My little girl - - - RILEY - - - was born on the 22nd April 2008, 8lb 7oz (3830g).

Hi, I've been on this website a while now, but only now at 33 weeks have I a bit of time to catch up.

I confirmed my pregnancy on 5th September 2007, although I knew beforehand as the symptoms were quite obvious ( Thank God for toast & ginger nuts!)

8wks; I had a really bad allergic reaction to something and was worried, checked into hospital and all was well. - I had had a miscarriage in Feb 2007.

12+2wks; I had my first scan, and you could tell that I was going to have a little wiggler then... (they don't tend to tell you the sex that early in the UK)

15wks; combined test - got the OK from that.

21+2wks; 2nd scan, again just to make sure everything is growing as it should - I found out what I'm having but as my partner doesn't want to know I'm not telling anyone. Feel free to have a guess though...............................

27+2wks; Had the GTT test, which came back the following week as negative, I don't have diabetes.

28wks; had my first Antenatal with the doctor at hospital, as opposed to seeing my Midwife, as I have a history of big babies, I thought she was going to recommend a cesarean, lucky for me she said that as my body has coped with my two previous pregnancies ok, I can go ahead with a normal delivery. My son was 10lb 5oz and a natural birth (ouch).

33wks; I managed to go to my very first antenatal class yesterday, although not a lot has changed in the 4&10 years since I had my other children, I found it quite interesting, there were 2 other mums-to-be there, although it's there first time - I thoroughly recommended the ''on all fours mooing like a cow'' position, before you laugh - try it!!!

Please fell free to drop me a line - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

16 march 200833+5wksNever ending pain in the right leg, The baby has been laying on a nerve for quite a while now, but as I `m getting bigger the pain is increasing and not only that as I start to ease the pressure by limping the other leg and hip start to hurt, I don `t want to rush my pregnancy but I `ll be glad to be rid of the pain.

18 march 2008 ..Hi all, I `ve just ordered a BABYCARE ELLE TENS MACHINE, to help with pain relief, I had a 2second feel of the midwifes one yesterday - never seen one in action before- It felt quite good................... Have any of you actually used one of these things before? Did it work for you? (in the UK they are on offer at the suppliers (£20.00 off today only I think) if you want to know the details contact - www.babycaretens.com

Wed 9th April - 37+1wks .. Went to the Antenatal Clinic at the hospital today, such a nice doctor again, anyway I knew I was there to arrange a date for induction (large baby). Had an internal and Dr said that I'm not engaged yet but he can feel the babies head, he gave me a sweep, and I'll need another next week with the Midwife.. .. Going to be Induced 21st April by the looks of it - It will be my sons 4th birthday on the 20th.. so near yet so far. (this one has been scanned as weighing 9lbs already).....

Tuesday 22nd April 2008 (39wks) .. .. .. .. .. My daughter RILEY was born at 09.47, weighing in at 8lb 7oz (3830g).

Painful, but not unbearable, so hoping they keep it up. I have already said I am so jealous of those who kno when their babies are ariving, so grrr to you on your induction! I am sure all will go just fine, and I can't wait to read your birth story in a couple of days!!!

LauraBelle21 - Sunday, 20 April

bubbles362 - Saturday, 19 April

milmom2be - Saturday, 19 April
Lol, I figure there are good n bad doctors everywhere, never gonna be 100% on that, I was just hoping to be able to stick closer to home, and at least I know the protocol for the hspital on base, which I am not even 5 min drive from btw, which is why having to drive out to bury would really stink! Hope all goes well with getting your errands done in time! Good Luck with your lil Bump, your almost there!

milmom2be - Saturday, 19 April
And I hope I haven't offended you, I am just weary of being so far away from family, friends, ect...

I'm originally from florida, so it does not snow there, ever, and I love the heat and humidity and that we can bbq outside fo rchristmas! And it can be nice here, but the winters are so gray and depressing and LOOONG! It is nearly may and we still scrap ice off the cars in the morning, I am just missing home these days, sorry, you love it here because it is your home, and I dislike it because it is so different from mine.... So I am here for 2 1/2 yrs longer, have already been here for 1 1/2. I will give birth on base if there is an open bed, but as L&D are under construction there are only 4 beds, so if there is no room I will drive to Bury St Edmunds to deliver. Which might be ok, I could have a water birth there, it is just a bit of a drive and worries me. Also, as it is a brittish hosp and I have never seen a brittish doctor, I would prefer on base as I have a better idea of what to expect on base. But baby will come either way, so I am flexible!!!

ladyintexas - Saturday, 19 April
Thanks you so much!pix are on the page now!

girl-from-oz - Friday, 18 April
I gave up driving because my belly is so close to the steering wheel, and not long ago i reversed into a parked car becasue I couldnt turn around properly to check my blind spot. I will drive down the main street but there are a lot of dirt roads where i live in the country and I think it best if my fiance drives me when i need to go out somewhere. I also have hip instability and driving a manual having to step on the clutch can sometimes hurt in my pelvis....ahhh the things we give up lol!

Britmom - Wednesday, 16 April
I saw MW today, and baby is not engaged at all.... looks like the C/S is still on. I said to hubby I'd do anything to go into labour NOW and he said ' I know what you need' (nudge, nudge), and I said 'Yes, a very hot curry!!'. I don't think thats what he had in mind, but thats all I could manage right now. Ha! Any luck with the latest sweep??

dk - Wednesday, 16 April
Thank you so much my dear for your sincere wishes. I wish the best for all of us as well.

Britmom - Monday, 14 April
I am definately booked for the CS on 24th, unless the little fella decides to come naturally before then...... I am pretty much organised, but need to get some nursing bras and industrial sized knickers from M&S next week!! If you are having a sweep, might you have the baby sooner than 21st? Perhaps you could get the Doc to hold off untill 23rd (St Georges day), it might soon be a bank holiday!!! Take care, and good luck for next week, I'll be thinking of you on 20th!

mommyoneil28 - Sunday, 13 April
goodness gracious! i couldn't imagine! i hope the delivery goes well, but at least your baby seems to be thriving, which is wonderful =) i will be being induced on the 21st because of placental insuffiency, and as for 37 weeks, my little girl was only 5 1/2 lbs =/

Britmom - Sunday, 13 April
Hi, did you get a date for being induced yet? Not long now either way!
