on out of there since she has no other place to go! But thank you! I've been missing in action once again. They were supposed to induce me on the July 1st because of gestational diabetes but he decided to come on June 27th. He sleeps up a storm but since yesterday he gets so fussy at times. I think it's gas! I never knew infant poop could stink! So I'm really not ready for the days when he starts teething. lol. Do you have a myspace page?

Just checking to see if you had your baby yet. Does your doctor plan on inducing you at all? Your little girl just wants to stay in your belly. Well hopefully she will come soon enough, and when she does all the exrta time she took will be worth it. Keep me posted on when she comes.

I have no clue why I developed pre eclampsia. The dr that delivered me said that I was borderline for it, so he wanted to be safe than sorry. I did have pretty high blood pressure, but my life wasn't in jeopardy or anything!! But, yeah, it was definitely easier than carrying him around for 9 months that's for sure!! Let me know when you have her...can't wait to see pics!! :)

Oh WOW...I can't believe no progress she said she gonna come out when she good and ready!!!! So stop messing with me mommy!! I haven't had Harry yet. One doc is saying to be induced before 40 weeks, another says not that it won't make a difference! I just don't want to have a 9lb baby!
I have a midwife apt tomorrow so we shall see.
