My name is Valerie and I am 26 years old and just got married on 8/3/07 to the most wonderful man ever! We live in Chicago. We found out on 10/13/07 that we were expecting and are thrilled. I have two step daughters who can't wait to see my belly get bigger!!

Yesterday we heard our lil one's heartbeat for the first time! It's amazing!! :) Can't wait to find out the gender! :D

Happy New Year Everyone! :) I still haven't felt mylil one kick yet but on the plus side I got to hear his/her heartbeat again yesterday at my appt! It was a strong 150 bpm! :) I get my big ultrasound at my next appointment on 2/12! What a great Valentine's Day gift =)

I felt my lil one move for the first time last night! It was awesome. It really did feel like gas! lol...I just knew it wasn't cuz it kept on for awhile :)

Today was our ultrasound appt! We are having a little boy! :) He is measuring up to five days ahead of my due date. The doc won't move up my date though, says baby just might be a lil bigger :) He is healthy and already 1 pound 2 oz! I posted my ultrasound pics...so check him out! :D
4/2/08~
So I realized that I haven't made an entry in a looooong time and am overdue. lol. I am exactly 29 weeks today. Baby and I are healthy. I passed my gestational diabetes test back in March. Cristian is moving around all the time now and I absolutely love feeling it all :) This Saturday 4/5, we go to see him at our 3d/4d ultrasound! I can't wait!!! It has almost 2 months since we last seen him and this time in color and action! Awesome :) Just 11 weeks until he is due to arrive....wow! it's going by sooo fast :) April 26th is my baby shower. Hubby and I got most of the things we need and are slowly but surely getting his room ready =)

I am so ready now too! I went to the last week and there where women who were at 42 weeks and still no baby. I am so afraid that is going to be me. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I keep reading the posts and women talking about going into labor and being dilated and while I am happy for them I am so jealous. Good luck!

i went to the doc today and he did an ultrasound. she weighs 5 lbs 5oz and i am a week ahead. so my due date is now the 19th. I am so happy!! i go back in 2 weeks! i am so ready. hope all is well w/ u!

girl i totally understand about dumb ppl. i was gonna vent about it tonight but saw ur comment. i went to pizza hut tonight and some girl behind the counter said man she looks miserable and other day i was at get together and they were saying that i looked past due or should have my baby any day. arrr! i know i am big but u don't tell any women that. it seems women are meaner and u think they would understand. o well soon i will be holding a beautiful baby girl. i try not to get sad about it. hope the rest of ur pregnancy goes well. good luck and God bless!

I am glad to hear you are doing well :) The pictures are so cute. I just can't wait for us to meet our babies. I can't wait to sleep on my belly again lol. I am about ready to kick dan out of our bed though, for being as small as he is he sure takes up a lot of bed space, then I don't have enough room to roll over. Sometimes I have to get completely out of bed just to roll over comfortably. I bet you are super excited for your shower. I wish I could have one. Have you experienced any bh contractions? I have had one bad episode, but other than that just here and here I can feel some tightness. We got 19" of snow this weekend. I sure hope it doesn't come your way, maybe it will move north into Canada. Well back to work I go. Its realy good to hear from you. Talk to you soon!

Hey you!! Ihaven't talked to you in so long! How have you been? Things are going great here. I can't believe how big I am getting :) So whats new with you ? Hey :) Thanks for the response! Sometimes it just gets old hearing so many complain ya know. I am ready for the weekend!! EVen though I have to work Saturday. I am glad I don't have to work with my boss though, it makes it better. My baby was playing with my bladder the other day. It felt like I had to go to the bathroom like 4 times, I would get in there and then poof I wouln't have to go anymore lol. It was pretty funny though. Well I should get going. Hey :) Just thought I would say hello! Had another doc appt yesterday. Everything went well, with the exception of the scale lol. I guess I am pregnant. I was reading some posts the other day and saw some ladies mention they can't wait to get 'skinny' again. Its so hard for me to hear that, ya know. I know we all want to get back down in our weight, but it really bums me out when so many complain! I just think of all the people who want babies so bad and can't get pregnant or the ones who lose theirs. Just venting and bumming. I hope things are well for you!

Hey. I am jealous you have lots of stuff bought. LOL I need to go shopping this weekend. You have to be super excited for you 3D. It will be here quick. We still haven't come up with a first name, have the middle name picked out. Casper, though not after the friendly ghost lol. Its my great x 4 grandpa who homesteaded my families land in South Dakota. Its pretty exciting!! WE really need to start coming up with some name though or time will run out. Hey there :) Long time no talk!! How have you been?? Things have been good here. I had to take the 3 hour glucose test last week. And am so happy to say that I passed :) I also had my other u/s to check the baby's kidneys, and they are looking good! Well at least the same as before. I will probably get to have one more in a few weeks, just so they can keep an eye on thigns!! Its so exciting, I feel so lucky, as long as my baby is doing well that is. I get to see him more than usual. It is soooo nice :) 3 months from today and I am due. I can't believe it. I guess i should probalby get at least something bought for the baby lol. You got things set up yet?? Well I should get going so I can get out of here on time tonight!! I will talk to you soon. Take care!!

Hi, I have had this problem on and off now for about three weeks. Some days, the pain in my ribs is really bad, and some days it's hardly there at all. I've tried to find patterns, but it doesn't really seem to make a different what I'm doing. I have found two things though...when it gets really bad, layign down for even two minutes makes it go away. I don't know if it's actually the baby pressing against the ribs, whereas laying down repositions it, or what it is, but it does help. Unfortunately, on days when it's really bad, it comes back again, so that I have to lay down repeatedly. :( The other thing I found is, the bra you wear does make a difference. When my pain has been really bad, I've taken my bra off and found that it gets a lot better. I actually just purchased two new ones because of this (from 36 to 38), so we'll see how that works out when I get them. I hope it will help! :)

I get that feeling in my ribs a lot now...I sit at a computr desk all day and thats mostly when it feels that way, as though everything is crowded into my ribs. It's mainly your intestines at this point that are doing the crowding though, the little one isn't quite high up enough just yet to get into pushing at your ribs. If it helps I like to lean back to help stretch and create more room for all thats bunched up in there.

I just started getting kicked in my ribs too. W/ my first pregnancy, when i was riding in the car my son used to put his whole little butt between my ribs and skin. That hurts really bad, i'm hoping this one doesn't do that.

lol. i have the opposite, When I'm up and around doing stuff, I find that she like to get low, and kick my hooha from the inside. not so comfortable. but when I lay down in the evening, she finds a much more comfortable postion for me. :).
